"Small hole in the wall that's a gem. Like having your grandma in the kitchen cooking. The food was so delicious, full of flavor and amazing. I'm so glad we came here.We ordered so much to try. Nothing disappointed. Service was friendly and they even have self serve complimentary real Chai tea (hhmmmmm) so yummy."
"FYI that in the weekend they don't have lunch specials. I had goat dum biriyani for it was delicious, but unfortunately the goat was still chewy. This restaurant is a small business family owned which is great. I love that the family were working together in this restaurant either taking orders, preparing the food and clean the tables. I heard kids giggling in the background, it's remind me of the old days.Thank you for your delicious meal and happy new year!"

"This Indian restaurant is still a 5 star for me. Here's an updated review since it has been a few years! Did an early Valentine's Day lunch buffet and as always the food was delicious. A few items had a bit of a kick.A buffet is a great choice to try several dishes that might be new to you! There was a fried cabbage dish that I had not tried before. Chicken seemed to be the main meat offering in many of the dishes, so if you want something not chicken related, the main menu might be a better choice.Service at noon was quick and our dirty dishes were whisked away quickly. I enjoy the interior, as there is always lots of tables."
"If your looking for some flavorful food in this area, give this place a try. We had dinner here and it was fairly busy for a weeknight. There were a few ppl eating on the patio and a few tables inside were taken. We walked up to the counter and it was a bit awkward as the cashier didn't greet us nor acknowledge us. After a few minutes, she saw us looking at the menu overhead and pointed at the menu on the counter. We looked it over and ordered three entrees:One grilled chicken tikka masala kabobsOne butter chicken One shrimp tikka masalaOne garlic naan and one regular naanTwo drinksTwo dessertsThe food was brought out to us by a different girl, not the cashier. She gave us each our entrée and then just tossed the utensils onto the table and walked away...We began to eat and the food was good. I enjoyed my chicken tikka masala kabobs as they were hot and had a pretty good flavor. The garlic naan was great. The portions were ehhhh though as I felt like I was served more salad then chicken / rice. Wish I had gotten more rice and or protein. The desserts were unique. We tried their mango Lassi smoothie and it was good, but lukewarm. We also tried Gulab Jamun - milk-based pastry balls with honey-flavored syrup and they were ok.The inside is cute and clean. If in the area again I would consider maybe stopping by..."
"This review is based on my Uber Eats orders. I have now ordered twice, and both times were consistently great! The food is packaged very nicely, as to avoid spills. You could even re-use the containers if you wanted to. Now let's get to the food. I ordered the Paneer Tikka Massala, with some garlic Naan for dippin. The Tikka Massala was sooooo creamy and delicious! The naan was buttery and flavorful. I very much look forward to going in person and trying out the buffet they offer."
"I ordered this as take out and wow! This was delicious Indian food with some amazing flavor. I ordered the yellow curry with a medium spice and kan it packs a kick. The rice was amazing and the mango drink was delicious. I'll be adding this place to try in person."
"I ordered from DoorDash having seen it's a highly recommended spot - so glad I did. I ordered the vegetable samosas and the aloo matar and both were so good! I loved the sauces, the flavors, the heat...will for sure be adding this to my list of Indian spots!"
"Delicious food, good service, clean table. Good quantity for the price. We had the Tandori chicken, Lamb Masala and the Lamb Vindoloo. Along with the garlic naan and onion naan.Absolutely delicious- nothing let us down."
"Wow!! This spot is a gem!! We happen to be in the area and dropped in for dinner. Casual ambiance, with good prices. There was a wait but we sat at the bar because it was available. Renee was awesome friendly, professional and really knew the food. The food was so good we ordered chicken tikki it came with rice and we plain and it was so delicious I will be making a point to stop in when I am in the area."
"Tikka Nation must not know about the under the radar Tikka Shack at the ghost kitchen at Kitchen United. Tikka to go is always a treat. I ordered the Tikka Masala, with paneer (vegan) as my protein. So good. Tikka Shack is truly a hidden gem."
"I was in the area and I love Indian food, so I decided to give this place a shot.I ordered my usual which is chicken tandoori, some garlic naan and one samosa. The chicken tandoori was probably the best I have ever had. The flavor was amazing!!!The garlic naan was delicious. It tasted like it was cooked on an open fire. The samosa was also good.I just wished they had Coke Zero. The server got me the menu and took my order right away and let me know the status of my order frequently. The place is very simple inside and has some big numbers painted on the wall which I didn't understand it's meaning or purpose.I will definitely comeback when I am on the west side again."
"Amazing Indian food!! Recommended by a friend for their authentic and delicious mix pf Northern and Southern Indian cuisine. The owner was super friendly and funny, she was happy to give her personal recommendations.Pretty chill/casual family friendly restaurant. Not fancy but such a gem. We enjoyed their spring dosa, tandoori chicken, garlic naan, butter chicken, and one more item I don't remember the name of...but these fried circular snacks where you put sauce in the center lol. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Tandoori chicken was tender and well spiced. The spring dosa had a nice cabbage filling inside.A little slow to give us water but they were so kind and chill about us bringing in some extra drinks and desserts to eat there. Definitely would return!"

