"YOU CANT FILM HERE??? Let me talk to the owner! The only reason they get a three is the food and drinks. Also the chef was great too!As a new customer who traveled over 40 min to get here , a staff member made me feel VERY uncomfortable. I am a content creator who goes to local businesses all around the valley, to help promote their products, brand and/or experience . I have over 350,000 followers across my platforms and am a genuine page people go to for reviews. I am appalled to have been approached by An older gentleman employee telling me If I am going to film I need to get permission from people around me.First. He didn't even ask me what I was doing? If the owner asked me to come in and film, you would have now lost my business in that regard. It is all about the approach and there was no "hi how are you"There were a lot of stares and assumptions. You know what they say about making assumptions??He proceeded to say i can film the pastries but if im going to film inside i need to get people's persimmons..lol this is a public space. No i don't ANYWAY. My camera was actually pointed towards me only. I also have an effect that blurs the back so it was focused on ME. Regardless , there was no need to even tell me that. If he would've just politely asked or even tried to start a conversation. It made me very uncomfortable and now I my review on Instagram and TikTok will be about my experience. The food was good. The chefs service was great! He brought me my food :.Everyone else seems like they'd rather be anywhere else and help anyone but me..lol It was a very unsettling first time. Mind you I spent over $30 in one sitting because i wanted to try some items."
"My food was fantastic! I ordered the 2 meat and 2 side plate. I got pulled pork and brisket with Mac and cheese and baked beans. I thought the flavors were spot on. My friend got the Thumbs stack which was supposed to be homemade potato cakes but ended up being premade looking hashbrowns. So that wasn't what we thought it was gonna be. That's the only negative I'd say.... Inside the gas station was soooo much more than what I thought it was. What a surprise!I ate scrumptious BBQ, enjoyed a little Christmas shopping at their huge gift store. So many options to choose from. Prices were a little more than I wanted to pay. But....Staff was very polite and helpful when I asked questions about food options. Inside the restaurant area was nice and clean. Plenty of inside and outside tables to sit at. If you're looking for a different experience I'd highly recommend this place!!"

