Piece of Cake

I usually go to the buckhead location on Roswell. I only came to this one because I was out in the area. I got there and got my piece of coconut cake like I always do. There was a gentleman in there that came to get his whole cake he had purchased. No problem. I spent some time waiting to be checked out because the cashier (an older black lady with locs), the gentleman and another older lady were conversing sharing pictures of dogs, talking about other things. I'm all for enjoying each others company, but the cashier had looked at me once, seen that I was ready to check out, and continued sharing photos of her dog with the others before looking at me a 2nd time and finally asking if I was ready to check out. When it came time for me to pay, the gentleman was still sort of in my way and even stated "oh I'm in your way". Then the cashier had the nerve to ask me "are you alright?" ????? That felt like an insult at that moment because clearly you've seen I've been ready to check out the moment I got my piece of cake (as evidenced by me putting my arm up against one of the stands they had in there), and instead of taking care of me (the customer) and then continuing your personal conversation with the other people in there, you continued the conversation, proceeded to share pictures, and *then* did you decide to take care of me. It kind of felt like she was offended that *I* was offended that she decided to continue a personal conversation before checking me out. I'll keep going to the buckhead location, though. I just went here because the errands I was running today that would have been out of my way. The level of professionalism just wasn't there.

Visited Piece of Cake with a few friends, who had never been before! I purchased the Red Velvet and Fiancé chose the German Chocolate cake! Both were moist, fresh and absolutely delicious! I don't care what anyone says, Piece of Cake tops Publix, Kroger, any store bought cake! I've also purchased my birthday cake from here, red velvet of course and it was absolutely DIVINE! Piece of Cake will always be my go to!!! Especially since they do my baby red velvet, perfect, every visit!

Piece of Cake is a great example of a small cake shop that does cake really well. It's definitely not a fancy schmancy pretentious business, which is fine with me!Piece of Cake is in a large shopping center, and is on, what I consider, the backside of the shopping center. Free parking is always available in the large shared parking lot. Came here on a Sunday afternoon at around 3 pm. The woman working behind the counter greeted us and asked if she could help us with anything. We each just wanted a slice of cake, so she pointed out where the rack with the slices of cake was. The rack that had the clear plastic to-go containers of cake slices looked like it had been picked over, but the slices of cake still remaining looked delicious. My favorite is Red Velvet, so that's what I picked out. R picked out a slice of Strawberry cake. We took the cake slices to eat later.The employee was wearing a face mask. Signage on the floor showed where customers should stand in line to allow for social distancing.I really enjoyed the red velvet cake slice! The cake was moist and red velvet chocolate-y. What made this layered cake even more delicious was the icing. The icing wasn't sickening sweet like many cake shops make icing. In those instances when the icing is too sweet, I tend to scrape the icing off. I didn't scrape the icing off of this cake slice!Beside cake slices, this place also sells whole cakes, but you have to pre-order them. They also sell cookies, brownies, bars, shortbread and other baked treats. They also sell cards and candles.This is a really good place for moist cake with just the right amount of sweetness in their icing!

Love Piece of Cake over all other bakeries. First visit to this location. Never noticed that German Chocolate slices is more than other slices. Store was clean and associates were very friendly.

Was excited to see a Piece of Cake shop around the area as the ones I have visited in the past have always had a warm and friendly environment.I didn't really get that here, the moment I walked in two people were engaged in a conversation and I just assumed that it was a customer and employee then one of them started sweeping the floor. So I look around and then when I was ready I told the lady behind the counter what I wanted. Something was seriously missing from the whole experience. I don't understand how businesses can have such lack luster service. People don't seem to get that without customers there is no business. It's a pet peeve of mine. Especially if it's practically dead and has no customers. I'm sure no one likes that type of service anywhere they go so why do it to others? Got 2 small cupcakes for around $6. They were very delicious and the icing is some of the best I have had anywhere. Not a big fan of icing but Piece or Cake regardless of location has always come through. They were sold out of some of the cup cakes and even though they had them in the display case there was a sign on which out they were sold out of.

Pound cake was extremely dry, I literally almost choked. Never again, nothing else to write.

Everyone loves cake right?! Well if you want a moist, delicious, satisfying cake then Piece of cake is your place. I would suggest signing up for their newsletter to stay up to date on their current specials and offerings. The strawberry cake is my favorite and you can get cake by the slice or a whole cake. I ordered the cake online the day before my company's holiday party and the pick-up process was simple and efficient. We will use this location for our next gathering.

How do I forget this place so that I don't visit multiple times a week but still remember them for when I have a craving?!Piece of Cake is tucked away in a shopping center that has plenty of free parking in front. When I walked in I was greeted right away. I came for one thing and one thing only...a single slice of red cake and there were about 6 prepackaged slices ready to go. There were also cupcakes and other treats available.The cake was so moist and perfectly crumbly. They nailed the cream cheese icing and it wasn't too sweet. I believe I paid $6.50 for a single slice so this is definitely a treat in my opinion but worth every single bite.

The carrot cake I served was a huge hit. Barely any leftover!! Definitely a good choice for a crowd.
