"The sushi rolls were very well prepared with fresh ingredients. I wasn't a fan of the spicy edamame. I'm had more flavorful, plain edamme than what they serve up a spicy here. Nonetheless, the staff were wonderful and helpful. The food arrived at the table in a timely manner. The chef sent a complimentary dish to the table. That brought a smile to my face. :-) All day every day is happy hour! Many rolls to choose from. Although the facility is small, that can accommodate groups. There's lots of parking available. Accessible parking and entrance."
"Great placeLove MickeySad to hear they have trouble keeping a good sushi chef. As a local business owner I get how difficult finding good employees is.Food is amazingSuperb miso soup!!!!!!!!! The decor is ok but we're there for the food and service"

"The all you can eat is seriously such a good deal! You can do most of the menu (hibachi not included in deal) and try a lot of different items! My husband's a big sushi fan & was impressed. Seemed fresh and tasted good. Didn't have anything we really didn't like. Our service was fantastic which was great considering the reviews saying service was terrible. Our waitress was in training since it was actually her first night, but she was so friendly! Maybe they're focusing more on hiring good servers! Clean inside and has a hip/underground Tokyo vibe to it! Only downside is there is a little bit of a smell in the bathroom, which I saw noted in another review. It wasn't terrible so maybe they're trying to figure it out. Will be returning again and probably again and again!"
"Came in to Desert Sky & saw this new place in the food court so I decided to try it! I got the dumplings (they call it something different) & man were they really good! Definitely recommend! The man working was so kind & really took his time to recommend things that are his favorite but also listening to what kind of things I'm interested in too. Wholesome men who I've seen working here! If you're in 'Desert Sky Mall' give this place a try!"
"I've passed by Saketini many times and never gave it much thought, especially after the fire(?) and the burnt/closed appearance. I was craving a crunchy California roll (cause I'm basic) and it actually is really hard to find! I found a crunchy Cali roll on Saketini's menu and bf ordered a Hungry roll (Avo, cream cheese, tuna). We split beef yakisoba. Our to go order was ready within 10-15 minutes! The crunchy Cali roll was okay. It wasn't as "crunchy" as I'd have preferred. The hungry roll was decent as well. They didn't seem particularly fresh. The beef yakisoba was the best item of the three, and had decent wok hay flavor. Overall Saketini was okay. Daruma is located in the same parking lot and is significantly better!"
"My friend and I have been here 3 times now for lunch at the sushi bar and absolutely love this place. Sushi chef Alan has taken excellent care of us since the day we met. My friend and I are pretty pure sushi eaters, getting pretty much the same things every time, but I will say the menu makes me want to deviate, so I've been trying new menu items. I personally am a Ramen and noodle soup lover, so I will have to try their soups on the menu in the future. But in the mean time, the Yellowtail, Tuna, Salmon, Sweet Shrimp, Masago, Uni and Eel Nigiri have all been excellent. The grilled Hamachi Kama also excellent. This 3rd. time here I had the Salmon Uni Ikura Don Bowl... loved it. Everything has been very fresh and tasting wonderful. Great neighborhood addition to an area that is changing and growing fast.Atmosphere: big, full bar area, big sushi bar and big dining tables area. Food: excellent. Service: excellent."
"Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but the food was not good at all. Service was very friendly and attentive.Came here for lunch one day. The restaurant was not busy at all so I was able to get a table right away. There was two other patrons. Food came out fairly fast which was very nice. The seafood salad was super duper sugary and tasted like the package ones you get from the Asian grocery store. I had two bites and left it. The tofu soup was even worse, it was basically packaged miso soup add it with water, and there were pieces of tofu in the soup. This is definitely not the Korean tofu soup that it claims to be. Prices are reasonable, but I definitely would not return for the food."
"We were shopping nearby and decided to order food to-go from Maguro one chilly evening. I called ahead and placed an order for sushi, a veggie ramen, and a tonkotsu ramen. Arrived within 15 minutes. The place was busy, it looked packed. The staff was friendly and helpful. My order was waiting for me when I arrived. I was in and out in minutes. Though the food smelled really good, we exercised some patience and waited until we got home to open it.I was impressed by their ramen packaging. It came in a big bowl with two compartments: one for the broth and one for the veggies and protein. The broth was still warm even after a 20-minute drive. We immediately devoured its contents. My veggie ramen was tasty and satisfying. The portion was pretty generous, too. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. We were both very pleased with our choices!"