"I love this little corner cafe. The menu hits SO MANY flavor cravings, I imagine just about anyone could find something they love here - and 100% gluten-free is such a ginormous win! I was so happy the café was open on July 4, as my days off don't always lineup for a sit down breakfast when they would be open. I was really craving chicken and waffles since a friend told me how good theirs was. Ultimately, I ordered a waffle breakfast sandwich that had those ingredients and more. Service was great throughout my visit, I was checked on multiple times and given great recommendations on the menu. The new cheery yellow booths are such a fun addition to this great little space (I hadn't been in the area for a few years, so I guess they're possibly just new to me). There is a take away register right next to the abundant bakery case. Be sure to try some of the fresh baked gluten-free goodness!"
"I love me an Italian sub. My friends have been telling me about Romanelli's for years and they finally took me. I had to go with the Italian Stallion. Absolutely an amazing sandwich. They also have a great Italian grocery section for all your cooking needs. #DukeOfEats"
"I've been here a few times. It always seems to be busy but love that you can grab a tag, sit down, and order and pay at the table. I've had the cold brew and banana bread latte (ordered it half sweet), both were super good. I like the eggs with prosciutto and mushrooms. It's very different than anything I've ever had. I keep wanting to get the bagel and lox and the ricotta pancake but have went back for the same thing both times. As well, I've had a couple of desserts. They were hit or miss for me. I had the lemon bar. The crust was amazing but the lemon (personal preference) I prefer more tart over being really sweet. The cheesecake was fairly good. The bagel the day I had it was very, very chewy and almost hard to eat (but still had great flavor). It's slightly loud which I don't mind. I worked here both times with no issues. I do plan to come back again."
"Another solid choice when it comes to middle eastern food. We wanted to get their desserts but got distracted by the food. The shish & lamb kabob was very delicious. Salad was very fresh; appreciated the dressing packed separately. We will return for the dessert next time. It looked delicious! Highly recommend!"
"We stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered a few things. We got a club sandwich, Oreo bar, pesto pasta salad and potato salad. The sandwich was toasted and had plenty of fixings. It was simple but delicious. The pesto pasta salad was super tasty but the potato salad, while good tasted like it was from the grocery store. The Oreo cream bar was dreamy and delicious. This is a quick no frills spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was friendly and food was good!"
"As soon as you walk in you are greeted but not like welcomed. I didn't expect to see the fresh baked pastries! Everything is from scratch. I can't wait to try the chocolate mousse cake. I did get the Italian and my hubby got the Londoner everything tastes amazing made with care!! I'd definitely recommend trying this place"
"I liked the food and coffee. Quick and efficient simple cafe. Has a local feel and gets the job done. I enjoyed my breakfast here"
"Date: Sunday, July 2nd, 2023Time: around 12:15pmReason: MacaronsI adore french macarons. Whenever I'm on vacay, I always search bakeries to see if there's a new place that sells them. (Well new to me.) I was having brunch down the street and decided to swing by here first to grab some treats. Unfortunately, I think this is a breakfast spot, so there were not a lot left. I believe I just grabbed one of each flavor and a coffee. The mini macarons were $2 each while the normal sized one - French Chocolate Macaron was $4.25.Texture wise, they had a slight chew. Tho they were very airy and crumbled / broke easily. I can't recall the flavors that day, but I think one of them was lemon which was probably my fav. I adore tart desserts / sweets.I read a lot of good things about their macarons. If I ever find myself in the area early, I'll definitely stop by to see if they have more of a selection then.REVIEW #3459"
"Cute little ice cream shop on the corner of Mill and 7th. They don't have very many flavors but what they did have was good, and they make up for it by also having a bunch of cookies. It was empty on a Sunday night. The prices are also very reasonable, it was $2.75 for a scoop and then an extra dollar for toppings. I'd for sure come back!"
"I like the convenience of being able to purchase a cake cup to satisfy my cake cravings! You can help yourself to the variety that day from their small fridge in the corner of their shop. I see it as a single cake slice layered with icing layers. It probably is left over cake pieces, but that's okay with me. There is no need for me then to purchase an entire cake to taste a good quality birthday cake and icing. (I would be eating cake for days and expanding the waistline for days if I did!) At $4.50 a cup and a spoon it keeps my stomach happy! Pink champagne with vanilla mousse and butter cream is my favorite with red velvet coming in a close second!"

Came here on a Thursday night for drinks after dinner. What a cool spot! Super indie cafe that also serves alcohol. Lots of people reading and with their laptops out working. Like others have said, music is significantly loud and lighting is dim. Personally, I loved this especially since the music they were playing was great! We ordered at the counter and sat on the tables right across from the bar top. Once our order was ready, one of the bartenders brought the drinks out to us. I ordered the Lux margarita and it was absolutely FIRE. It also had me feeling GOOOOOOOD after so really no complaints here. Best/coolest place I went to while in Phoenix. Can't wait to go back!

Still a go to for gluten free goodies and comfort food. They have perfected the fried food game and because of that that, they will never lack customers. Savory or sweet they have it locked down. Vegan options, and Omni options as well. All sauces are dairy free except buttermilk syrup and gravy. Yes the sauces actually taste good. The place is always full when I go. Honestly it's too small for the game they are in. As heavy hitters they need multiple locations but hey I'll settle for what they have. They have grab and go cakes now too. I've been trying to get a cake from here for a couple years now. So this is a great option if you need something fast without the days in advance notice. Service is still great. Answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. I always get my food to go except for one time I sat on the patio. The atmosphere is just too busy for me to stay but for some it may work.

I mean come on.Legendary status here. Bow down.91-92 I lived in the apartments next to here and they fed me 100's of sandwiches. Shamelessly I haven't been here in 30 years. I stopped on a Saturday afternoon in April because I happened to be in the neighborhood. As soon as I walked in I was flooded with memories. I even talked to Sam and told him my story and he shared stories right back. Great as always. Much love to you guys.

