Dine At Alterra

Excellent service the quality of the dynamite steak was unbelievable. The smash burger was amazing the meat was so tasty. The lemon fog ricotta was also delicious and the bread used was perfectly toasted

Beautifully appointed restaurant in the Mountain House Lodge at Sereno Canyon. Although located within a gated community, this restaurant is open to the public and the views are fabulous.The food is presented well and tastes fresh. The prices are a bit steep but nothing out of the ordinary for similar fare at restaurants within communities.Great food, service and ambience, so definitely a place to check out!

Terrible service. Untrained staff. Mandatory surcharge of 20%. We will not be returning.

Not ready for prime time. Went for weekend Saturday brunch in May. We were two of only six guests in the whole restaurant. We felt that the food was overpriced, even at brunch, and the dinner menu is very expensive. Felt a bit ripped off to be charged a $6 supplement for a hamburger bun or slice of toast with my salad. Other reviewers rave about the views, but we weren't impressed. Will probably improve as the currently very empty neighborhood fills out. Will wait a couple of years before returning.

Wonderful in every way; food, service and ambience. Highly recommend. Just an FYI they automatically add 20% to the check. Just a FYI we mistakenly tipped twice :)

Automatically adding a 20% gratuity on mediocre service is not cool. Food was ok but not great. Ambiance is nice but it's not worth the drive.

Good food but limited food choices. The menu needs to be revised and have more options. We live in the community and we love going but it's the same old limited menu every time. Also we like food that is more on the healthy side - like fresh fish and more variety in salad choices. As far as service goes, the people are very friendly however, the kitchen is somewhat understaffed, and it always takes a long time to have a meal there. The ambiance is ok, but it does have somewhat of a cafeteria feel because there are no light fixtures hanging from the ceilings it's just can lights. The homeowners are all paying for this facility so I think it would be wise for Alterra management to listen to what the homeowners have to say. A little feedback is always helpful!

Great menu, food quality, drinks, atmosphere and service. We had an awesome dinner. Exceeded expectations

Overpriced menu. Refuse to put anything on for kids even though it's a community restaurant. Dinner menu is super limited. Lunch menu is better but they only offer it during very limited hours. Management team is arrogant and diffident to feedback. Attendance at dinner down sharply - direct result of limited menu - makes ambiance terrible.