Wow! The food was amazing, some of the best Indian food I've ever had! The samosas were amazing, definitely add the choley, SO much flavor. I could have those for as lunch on there own.The naan was absolutely the best I've had, pulled apart so nicely. Wasn't like warmed pita that most is as they make it in the back the right way!I wanted something new and he pointed me to vindaloo with lamb. It came out too spicy for me (6 out of 10) and even though I knew that was the level he could tell and made a new one at a 3! Great food and service. It's mostly a to go place but still had a few tables for people to eat. I thought the servings were a little on the small side, especially the rice but with the samosas I left stuffed with leftovers.

We had delivery from this restaurant the other night and it was a mixed bag. The pakoras were strange and I got a bite of something so spicy that my mouth and lips burned for hours after. The naan was soft and fresh but bland and quite expensive (maybe because of a delivery premium?). The paneer tikka masala was tasty.

Top notch. This place is small but has great customer service and amazing food. To be honest the food is so good I kept eating even though I was full. Didn't get pics of my food but I took a few of the little ones and the food they got. Anyhow awesome food, great service and I would totally recommend this spot for everyone that likes Indian food to check it out. I will 100% keep coming back to Tikka Shack. Thank you for making my experience a great one.

This was the 3rd time I have eaten here. It's been great every time! They had a nice little buffet at lunchtime. I wanted leftovers so I ordered from the menu. Butter chicken and curry chicken a couple of my favorites. The service was great. Staff was amazing. A nice restaurant overall.

This is my favorite place for Indian food in the whole valley which is a bummer because I live 50 miles away. But any time I am near by I go here. They also have been our catering for large work groups and everyone loves it.

If you have lived in the area for a while, you know this location has been several different Indian restaurants. We got take-out and all 4 of us agreed it is the best one yet! We got Butter Chicken, Veg Korma, Palak Paneer and Lamb Vindaloo, and they were all very good. So was the garlic naan. Well seasoned and perfect spice. The takeout packaging was great - well sealed in plastic container (not styrofoam) and transported well. My only complaint was the amount of rice provided for 4 dishes. We ordered an extra side of rice, and we still did not have enough. Can't speak to the ambiance and service, but looking forward to trying those out in the future!

It's been over a year since I've had Biryani Pot and unfortunately tonight just wasn't it for them. Had the navarathan kurma again, which was tasty but definitely not as good as the first time. The flavor profile just wasn't the same, it was lacking. We tried the ginger chicken curry, medium, and it was pretty spicy. The flavor was powerful, just wish it wasn't as spicy. It took away from the delicious flavors in the dish. The veggie samosas were bleh, disappointing and lacked flavor. The sauces that it came with were so watery and lackluster that we didn't even use them. The garlic naan was okay, nothing special, but not bad. Honestly wouldn't come back after tonight, wasn't worth the money.