"Went Friday night for some sushi. We haven't been to Masa in a year we were in the neighborhood and decided to go. We did change it up we usually got sushi rolls, but this time we tried a combo meal. It was perfect! My wife can't eat a lot of rice and that makes her question whenever I want sushi. She's afraid it will be too much rice. These two items have rice but at a much better ratio. So it was a perfect dinner. The service is very good with the exception of the periodic dish being placed into the bus cart. Good is always great and we were glad to see that it's staying great! A wonderful family spot or individual."
"Best place for price factor and for real quality fish.. it's hard to get toro (fatty tuna) and uni... but I was indeed craving for it. I left completely satisfied. The presentation was beautiful but yet we wasn't paying the price of fancy fine dining. The place is a casual yet homey sushi spot. Service was friendly and food was great! The ramen portions are huge!"
"Sushi with son dinner and we decided to try this place which is new to us. If you're looking for a fancy decorative restaurant this isn't it. But if you are looking for pleasant staff and solid rolls this is definitely the spot. It is a small neighborhood type place. It can get busy which can lead to a wait but we lucked out. We ordered gyoza, spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, spider roll and the volcano roll. All were delicious! Staff was friendly without over doing it and EFFICIENT, but not in the rush you off way. Attentive to topping off drinks, clearing empty serving plates, checking in, etc. I'd definitely pop back in for the rolls and other menu items!"
"Was this a late lunch or an early dinner? I can't really say but I do know that this was an amazing meal. I ordered the Grilled Salmon Fillet with a cherry Coke. My server, Carmen, was so good! She made me a cherry Coke with some grenadine from the bar and recommended getting the salmon blackened. This salmon was cooked medium and was so moist and flavorful. The sautéed and fresh vegetables and half a sliced fresh avocado made the perfect combination. The rice was just enough, instead of covering the plate. We tried @squidinksushi to-go one week night and were very impressed with the sushi and the plates. I returned to see if the salmon was just as good the second time and it was! I have a favorite now but there are so many other good things I want to try on the menu, which isn't too overwhelming with choices. There are some well curated specials and classics. There's sushi bar, bar, high table, booth, and outdoor patio seating. I'm glad this place is close by."

Reminds of a hole in the wall sushi place. Service was SO fast it was awesome. Got seated quick, order was taken quick. Food started coming out super fast. Everything seemed like large portions which was appreciated with a growing teenager with me. Green tea pot was a little weird and hobo cause the kid didn't seem to fit quite right and fell off easily. Seating is a little close but not unusual for a small place like this. Saw people coming in and out for take out orders and seemed like great fast service there too.

Will definitely go back, but with a clear understanding of their Happy Hour. I LOVE Happy Hours -- theirs is great if you know what it is. On the menu it boldly states in a large header "Happy Hour 11am - 7pm." That's only on DRINKS, idiot!HH on food ends at 6pm, but you will realize that later in the evening when $8 chicken wings are actually $14 or some other app is 40% more.Happy Hour on SOLIDS ends at 6pm, liquids until 7pm. Seems easy to communicate, yet it is nowhere in the restaurant. THIS is your only notice of that, so, you're welcome! Even the server was like: "yeah, it's annoying." Lol.Make it clearer on a piece of paper or in equally bold font on the QR code menu. A high schooler in a web design class could fix that HTML for you.

For an all-you-can-eat, this is a great sushi restaurant. The all-you-can-eat menu includes all the basic sushi you'd expect, plus a kitchen menu if you happen to have someone in your group that does not eat sushi. It also includes one order of three pieces of sashimi.Everything is prepared-to-order, so your choices do not sit out in the open pre-made.This is the go-to place to get your fill (quantity) versus quality. So knowing that going in you will not be disappointed with the experience or quality.Service is good and the pricing is reasonable. We definitely recommend Hana Tokyo for all-you-can-eat and will be returning.

