Phu Xuan Vietnamese Restaurant

This place has been on my radar because of friends telling me about it. It did not disappoint. I wanted to treat myself to a little after work dinner. So I stopped by here a little nervous but the service was nice very simple. I already knew what I wanted haha... ambiance was welcoming. I wanted to try an appetizer too but I was by myself. The bun Bo hue I ordered was super delicious, it came with this ball of meat which was new but I thought it was different and yummy. The variety I got from the bowl was exciting and the broth wasn't too heavy. I would come back to try the other food items because they sell dishes that other Vietnamese restaurants don't have all the time.

I love how I don't have to drive all the way to Bellaire to get my fix for authentic Hue specialties. For me it's only about 20 minutes and I wish I was able to try more. The restaurant was clean, well organized, and had instrumental soft pop playing. The service was polite, quick and efficient. The walls were decorated with rice paddy hats near the entrance. They were also offering 10% off for Thanksgiving. I ordered the banh canh and a plate of banh beo with shrimp and pork cracklin. They came out in only a few minutes. As some other reviewers mentioned, the banh beo was served at room temperature, I would have preferred it to be steamed fresh but I understand that logistically it's more efficient to have them prepped and ready for service. The nuoc cham was a wonderful complement, slightly sweet, with thinly sliced jalapeños. The banh canh was a different style from what I've had growing up but it was still delicious. It's a thick broth type of soup, with thick chewy rice noodles (similar to udon). It was garnished with lots of green onion, cilantro and black pepper that provided a nice contrast to the soup. There were lots of ground shrimp and pork cakes (cha) throughout the soup, like nearly every bite I took had this delicious morsel. I will return, to try more specialties like com hen, banh nam, and others. I'm looking forward to it.

Delicious! Clean atmosphere and very polite . Was a little afraid of trying something new but I honestly glad I did !

Foods are good, services are fast, and environment is great! I ordered 2 items in the pics (forgot the name), they are phenomenal! Definitely will be back and highly recommended!

The owner actually listened to people's reviews. They improved their food and service. I got some togo orders through the phone. All was good.

Been wanting to try this place out since forever but didn't have the chance to cuz they're too far away! But finally! The time has come.The restaurant is really huge. Looks clean and inviting.We ordered combo of banh nam loc, banh beo nhan uot and com hen. Every dish tastes amazing and authentic. They got everything on point even the shrimp inside the "banh loc" is seasoned to perfection! I really am pleased with every dish I ordered. Server was really friendly and polite. He recommended getting their sugarcane drink, which we did get. It was nice, refreshing! Just what we need after a lovely meal!

Hands down for the best truly authentic Bun Bo Hue in town! The broth was clear and flavorful. Food came out pretty fast. The place is spacious enough for all sizes of parties. The staff were also nice. Pricing is a little bit higher but food quality was decent enough for us to come back again.

We were last weekend and still please with the service and food. The banh bèo this time was about smooshy but the rest of the food was OK

One of the best place for authentic Bun Bo Hue! It's different from other BBH places in Houston because this is authentic flavors from central Vietnam!

Food is so tasty. My Viet foodie girlfriend says it is so authentic. I highly recommend it anytime. Great service too!
