That brought a smile to my face. :-) All day every day is happy hour! Many rolls to choose from. Although the facility is small, that can accommodate groups. There's lots of parking available. Accessible parking and entrance."

Seemed fresh and tasted good. Didn't have anything we really didn't like.Our service was fantastic which was great considering the reviews saying service was terrible. Our waitress was in training since it was actually her first night, but she was so friendly! Maybe they're focusing more on hiring good servers! Clean inside and has a hip/underground Tokyo vibe to it! Only downside is there is a little bit of a smell in the bathroom, which I saw noted in another review. It wasn't terrible so maybe they're trying to figure it out.Will be returning again and probably again and again!"

I was craving a crunchy California roll (cause I'm basic) and it actually is really hard to find! I found a crunchy Cali roll on Saketini's menu and bf ordered a Hungry roll (Avo, cream cheese, tuna). We split beef yakisoba. Our to go order was ready within 10-15 minutes!The crunchy Cali roll was okay. It wasn't as "crunchy" as I'd have preferred. The hungry roll was decent as well. They didn't seem particularly fresh. The beef yakisoba was the best item of the three, and had decent wok hay flavor. Overall Saketini was okay. Daruma is located in the same parking lot and is significantly better!"

"My friend and I have been here 3 times now for lunch at the sushi bar and absolutely love this place. Sushi chef Alan has taken excellent care of us since the day we met. My friend and I are pretty pure sushi eaters, getting pretty much the same things every time, but I will say the menu makes me want to deviate, so I've been trying new menu items. I personally am a Ramen and noodle soup lover, so I will have to try their soups on the menu in the future.But in the mean time, the Yellowtail, Tuna, Salmon, Sweet Shrimp, Masago, Uni and Eel Nigiri have all been excellent. The grilled Hamachi Kama also excellent. This 3rd. time here I had the Salmon Uni Ikura Don Bowl... loved it. Everything has been very fresh and tasting wonderful. Great neighborhood addition to an area that is changing and growing fast.Atmosphere: big, full bar area, big sushi bar and big dining tables area. Food: excellent. Service: excellent."

"Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but the food was not good at all. Service was very friendly and attentive.Came here for lunch one day. The restaurant was not busy at all so I was able to get a table right away. There was two other patrons. Food came out fairly fast which was very nice. The seafood salad was super duper sugary and tasted like the package ones you get from the Asian grocery store. I had two bites and left it. The tofu soup was even worse, it was basically packaged miso soup add it with water, and there were pieces of tofu in the soup. This is definitely not the Korean tofu soup that it claims to be. Prices are reasonable, but I definitely would not return for the food."

"We were shopping nearby and decided to order food to-go from Maguro one chilly evening. I called ahead and placed an order for sushi, a veggie ramen, and a tonkotsu ramen. Arrived within 15 minutes.The place was busy, it looked packed. The staff was friendly and helpful. My order was waiting for me when I arrived. I was in and out in minutes. Though the food smelled really good, we exercised some patience and waited until we got home to open it.I was impressed by their ramen packaging. It came in a big bowl with two compartments: one for the broth and one for the veggies and protein. The broth was still warm even after a 20-minute drive. We immediately devoured its contents. My veggie ramen was tasty and satisfying. The portion was pretty generous, too. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. We were both very pleased with our choices!"

"Went Friday night for some sushi. We haven't been to Masa in a year we were in the neighborhood and decided to go. We did change it up we usually got sushi rolls, but this time we tried a combo meal. It was perfect! My wife can't eat a lot of rice and that makes her question whenever I want sushi. She's afraid it will be too much rice. These two items have rice but at a much better ratio. So it was a perfect dinner. The service is very good with the exception of the periodic dish being placed into the bus cart. Good is always great and we were glad to see that it's staying great! A wonderful family spot or individual."