This place has by far the most crappy service soo far! How you gonna tell my wife they buy one get one then when she orders a roll you give her one? What is the point of my wife asking if they are BOGO? Then to have the nerve to ask me to wait 15-20 minute for our second roll even after we waited an hr for the initial order. We will definitely be visiting senior sushi. You guys give a bad name to small business

So first I want to apologize coming in 20 minutes before the kitchen closed; if I missed that online I'm sorry. really wanted some sushi after work and this was the only place open. The tables we were sat at felt really gross and I accidentally scraped some of the table off I need my fingernail... gross. We were given water with no ice. When I ordered a miso soup it was never brought so when I asked for it again I was told there was none. Thanks for telling me Sooner. We weren't given wasabi or ginger until we asked for it. I had to get soy sauce off another table. Service was just very mediocre if not slightly poor. Let me tell you what though. The sushi? Phenomenal. Sooooo freaking good. My gosh Got the salmon skin roll, eel and cucumber and the Cristy roll with regular crab instead of spicy crab. It's soo good. Nom nom nom

Zu IzakayaSpider Roll with ginger and wasubi was a very nice beginning to our meal, nice soft shell Crab and just good eating.Gyozas served in a basket with dipping sauce were very good, nice and Crispy served with a nice dipping sauce. Get'em!Galbi with onions, zucchini and mushrooms served on a skillet with Korean style sweet soy sauce. Galbi meat was on the tough side with a bit too much Korean sweet soy sauce. Almost had to scrape some off. Loved the onions, zucchini and mushrooms on the skillet Service was very good and there is plenty of parking where this location was the old "Shogun"Next time we will expand and try a few other entrees.

Apparently Gangnam is the spot to be on Friday nights for the ASU kids! BF and I went around 10PM and this visit was far less enjoyable than usual. It took a good 10 minutes to get acknowledged/seated. Because there were 3 large parties of obnoxious ASU kiddos ordering sake bomb after sake bomb, it was loud and service was slow. Happy hour prices have gone up and portions have gotten smaller. Our order came out ~20 minutes after we ordered, in increments. Our waitress dropped off our gyoza and before she could leave, I told her it was burnt. Like deep fried AF, some pieces nearly blackened! She asked if we wanted another order and we said yes. She was nice but I couldn't believe both she and the cook really thought it was okay to serve!I don't think the elderly ajumma or appa were working, and it showed. The waitresses and waiters were taking shots of sake in the kitchen, and one of the cooks came out, got a beer, and watched the tv for a minute before heading back. I get it- dealing with the ASU crowd must not be fun. But at least go in the back so no one sees you taking shots? Lol. Our HH order of gyoza, bulgogi, spicy bulgogi, chicken katsu, egg rolls, 2 orders of sesame balls, 2 bowls of rice, 1 sake bomb, and crunchy cali roll came out to ~$50 which is not bad for two people. We love Gangnam- just won't be back late at night.

This place is fantastic!! Tried this on a whim because I was craving sushi, and was not disappointed in the least bit. I've been here twice for their lunch special. A hot bowl of miso soup with 3 rolls for $16! Such a deal! Service is extremely fast and attentive. We seated ourselves, and our waitress came immediately after. Very small spot, and very cleanThis is definitely a hidden gem!

"We were in the area and wanted some quick sushi. We love Sushi on Tatum (Sushi Station) by Desert Ridge and decided to try it out. We were seated and provided waters. The server assumed we would just grab from the belt (which we were) but I wanted a side of eel sauce and we never saw her to flag her down until the check. The rolls were okay but there wasn't many on rotation. It looked like there were more drinks, candies and desserts. The edamame was hot and good and the rolls we had were okay but wish there were more options. I think we will stick to Sushi on Tatum but would probably stop in again if we were in the area."
"If you like trendy and loud places, you'll love Palma. The vibe is definitely more sit and enjoy small bites and drinks. We had a large party (and reservations) and it wasn't the best place for what we were trying to do. It was hard to talk to each other without screaming. The various items we ordered were good, but nothing was really out of this word crazy good, including the drinks.Personally, I wouldn't come here again. There were many better options for drinks, food, or both in the area."
