LA Crab Shack

Food was A+. We ordered hot but i think it was more medium. Also service was outstanding. Nichole took care of us. We ordered the 4lb special with it being 2lb crab and 2lb shrimp. Was well more than enough for 3 people or maybe even 4.

It wasn't bad... it just wasn't good.Honestly I don't know what it was.Got there with my fiancé and everything was going well there was a table of 16 a head of us but nothing major. Only 3 other tables at the time with 2-3 people. It was not busy. We ordered drinks and apps, got everything right away. I ordered 1lb of shrimp at a lvl 3 (hot) it was not hot at all, but it tasted good so I just let it be. My fiance ordered a chicken sandwich (it never came) My fiance asked if it could just be removed because I was done, and they said no at first. Then went to check with the manager.... Like what? Maybe it was just "busy" for them, but everyone else had food. Even tables that got the after.

Went during happy hour. The were attentive and friendly. Oysters were large and very good in addition to be well priced. No mignonette though. They said they were out. It's just vinegar and shallots. How could that happen?Shrimp boil with California Cajun was delicious. Perfectly cooked. Gumbo was good but not very warm. Crab clusters were also great. The garlic noodles with chicken not so great. The chicken was very dry. Someone apparently noticed that the chicken was not eaten and they comped us ice cream for the table. Atmosphere was plain but befitting a crab shack.

Everything was great here, I would say if you go to angry crab and read some of the reviews, I wouldn't say this place is better but I wouldn't say it's worse. They both have their unique taste and both are actually really good. To me angry crab sauce is a littler more runny and here the sauce is thicker like a rue. It is tasty but you can't compare it to the trifecta because it's a different taste: it is still very good, the medium heat to me felt like a low heat at angry crab so if you like stuff spicy definitely do the hot here. The service was great and the staff really took care of us. The restroom was clean and drinks were good. The only reason why I am giving them a 4 instead of a 5 is the shrimp was very over cooked. Other than that this place is very good.

Took my husband for his birthday and we had so much fun digging through our 4 pound bag of Alaskan King crab, clams, snow crab, and Dungeness crab clusters. The potatoes, sausage, egg and corn were great too. This was the first birthday with my husband that we didn't go somewhere fancy, and he said it was one of his favorite birthday dinners at LA Crab Shack.I'm drooling now just thinking about it and can't wait to go back. Just told my husband we need to have a date night really soon.PROS1. Fresh seafood. 2. Waitress was very helpful and explained everything to us since it was our first time there3. This is my go to spot for seafood boil over on the west side! I've tried a handful of places but the sauce is amazing as well as the deals they have. We had the special and dinner was followed by a scoop of free ice cream. All of the food was amazing and has us coming back. I highly recommend it!

Best crab place in phoenix! Wife and I come here almost weekly, the customer service is amazing and the pricing is perfect.

Honestly I'd leave this place a negative review the owner racially profiled my family and did not accept our honesty about how TERRIBLE OUR MEALS WERE do not come here food was horrible my grandmother catfish came pre battered and my little brothers chicken was undercooked the service was not good and our waitress messed all of our orders up first go around the drinks were super think and made extreme to sweet

The food was good but a little too pricey. It is understandable that seafood is more expensive here.

Service was good. The seafood was poor quality. Shrimp was mushy. All you can eat is not worth the money. But the string beans and Fries are amazing.