"We love The Dhaba, so much so that we drive from Surprise. The food is outstanding.I also want to say the family who owns it is also wonderful. They work so hard to run the restaurant, the children work full time and go to college. We have NEVER had anyone be disrespectful in anyway. The restaurant is quiet and clean. They even have a larger dinning area for lager groups. We will continue to drive across the valley to eat here and support a hardworking family."
"Best place for garlic naan and goat curry. The naan is soft and crunchy with good herb flavor. Biryani is just good, though I prefer it to have a stronger flavor."
"We ordered take out from here and the food did not disappoint. I called in my order and it was quick and easy. The restaurant is located in an unassuming plaza with a few other restaurants across from St Joseph's hospital. The butter chicken and aloo gobi were both delicious with so much flavor. The garlic naan was my favorite. Possibly my new local favorite Indian food restaurant."
"This is their second location after Glendale.I have tried a lot of items from the menu some of my favorites are~ chicken masakali~ chicken biryani~ mutton biryani~ tandoori chicken~ masala dosa~ dahi chaat~ palak paneerThe food is really good it's legit and authentic.Wait times are a little long during weekends.Definitely try the family pack biryani it's good value for money and comes with an appetizer.Cheers!"
"While living in Prescott for a year Taj Mahal became one of my go to places as I love Indian food & they were so good. When I moved to Chandler & realized they had a Scottsdale location 20 minutes away I was all over it.Vegetable samosas - crispy filled pastry filled with potatoes, peas, and spices. 2 pieces. Served with chutney.Vegetable curry - mixed vegetables in a spiced sauce. Ofcourse I made it extra hot.Peas Pulao - basmati rice sautéed with turmeric, onions, peas, almonds, & raisins.Garlic roti - whole wheat Indian bread. The only bad thing I can say is the parking is horrible as this is a busy area with lots of restaurants & not enough parking.I've been to Taj Mahal (both locations) many times & every thing is always great. This is by far my favorite restaurant in AZ."
"This place is pretty good! Similar flavors to the previous Indian restaurant that was here. Went on opening day and was quoted 30 mins for a to-go order...order came out as quoted. Food was flavorful and the butter chicken was not overly spicy...I prefer extra spicy, so I wish they would ask how spicy you like it. The food had good quality as well and tasted fresh. It looks like they still have the buffet tables (pushed to the back and out of the way), so no buffet was setup when I was there :-(I don't know if the "Grand Opening" menu I ordered from on opening day is going to be their permanent menu (it looked pretty official as the menu was in color and well laminated). That said, everything is al-a-carte. I was fortunate enough to eat here on opening day and my meal was half off, but would have otherwise cost me $23.18 for an order of butter chicken, butter naan, and white rice...a lil pricey for my liking. Will I still eat here? Absolutely! I will just eat here less often and save it for special occasions!"
"I keep going back for the incredible food! I normally avoid buffets like the plague, but I set my phobias aside for my love of this place. If you are not a fan of a buffet, you can skip lunch time and try the dinner menu. I do wish the food had more heat to it, but the owner kindly explained to me that the vast majority of the people in America cannot handle Indian spice levels, so they tone it down for their typical Arizona guest. Don't get me wrong, the flavor and quality are still top notch. Some of my favorites so far are the goat vindaloo (not spicy at all), samosas with chutnies, saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, and the chicken curry. Service is always impeccable and attentive."
"Used a night in by myself as an opportunity to order a ridiculous amount of Indian food to enjoy! I have been really impressed with the Indian food in north Phoenix and sweet magic is part of that! I ordered delivery through door dash, they accept the order right away and the restaurant had my food ready quick. I typically get some sort of dal dish because I love lentils, but yesterday I got the malai kofta. I also got a masala dosa, which is one of my faves. I got spring rolls too! Spring rolls were crispy on the outside, kinda soft and a little doughy on the inside but good! The malai kofta was creamy and flavorful without being too spicy. The masala dosa was my favorite of everything I got! Would definitely order from here again."