"Surpassed my expectation for the price. Seriously so good. The all day happy hour will keep us coming back. I'm so happy to have found a solid sushi place close to home. When I went in to pick up my ordered I noticed that the inside is cozy and neatly decorated, I would dine in if the opportunity presents itself. The cashier/server that took my order was prompt and attentive. My order was ready in a reasonable amount of time."
"Nice bowls. 2 proteins (spicy salmon, and spicy tuna), base of half salad and half rice, 3 sauces (house, spicy ponzu, honey mustard mayo) plus all of the toppings was $17."
"I almost drove by this place because in the back of another store that faces the street. Just know it's in the back I included some photos. As I understand it used to be a food truck and since moved in to this fixed building. They are also in the works of extending their dining area and include bathrooms. No bathrooms available now but they were going to let me use the one in back if necessary. The menu had no prices and the gentleman explained all items were $15.00 except I believe 2 or 3 items. Customer service was good. I tried the cielo mar y tierra roll and opted for the baked after it's fried. They add sauce and crab salad on top of roll then bake for the creation you see in photos. It was delicious. My partner did same option but just stick to beef. Very good and filling. I'd like to come back and try some other items on the menu. Just be patient if you order the baked because it does take a little extra time or just order ahead. Can't wait to go back."
"Sooooo I completely forgot to take a picture of our chef. It was a chick. Her name is Luz. She was great. Great at cooking, great personality, witty and funny like a teppanyaki chef should be. Very engaging. I've been coming here since I was 10 or 11. I came for my 12th birthday and my 18th birthday. I recently read some... poor reviews from people who also have been coming for years and it made me slightly apprehensive to bring a friend for the first time but we took a chance and it's a shame these people had such bad experiences because we had just a good a time as ever. Can't wait to go back always ."
"We were in the area shopping and happened to come across Echo Sushi. We stopped to order couple things. We had sashimi salad and calamari to share. The calamari was really crispy and delicious. It was already salty so didn't really need the accompanying dipping sauce. The sashimi salad had a pleasant dressing on it so we really didn't need soy sauce/wasabi for it. For the price we paid, it came with good amount of sashimi, however, not premium fish/cuts we hoped for.Overall decent place. I saw some ramen dishes coming out of the kitchen and those looked delicious. If you're in the area, give it a try."
"My husband and I have been eating here regularly for a few years and we love it. We usually get the prepared oysters, Ds roll and mar y Tierra quesadilla or burrito. The food is always fresh and delicious, and consistent. When people visit from out of town, we're always so excited to take them to our favorite place. It's hard to find a restaurant we both like so we're so grateful to have this gem nearby."
"Where Allergies Bow, Sake Soars, and Flavors Flourish!Step into Bisutoro and bid adieu to dairy dilemmas! They not only catered to my dairy aversion flawlessly but did so with pizzazz. The drinks? The omakase sake flight steals the spotlight. The other drinks were good, but not super fantastic. They seemed to lack the main ingredient...alcohol. But let's talk food: their steak, cooked to a perfect medium rare, burst with flavor, while their miso cod, swimming in broth, was downright heavenly.Yet, it was the service that truly wowed. Like culinary fairy godparents, they anticipated my every need with flair.Bisutoro isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary experience where allergies vanish, sake reigns supreme, and flavors dance on your palate. I would definitely come back and even make a reservation for the sushi bar seating for another type of experience."