"Sushi with son dinner and we decided to try this place which is new to us. If you're looking for a fancy decorative restaurant this isn't it. But if you are looking for pleasant staff and solid rolls this is definitely the spot. It is a small neighborhood type place. It can get busy which can lead to a wait but we lucked out. We ordered gyoza, spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, spider roll and the volcano roll. All were delicious! Staff was friendly without over doing it and EFFICIENT, but not in the rush you off way. Attentive to topping off drinks, clearing empty serving plates, checking in, etc. I'd definitely pop back in for the rolls and other menu items!"

"Was this a late lunch or an early dinner? I can't really say but I do know that this was an amazing meal. I ordered the Grilled Salmon Fillet with a cherry Coke. My server, Carmen, was so good! She made me a cherry Coke with some grenadine from the bar and recommended getting the salmon blackened. This salmon was cooked medium and was so moist and flavorful. The sautéed and fresh vegetables and half a sliced fresh avocado made the perfect combination. The rice was just enough, instead of covering the plate. We tried @squidinksushi to-go one week night and were very impressed with the sushi and the plates. I returned to see if the salmon was just as good the second time and it was! I have a favorite now but there are so many other good things I want to try on the menu, which isn't too overwhelming with choices. There are some well curated specials and classics. There's sushi bar, bar, high table, booth, and outdoor patio seating. I'm glad this place is close by."

"We were in the area and wanted some quick sushi. We love Sushi on Tatum (Sushi Station) by Desert Ridge and decided to try it out. We were seated and provided waters. The server assumed we would just grab from the belt (which we were) but I wanted a side of eel sauce and we never saw her to flag her down until the check. The rolls were okay but there wasn't many on rotation. It looked like there were more drinks,candies and desserts. The edamame was hot and good and the rolls we had were okay but wish there were more options. I think we will stick to Sushi on Tatum but would probably stop in again if we were in the area."

"I almost drove by this place because in the back of another store that faces the street. Just know it's in the back I included some photos. As I understand it used to be a food truck and since moved in to this fixed building. They are also in the works of extending their dining area and include bathrooms. No bathrooms available now but they were going to let me use the one in back if necessary. The menu had no prices and the gentleman explained all items were $15.00 except I believe 2 or 3 items. Customer service was good. I tried the cielo mar y tierra roll and opted for the baked after it's fried. They add sauce and crab salad on top of roll then bake for the creation you see in photos. It was delicious. My partner did same option but just stick to beef. Very good and filling. I'd like to come back and try some other items on the menu. Just be patient if you order the baked because it does take a little extra time or just order ahead. Can't wait to go back."

It was already salty so didn't really need the accompanying dipping sauce. The sashimi salad had a pleasant dressing on it so we really didn't need soy sauce/wasabi for it. For the price we paid, it came with good amount of sashimi, however, not premium fish/cuts we hoped for.Overall decent place. After a short wait- we were walked over to the teppanyaki table. There were three of us, and two separate couples who had already been seated. Our first thought was: "Are they really going to try to fill ALL these seats??"There were about 9 chairs lined up around the table with zero room in between. All the chairs were crammed up against one another- ZERO arm room or space.Thankfully, they decided not to seat anyone else at our table (or no one else was available to seat) and we 86'd the remaining two chairs. Whew.Our server, Seth, was awesome...and fast AF. One minute he's standing next to you taking your drink order- then you blink- AND BAM, he's back with your water. Seth is either an Olympian...or the butler from Mr. Deeds.Anyways, needless to say, Seth definitely was on top of his game.We had the pleasure of getting Chef Jose for our table. I have to emphasize PLEASURE; because he was honestly the best teppanyaki chef I've ever had. No joke.Great energy, super clever, hilarious, and he did the BEST show for all of us! There were a few times he legit had me dying laughing. Such a great time!Aside from Seth providing excellent service (in record time!), Chef Jose would be the reason I would come back to Kasai.The food was delicious and flavorful. "We've been to Real Thai & Sushi twice since it opened. The first time, we ordered papaya salad, I ordered my favorite Pad Se Ew, and my husband ordered Chicken Gra Pow. We are both familiar with Thai spice thanks to my mom, but ordered level 2 (out of 5 according to the waitress) to be safe. We are so glad we did because, although the flavors and freshness of the dishes were great, it became uncomfortable to continue eating because both dishes were way too spicy. The atmosphere hadn't changed from the previous restaurant and the service was nice but a bit new at things, which is to be expected. The second time we went, he ordered the same dish (his favorite) and I ordered Pad Thai. We also had moo ping as an appetizer. His spice level was 1 and mine was 0. I asked for a side of dried Thai pepper so I could manage the spice level on my own but it never appeared. I ended up using the dipping sauce that accompanied the Moo Ping and it tasted delicious. His level 1 was still spicy but he really enjoyed it. To be clear, we eat and cook Thai food often so we are quite familiar with Thai spice levels and are not amateurs. I will continue to visit this restaurant, as all the dishes were quite good. I will just be mindful of the spice levels every time I visit."