"I have been a regular at the other location on Baseline and were very happy to know that they have opened up closer to us.Chutney's express specializes in indian Chinese which I love and they have nailed the tasteWe got the Hakka noodles, veg fried rice, chili paneer, garlic cauliflower and the malai aloo tiki. The food was medium spicy 6/10 exactly as I had specified, the flavors were on point.Prices are student friendlyThey also have some lunch combos which I want to try and the non vegetarian options (since all the food I ordered today was vegetarian).Definitely check them out if you haven't.Cheers!"
"If you have to choose a single Indian restaurant for good food and quality service then this is the place. Overall I would recommend this place. Here are my takes:Food/Drinks: Plenty of options on menu and they do specials as well often. This place is a gem of the Indian restaurants in the valley. Everything tastes good overall. when you try 100 things then there may be a few that you will feel is better at other places and the same I felt but overall excellent quality here. Service: Quick order and food gets served fast at your table with no long wait. We ordered one of their special fish of the day and ended up leaving it on the plate since we did not like the taste. When staff saw that we did not like they removed the dish from the final bill by themselves. Shows how appreciative they are for your presence and how hard they try to keep things better. Ambiance: Nice interiors, plenty of seating, and an overall well-decorated restaurant.Hygiene: Everything was clean and tidy overall in the restaurant except the restrooms. Price: I wouldn't say nominal price but not overpriced for sure. Worth going for a good Indian food dine-in experience. If this place was near my home then I wouldn't mind being regular here."
"Great little gem hidden in Guadalupe. Food is consistently great, highly recommended. We have been here a few times and it is always packed, be patient the food is worth the wait."
"An extra star for the prices here.We love visiting here whenever we are in that area. In fast we almost go every time we visit that side of the town. The reason being they have some really good fast and is vert reasonable too, Few seating tables and even the store but we usually get the seat to sit and eat. I would highly recommend this place for the taste. Don't expect ambiance though."
"Last restaurant I tried in 2022, and I ended the year on a great culinary note! I don't eat Indian food super frequently, but I do really like it. I ordered on Grubhub and had my husband pick it up for me. He did have to wait a bit past the expected time, but not for a long time. I got spinach dal and 3 piece idly. I had never tried idly before but thought it was really good! I love any kind of lentil dish, and the spinach dal was amazing. Very spicy for me so I had to take breaks while eating it haha but it was so delicious. Really glad I got to try this place and their pricing is definitely affordable for the amount of food they give you! Would love to try something new next time!"
"Great lunchI'm so glad I stumbled across Khyber Halal. This place is a local small Afghan restaurant with a good selection of dishes, and the portions are very generous. This was my first sampling of Afghan cuscine and everything was really very good.On this visit we shared the Chicken Kabob, Chicken Biryani, Uzbek Pulao and garlic naan. Everything was fresh, made to order, and so flavorful. The naan was fresh, warm, slightly crispy and made perfectly. The meat dishes had great flavor, the meat was moist/tender, and the plating was beautiful and the serving sizes is more than enough for two people. The staff felt like family. They were so friendly and kept checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. A must visit place for delicious food"
"Pretty solid Indian restaurant! The smell of all the spices hits you as soon as you enter, which is when you know it's real. It's a small and quiet place, but they do play indian music in the background, which I appreciated. There was one waiter for all the tables, and he looked miserable, but he got it done. We got paneer kati rolls for appetizers (not photographed), and for our meals, I got chicken Tikka masala, husband got lamb roganjosh, and we shared garlic naan and nut and raisin naan. I loved our entrees. They were a big portion, came with rice, and were extra buttery and rich. Only downside was the naan. They had no garlic/nut raisin flavor at all. They just tasted like regular naan."