"We showed up for our reservation early (by about 40 minutes), but there was plenty of room in the bar area to grab a cocktail while we waited. After a short wait- we were walked over to the teppanyaki table. There were three of us, and two separate couples who had already been seated. Our first thought was: "Are they really going to try to fill ALL these seats??"There were about 9 chairs lined up around the table with zero room in between. All the chairs were crammed up against one another- ZERO arm room or space.Thankfully, they decided not to seat anyone else at our table (or no one else was available to seat) and we 86'd the remaining two chairs. Whew. Our server, Seth, was awesome...and fast AF. One minute he's standing next to you taking your drink order- then you blink- AND BAM, he's back with your water. Seth is either an Olympian...or the butler from Mr. Deeds.Anyways, needless to say, Seth definitely was on top of his game.We had the pleasure of getting Chef Jose for our table. I have to emphasize PLEASURE; because he was honestly the best teppanyaki chef I've ever had. No joke.Great energy, super clever, hilarious, and he did the BEST show for all of us! There were a few times he legit had me dying laughing. Such a great time!Aside from Seth providing excellent service (in record time!), Chef Jose would be the reason I would come back to Kasai. The food was delicious and flavorful. Our squad all went with the same selection: New York Strip Steak (double- no shame) and scallops. So good!Like I said, I'll be back again. And shout-outs to Chef Jose and the 100-meter Olympian gold medalist, Seth! You guys were the real MVPs.*Note: I tried to also take a photo of Seth, but he was just too fast. All the photos just showed a blur.*"
"We've been to Real Thai & Sushi twice since it opened. The first time, we ordered papaya salad, I ordered my favorite Pad Se Ew, and my husband ordered Chicken Gra Pow. We are both familiar with Thai spice thanks to my mom, but ordered level 2 (out of 5 according to the waitress) to be safe. We are so glad we did because, although the flavors and freshness of the dishes were great, it became uncomfortable to continue eating because both dishes were way too spicy. The atmosphere hadn't changed from the previous restaurant and the service was nice but a bit new at things, which is to be expected. The second time we went, he ordered the same dish (his favorite) and I ordered Pad Thai. We also had moo ping as an appetizer. His spice level was 1 and mine was 0. I asked for a side of dried Thai pepper so I could manage the spice level on my own but it never appeared. I ended up using the dipping sauce that accompanied the Moo Ping and it tasted delicious. His level 1 was still spicy but he really enjoyed it. To be clear, we eat and cook Thai food often so we are quite familiar with Thai spice levels and are not amateurs. I will continue to visit this restaurant, as all the dishes were quite good. I will just be mindful of the spice levels every time I visit."
"Ambiance is top tier, Great playlist , quick seating, friendly and knowledgeable staff.Clean, ample parking , great selection of rolls and sides."
"Yummy food. I got the chicken yakisoba. So good. Also got gyzoa. The food is cooked fresh."
"We needed great sushi in the area! The two sushi chefs have many years of experience and have come up with a great menu. The Sad Boy, The Pepino Roll, and The Xami roll(you get a fire show), are my favorites! They have a burger on the menu that comes with veggie tempura for those in your group who may not want sushi that day. My 20yr old got it and devoured it. He said it was amazing."
"Some of the best sushi I have had in a while. I can taste that the fish is fresh and the pieces are so big! I have never seen such gigantic pieces. The tuna didn't taste fishy at all. Sometimes at other places the tuna tastes a little strange to me. The salmon was delicious and I loved the chunks of meat they put on top. I thought the presentation was also quite spectacular. I would definitely go back. The parking is easy and there is a huge lot. I like that the parking lot is quite quiet. There aren't lots of cars speeding around and there are lots of open spaces. The only downside is that it is a little pricey as the meat is so fresh and big. If they didn't have such quality I would say that there are less expensive options including sushi ayce that's made to order as well. Otherwise the freshness and large pieces can't be beat."
"Accidentally stopped by because I wanted Asian food and the other place I was planned to go was closed unexpectedly. It seems like they were busy with online lunch orders which is great for them. Even though they got many orders, they were quick to help me.The bowl is huge and they offer so many different kinds of toppings. I love the seaweed. I could not remember the name but I could not find it at any other poke places. Fish and rice are ok."
"This visit I decided to try the lunch steak and salmon teriyaki. Salmon was delicious! I feel the portion was slightly smaller than the last time I had the lunch salmon but I also had the steak so I wasn't too upset. But the steak was a little too well done for my taste, also really thin. I wouldn't pay for steak in the future and will just stick to the teriyaki salmon. Service was friendly and I will definitely visit again."
