This is the cutest diner ever!!! Staff was so enjoyable and shared story about history of diner which is greatest story of all time!!! We shopped and bought jellies and hot sauce while we waited on food...family wants me to drive 2 hours to replace jelly and hot sauce! Everyone's food was outstanding!!! Everything from Benedict, pancakes, biscuits and gravy and special plate...incredible...I'm talking biscuits are better than grandma's!!!! Sorry grandma!!!!Learned they just opened Southern Peach and it's equally Amazing!!!! We went next day!!! Best salad and blackened shrimp ever!!! Love their story, supporting locals, supporting second chances, Christian oriented, great service, we own a rental on lake and highly recommend both to our guests as a MUST VISIT!!!

Awesome waitresses and food is always good !! Frankie brought us food for everyone.Try the ribs!! Our favorite. The chicken fried steak doesn't leave you wanting more.

Loved this little diner! clean restaurant food was great clean bathroom nicely decorated Definitely will return!!! My daughter had the BLT, which looked AMAZING!!! Her cousin had the chicken fried chicken and it looked so good and was a huge portion. My youngest had some cheese fries with boneless chicken wings in them. Sounds weird but I had a couple of bites and it was so good! I had the patty melt. It wasn't bad, but I won't get it again. It was dry and didn't come with condiments. Also, the size of the meat patty was much smaller than the size of the bread. I'll definitely be back again!!

The food is delicious! This is an honest to goodness diner! The service was great. We sat ourselves and were served right away. The food was delicious. The place smelled amazing, it was breakfast time. The woman's bathroom was worn but clean. The atmosphere is very charming with lots of antique memorabilia of yesteryear. I highly recommend this amazing diner! I will be back over and over as I am driving to Houston! This is now my favorite place! It makes me remember the delicious food and smells of my childhood. The water does not taste that great but that is probably the city water. The pancakes are huge and creamy and delicious! Their biscuits are so soft and so so delicious. It was the first thing I ate and I practically inhaled it!!!! The bacon, sausage and eggs were spectacular. The pancakes are Huge. My husband made the mistake of ordering a. Side of pancakes. I could have given him one of mine they are gigantic and wonderful. The hash browns were not that special and the gravy for the chicken fried steak was like bland glue but everything else shined. They served round waffles and a Texas waffle which was a pleasant and surprising touch! Our waitress was very professional and courteous! We left very full and happy!! Go if you love diner breakfast food!! It was really good!

What can you truly say about this place? The decor is a throwback feel to old diner style eating. You truly have some of the nicest and attentive work staff serving you while you are there. They have a buffet on Sunday now. You can get breakfast or lunch buffet style. So far, they have changed up what they serve every Sunday. When it comes to the food, it's neither good nor bad. I really liked the coleslaw. That tasted freshly prepared. The buffet warmer definitely works and almost burned plenty of fingertips while I was there. All in all, you have an all you can eat situation on a Sunday that includes unlimited drinks and one dessert. I can not speak about the taste or quality of any of the food items on the menu. Come try them out.

Hard to rate this place accurately. There's a lot to like here but there were also some misses. Went with 4 stars because of the service. The 3 meat plate. - Excellent ribs. Good sausage, the brisket was dry. In hindsight, stick to the ribs. They are really good. Sides were good as well. The burger was homemade and mostly good except the meat was overcooked. Onion rings were fabulous. Service was outstanding. The waitresses really hustle and they are nice. They need to do something about the flies. I know it's hot outside and difficult to control but it's not a good look when patrons are constantly waving at their plates to shoo away flies.

Excellent food and service! Hubby had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy- so tender and if you order this you better be hungry. Great portion size! I had the BLT and substituted ( for $2 more) fried mushrooms for the fries! Mmmm! Mmmm! Good! Definitely a place we will be visiting again!

We were excited to visit and try, but left very underwhelmed. Definitely not something we would go out of our way to have, but might stop if passing by. The meat was VERY tender! Ribs fall right off the bone and the brisket just shreds apart. This was great! Would we say they're the best ribs like many do, no...but they were soooo tender.We were a little disappointed in the fact that flies kept disturbing us the entire meal, and we were brought our ticket before even being asked or offered if we would like anything else (especially ice cream). We ended up not getting dessert. The place has a nice little charm, reflecting the religious beliefs and some diner decor. It also appeared to be very clean.

Food was ok. My wife really liked hers. My biscuits tasted old and my pancakes were chewy. Service was ok, Our waitress would come here and there but seemed shy. Ambiance was really cool I like the inside of it.

Always the best!! Their chicken fried steak is my favorite ! Their Friday night steak nite is awsome.! Comes with baked potato and salad. You won't leave hungry. The owner keeps his staff busy and they take your order and get it out. All very nice and helpful