Sometimes at other places the tuna tastes a little strange to me. The salmon was delicious and I loved the chunks of meat they put on top. I thought the presentation was also quite spectacular. I would definitely go back. The parking is easy and there is a huge lot. I like that the parking lot is quite quiet. There aren't lots of cars speeding around and there are lots of open spaces. The only downside is that it is a little pricey as the meat is so fresh and big. If they didn't have such quality I would say that there are less expensive options including sushi ayce that's made to order as well. Otherwise the freshness and large pieces can't be beat."

"Shout out Yelp for helping my family and I discover this amazing sushi spot in Scottsdale! We had a reservation for 5 people on a Saturday night and were seated right away. Hashi is a pretty simple restaurant, but it's very clean and quaint, and our server was extremely attentive.We started with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, garlic edamame, and seaweed salad. The garlic edamame was a game changer!! I loved the garlicky, soy sauce coating, and a nice change up from the standard lightly salted style I'm used to. I love seaweed salad, and the one here is held up to others I've had in the past. Refreshing with a nice crunch!We ordered so many rolls and we were all truly impressed from start to finish. I can't remember the names of all of them (my dad did the ordering) but some favorites include the Mr. Perfect, OMG, and tuna nigiri. All of the seafood tasted extremely fresh and the unique flavor combinations were perfect. Cannot recommend Hashi enough, I will absolutely be back next time I'm in Scottsdale!"

For appetizers, the gyoza has a fav, and of course a salad and miso soup that comes with your entree. My kids loved their teriyaki chicken meal. I first came to Sushi 101 as a wide-eyed freshmen at ASU and have been back plenty of times since. This is pretty much a staple place for all ASU students to go but now Sushi 101 has relocated from being right next to the ASU campus to a mile or so away. Did the relocation hinder their business? I'll let you decide.Get the ASU Roll, The Monsoon Roll, and even a Philly Roll if you love salmon with cream cheese. Get whatever you want but just get yourself down here. If you're a Sun Devil, you have to pay homage to this spot. Will it be the best sushi of your life? No. But you have to come here. Period."

They had the hobbit movie playing on the television, so that was fun to watch while we ate. We were greeted in Spanish when we walked in, but since I don't speak it, the waitress was happy to speak English for us.All in all, great little find. Next time I'll be a bit more adventurous and try some Mexican sushi."

I think it's a sign to write something already, and what better way to commemorate a milestone review than with sushi?I remember visiting their first location by the Cardinals Arena, and I wasn't impressed. I've had takeout from the Avondale location, and it was okay. But this Tempe location? I gotta say, I'm impressed. The JoJo Roll and Corden Bleu Roll were the winners (especially the sauce that comes with the Jojo Roll). The El Tataki Roll wasn't bad either. I also had some of my friend's yakimeshi fried rice and gueritos appetizers. Both were also very good.It's gorgeous inside. You wouldn't be able to tell that this place used to be a Sweet Tomatoes. Keep in mind that you're not getting an authentic Japanese experience. El Tataki is very much in the business of Mexican-Japanese fusion, and it's great! Itadakmasu!"