We love having coffee dates here. Great vibes, great people great food. The terrible part about coming is that absolutely everything they make looks and tastes amazing so it's so incredibly difficult to decide what to get. Could be worse you could go to the same spot for the same thing and be boring. ;)Or you could go to OV and be an OG

My first time coming here. My cousin raves about it. It has been here for 40+ years family owned. I literally live five minutes away and I drove by it all the time. I finally got to enjoy an early dinner, and I was not disappointed at all. Friendly family. Everything is made fresh as you order. I truly enjoyed my spanakopita. It's one of my favorite dishes. Their Greek salad was so fresh and with lots of onions that I enjoy :-) I tried my cousins grilled chicken and it was absolutely delicious. I had their homemade lemonade. It is made with rose water, and it tastes so so good. Can't wait to go back.

TOP FAVE breakfast / lunch spot! Berthas Cafe is the best kept secret in Phoenix. If you know about it, ya know! If not, you need to hop on it!! Our favorites to order are the breakfast sandwich and the Turkey sandwich. So simple yet so delicious! If it's your first time you HAVE to try the turkey sandwich. The caramelized onions make it an easy 10/10 for me. Their lunch special is also a great deal! In addition to all their great breakfast / lunch options, they also have several baked goodies to choose from. Service is top notch every time. The manager is such a delight & everyone is always so welcoming. The space is actually great for groups large & small. Doesn't get too packed which is nice for days you want a nice place to dine in without having to wait long periods of time. Addthis to your list of places to try if you haven't already!! You won't regret it!

Stopped by this bakery to see if they had some soup bowls and some desserts for a get together. They unfortunately didn't have the bread bowls that were available online, but the woman was very helpful with amazing service. We even sampled one of their breads to get an idea of the bread similar to the bread bowls. The desserts looked extremely appetizing and presented wonderfully. The taste of the handful of pastries, cupcakes were decent but not "life changing". They didn't have much in terms of dairy free allergies except thier breads. Give them a shot as this is a cute bakery that I'm sure you'll find something to satisfy the carb craving!