"Shout out Yelp for helping my family and I discover this amazing sushi spot in Scottsdale! We had a reservation for 5 people on a Saturday night and were seated right away. Hashi is a pretty simple restaurant, but it's very clean and quaint, and our server was extremely attentive. We started with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, garlic edamame, and seaweed salad. The garlic edamame was a game changer!! I loved the garlicky, soy sauce coating, and a nice change up from the standard lightly salted style I'm used to. I love seaweed salad, and the one here is held up to others I've had in the past. Refreshing with a nice crunch! We ordered so many rolls and we were all truly impressed from start to finish. I can't remember the names of all of them (my dad did the ordering) but some favorites include the Mr. Perfect, OMG, and tuna nigiri. All of the seafood tasted extremely fresh and the unique flavor combinations were perfect. Cannot recommend Hashi enough, I will absolutely be back next time I'm in Scottsdale!"
"We love this place!! The staff was so kind to our toddlers and gave them warm smiles, chopstick trainers, and kids cups. The sushi is delish and can beat the happy hour prices! We got the STST and STC rolls. Both delicious but I'd choose the STC as my fave! We also got a spicy tuna roll which was perfectly spicy. Ask for fresh wasabi- amazing! For appetizers, the gyoza has a fav, and of course a salad and miso soup that comes with your entree. My kids loved their teriyaki chicken meal. My two toddlers split the adult entree and it was perfect! They also have great lunch specials. You definitely need to try this place!!"
"We had to walk through a strange gusty sandstorm to get here from our Airbnb. I literally had sand in my hair, eyes and mouth. That's Tucson for ya. Craving some Japanese food, I'm glad we found this place. We were greeted by a lovely hostess that was also our waitress. She was extremely attentive and came by often. We wanted a super light dinner so my son ordered an assortment of sushi. I wanted an eel and cucumber roll that was not on the menu. I appreciate that the sushi chef was able to make it for me upon request. I was surprised that it came rolled in brown rice. It was actually delicious. We all enjoyed the steamed edamame as well. Great spot in downtown Tucson. Ambience offers that sexy chic vibe."
"Would you consider the ocean a soup? Hear me out! It has water (the base), salt (flavor), veggies, and fish (protein). Now that we got that nonsense out of the way, get your syllabus ready for Sushi 101 Bar and Grill update. I first came to Sushi 101 as a wide-eyed freshmen at ASU and have been back plenty of times since. This is pretty much a staple place for all ASU students to go but now Sushi 101 has relocated from being right next to the ASU campus to a mile or so away. Did the relocation hinder their business? I'll let you decide.Get the ASU Roll, The Monsoon Roll, and even a Philly Roll if you love salmon with cream cheese. Get whatever you want but just get yourself down here. If you're a Sun Devil, you have to pay homage to this spot. Will it be the best sushi of your life? No. But you have to come here. Period."
"Was hesitant to try this out, but my other half insisted on it. He ordered a fried sushi with chicken, steak and shrimp in it and I had the teriyaki chicken dish. Mine was really tasty, but a little on the sweet side. The restaurant itself was nice. A little hole in the wall Hispanic place. They had the hobbit movie playing on the television, so that was fun to watch while we ate. We were greeted in Spanish when we walked in, but since I don't speak it, the waitress was happy to speak English for us.All in all, great little find. Next time I'll be a bit more adventurous and try some Mexican sushi."
"Q: Why did the sushi go to the beach? A: Because it wanted to become a California roll!CEO Jeremy Stoppelman beat me to the 1,400th review. I think it's a sign to write something already, and what better way to commemorate a milestone review than with sushi?I remember visiting their first location by the Cardinals Arena, and I wasn't impressed. I've had takeout from the Avondale location, and it was okay. But this Tempe location? I gotta say, I'm impressed. The JoJo Roll and Corden Bleu Roll were the winners (especially the sauce that comes with the Jojo Roll). The El Tataki Roll wasn't bad either. I also had some of my friend's yakimeshi fried rice and gueritos appetizers. Both were also very good. It's gorgeous inside. You wouldn't be able to tell that this place used to be a Sweet Tomatoes. Keep in mind that you're not getting an authentic Japanese experience. El Tataki is very much in the business of Mexican-Japanese fusion, and it's great! Itadakmasu!"