"I wish I could give this place a 6/5 stars.I went for the buffet today & I tried everything they had on their buffet offerings. The Jeera Aloo (cumin potatoes), chicken tikka, butter chicken, Daal fry, goat curry, goat paaya (trotters), nihari, Halwa, poori, phirni, Naan, everything is on-point and taste so yummy. The basmati rice is cooked so well, as soon as I opened the lid of the cooker, it smelled so fragrant and tasted just like home. Unlike many restaurants that serve different meats in the same curry, this place has a blend of spices that reminds me of food back home in India (similar to Pakistani food). This continues to remain my favorite South East Asian food restaurant in the area. Even after filling up on all the food, I don't feel overstuffed or lazy, it's really something I would recommend to anyone looking for authentic flavors, in a heartbeat."
"The Udupi Weeknd lunch buffet is a vegan Indian food dream come true. They have a wonderful spread of about 20ish items and all but three or four of them are vegan. Chickpea, lentil soup, breads, rice, Gobi Manchurian (spicy fried cauliflower), baby corn, breads and sweets. I have been in there or four times for the weekend buffet in the past year and I will certainly will be back again!"
"I'm always excited when a new small business restaurant opens up, especially when they have a unique bakery/pastry section! Cake slices are $3.99, and are like the Indian version of the Asian/85 degC cake slices. The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back to try some savory items!"
"This is one of the best South Indian buffet in the area. The staff is super nice, kind and welcoming. Food is freshly prepared and everything tasted amazing, very close to the authentic flavors you will find in India. The masala chai and filter coffee are also terrific. The inside is not fancy, but very clean and functional. I would recommend to start with buffet if you are new to trying South Indian food, so you can get a feel for many things. When you get the buffet, please ask your server for the Masala dosa / dosa, since, it is prepared fresh, made to order. I will definitely be coming back and will spread the word!"
"Great experience, good food, and no complaints. Easy to find. Big tables for large group's. The whole family enjoyed. We will for sure come back!"
"I just had the most excellent lunch there. The chicken korma was delicious and full of flavor and was just the right amount of spice. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and the dining room was very clean. The outside is very non descript but don't let that fool you. The prices are extremely reasonable!"
"Every time I've been to Tumeric grocery store this food truck has been parked there but closed. Today I went around night time and to my surprise it was actually open with people actually getting food! SUPER excited to try it out as I crave Indian street food. I decided to get an appetizer the Chaat Paapdi which was about $8. Price was ok given todays inflated economy but there were TWO major issues. The portion of this tiny little thang was way too small. But the bigger problem was that there were NO SAUCES!! I get it, there's variations to this dish but literally no yogurt, no green chutney, no tamarind sauce!? How in the world are we supposed to eat dry hard crackers with chickpeas placed on top?! Luckily for me I had some tamarind sauce at home that I was able to put on top to save the dish. But imagine if I didn't?! Service was good. Nice lady. Quick to make it. Said it would take 15-20 mins but felt more like 7mins. Will I be back? Yes to give it another chance. But definitely not leaving till I get my sauces"
"We ordered Bhel puri, 2 platters one with malai kofta and other with panner, Gobi Manchurian, panner paratha and veg biriyani. Everything was so good and we were in love with the simplicity and the quality which did not compromise the taste of the food. Happy to have found a good vegetarian restaurant. Recommend hard core vegetarians to check out this place and you won't regret. Note to the Business: We saw in our receipt a 20% gratuity and a 3% administrative fees( which we have never seen anywhere else and donno what's that's for ) however for the service tax and the administrative fees paid it would have been nice, to have the meal in a proper plate instead of a paper plate. Because when we come in a group and order 7 different items we tend to share and taste all the foods."
