Nuovo Giorno Italian Bistro

My food was delivered. The meal was fresh and flavorful. The tiramisu was delicious. I will definitely order from them again.

This is a high end Italian Bistro restaurant at the Desert Diamond Casino in Glendale. Our server, Ariana, was delightful and friendly. Everything was wonderful, as well as the service.I started with the Dry-Aged Meatballs appetizer, which was so decadent. They were so good and had mozzarella cheese oozing out of the center, with fried leeks and tomato sauce...so good! Hubby started with the Lentil Soup, which he loves. It was a large bowl and he enjoyed it immensely. It came with a single ravioli on top, which he found a lovely surprise.For our main courses, I had the Sous Vide Pork Chop over honey-orange pollenta. The pork chop was thick, cooked perfectly and so tender, with a pomodoro sauce over the top. The pollenta had such a fun flavor that paired nicely with the pork. Hubby got the Chicken Marsala over risotto...he inhaled his food. I luckily got a bite and would be thrilled to try that next time...so good!!Another great restaurant at our new casino!!

Working from out of state here this week. Didn't feel like the usual easy places to go eat. I see there was a brand new casino near by so I figured they usually have great food. I wandered in and found this terrific place by the high roller machines. I walked and was promptly greeted and seated with in just a few moments. The food was fantastic. I had the soup of the day and their lasagna and was over stuffed but so happy with my meal. Don't let me fool you it wasn't just about the meal but the entire staff was attentive and very professional and polite. My server was Myriah, and she was above and beyond exceptional! She was well spoken and paid great attention to every little detail while serving me. In fact I was so impressed I came back again the very nice things night and had dinner again and once again I left absolutely happy. full and very very satisfied with yes going two nights in a row! Bonus. I was once again served by Myriah. And she was every bit as great once again. I would encourage you to dine here. Sit in Myriahs section, have a glass of your favorite and loose fitting clothes! Your going to love it. I wish I had taken better pictures but this was the second nights soup and it was great!

Don't waste your money. My husband and I were interested to see the new reopened Desert Diamond Casino and went there in a Saturday night. We visited the Italian Restaurant on site for Dinner. First off, the prices are exorbitant. Second, portions are on the small side. Third, taste was nothing special and fourth, Service was mediocre.Prices/portions: $26 for a small portion of linguine in a mushroom cream sauce. No protien but lots of mushrooms. $14 for caprese salad. $24 for a small bowl of lasagne. Our total bill: $912 miller lights 2 $10 cocktails2 entrees1caprese saladService: The waitress never brought my second $10 cocktail I had ordered. She brought my husband's second beer with no mention of my drink and then dissapeared. I had to enlist another server to find my drink. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and the complete separation from the smells and sounds of the casino is nice as well. Nothing we will ever go back for though we might try the buffet next time.

I stopped in while gambling at Desert Diamond. It's location next to high limits was great since I had just had a good run on blackjack. My wife and I were very hungry so I was seated and Nelly was my server. She was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. We started with the calamari for the appetizers and i loved the chipotle dip that came with it. Was very flavorful and would recommend. Nelly had suggested Braised Short Ribs, Chicken Diablo and a seafood stew, I can't remember the name. Something very Italian name. I went with the short ribs and, OMG, absolutely the best short ribs I've had. They were savory and flavorful. Definitely gonna get again. My wife had the Veal Chop and she was taken aback at how good it was. All in all this was a great experience and will request Nellys section again when we come back. I didn't take a picture but it looks like someone else did if you want to see the calamari and short ribs. My wife got a pic of the chop though

Great food and great staff. Nelly was our server and she was AWESOME! She made sure everything was to our liking. Food is reasonably priced and portions were large. You won't be disappointed if you eat here.