"Is it the best bakery in Phoenix as several articles have highlighted? I don't quiet think so, but it is a good one. Ordered the following things (in order of best to least): bacon and egg + chicken pot pie mini pies, strawberry croissant (vegan), almond croissant. I definitely recommend the first three, but the almond croissant I've had better. Big plus to staff who was super friendly. Definitely would try one of their other locations to see if there's anything different."
"I've been wanting to try the Kind Bean for a while now and finally got a chance to back in May! Hubs and I were out running errands and needed breakfast. I looked through my saved Yelp Collections, and saw Kind Bean was nearby. Hubs stayed in the car to take a call, so I went in by myself. I was greeted right away. The space had ample seating indoor and out.The menu offers a wide variety of coffee and tea drinks, breakfast items, pastries, and lunch. Everything is vegan. I needed a few minutes to look over the menu and the staff was patient with me. They also explained some of the popular items and answered my questions. I decided on an oat milk latte as well as two burritos for us: JoeBurrito and Loaded Burrito. Though the burritos were different from each other, they both had KIND tofu scramble and home fries. Pretty tasty and filling! Reasonably priced, too. The burritos were ~$10-11 each.Though I didn't indulge at the time, the pastries were very tempting. I was also impressed that they offer lunch items like lasagna, chili, chowder, and more. I will definitely be back for those!"
"Love this placesNever a better cookie place I love that they came out with mini cookies"
"Holy pies galore! This place has any pie that you crave. They even have breakfast pies! Service was quick and friendly and the spot was small and cozy. This trip we got a mini chocolate cream pie and mini key lime pie. The chocolate was creamy and had good flavor but not one of my top choices. The key lime was tart and fabulous with a delicious crust. It was perfect. I definitely want to stop in again for breakfast and coffee in the future!"
"Been coming to this bakery for over 35 yrs... :)Can't say I just love one thing, everything is delicious! Today I picked up a pink champagne cupcake and a pineapple mini upside down cake....Yummy!"
"Such delicious cookies. Always friendly service and staff. Always new flavors. Worth a visit for sure."
"So, I LOVE Noble bread and frequently get it at the farmers market. I do not find myself at the eatery often, as it's not too close to me, but on this fine day the occasion arose and we ordered Noble takeout. Their online platform didn't allow much modifications and my friend was looking for something specific so I called in instead. The gentlemen on the phone was not the friendliest and made sure to note that I could have ordered online, which I do understand and is easier as I was getting food for 5, but also could have had a friendlier tone. I ordered the ham sandwich, friends got the turkey sandwiches, mixed green salad and Italian grinder. All sandwiches come with a side mixed green salad, very basic, just greens - but you can upgrade it to caesar salad. Lastly couple brownies and the hummus with nduja ( it's sort of like a chorizo sausage blend) and pickled veggies on top. It came with fresh house made pita bread. Most of the sandwiches come on their fired pita bread or hoagie. Considering they have so many delicious fresh loafs, but that's okay. Sandwich was quite tasty, fresh ingredients for sure. The brownie was also good, but a bit cakier than I prefer. The stand out for me was the hummus with nduja! I've never had anything like that combination, but it was absolutely delicious and I will definitely be ordering it again or would make a special trip for it! Order was done promptly in 20 minutes and packaged well with all the things we needed. I did noticed their menu changes, sometimes they have trio breads or maybe that was in the past or specials. Menu is not huge by any means, 4 or so sandwiches, classic pizza, variety of sides and take and bake pasta options. Everything is definitely fresh though."
"Like the concept, but wasn't as impressed with the product.I tried the cookies and cream and snickerdoodle and neither were better than the giant tub of cookie dough I buy at Costco for $8. We also bought a PB square that was good, maybe 4/5 stars. They had two vegan flavors and the rest used pasteurized eggs--so "safe" but still egg."
"I've tasted JL Patisserie pastries at local coffee shops but had never visited their store. However, during a visit to Scottsdale one Wednesday, I made sure to stop by. This location is situated in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. I was greeted upon entering. The interior is bright, modern, and inviting. I had just eaten breakfast so I wasn't particularly hungry, but didn't want to miss this chance to visit. I absolutely love their canelés and was there mainly for the canelés. However, the sweet girl behind the counter let me know that they only serve them on weekends. I knew I wasn't going to leave without getting anything, so I decided on a cinnamon roll. I saved it for later as an afternoon snack and it was delightful, just like all their pastries!I still think about their canelés all the time and hope to make it back here on a weekend!"
"They never disappoint!! Ordered twice so far, they always do a great job everyone at our parties love their cakes!"
"One of the first Filipino restaurants I tried here in Arizona! The food is delicious. I love that they have a bakery separate from the restaurant. My heart jumped when I saw that they sell Silvanas! Definitely worth going here just for that. The service is always good, very friendly. The ambiance is a little dinky but that just makes it feel more like home I can't wait to go back!"
"I love that this location is a half a mile from my house. I check out the flavors weekly. Last week the Tres Leche was amazing! Today I got the cornbread cookie less than impressed. It was not served warm. The employees never seem as if they're having fun at work."
"First of all, I want to give a huge thank you to Jules for making these gender reveal cupcakes for my family. I'm allergic to dairy and she was amazing enough to make these delicious cupcakes with a dairy free milk so I didn't get a tummyache. We got one dozen cupcakes, and she was able to decorate and fill them with the color of our babies gender. These cupcakes along with being beautiful were super tasty. They were moist and fluffy. They were big, not small or even average size like a lot of cupcakes you get at small bakeries. If you have a special occasion, please stop in and tell your Vision to Jules. She will make your day special and sweet."
"Hadn't stopped into Hava Javae in ages! But had just gotten a blowout at Drybar just next door and had to walk away with a coffee. They have an extensive menu and they're happy to really adapt to make you anything you want. I was greeted by both individuals in there and was quite chipper about it.On the left side of the pictured menu (which I will take A pic of next time) there seemed to be some specialty drinks, and as I was on a Zoom celebrating Hispanic Heritage month, I opted for a Mexican Mocha (which she let me know they add chocolate, cinnamon, and milk of choice to) with oatmilk. I noticed the oat milk is $1 more as opposed to the .75 for almond, soy, coconut alternatives. She said "it's a hot commodity these days" - she wasn't lying. Nonetheless, I grabbed a medium and it was a large plastic cup. The large is extra large, and the small still looks pretty sizable compared to other well known coffee spots... I always ask for light ice because I don't like my cup to be filled with ice more than coffee, and she was glad to do that, and asked for a smaller pump of chocolate, so as to watch my sugars. She made it quickly, and it was definitely yum. Wasn't the best Mexican mocha I've had but the cinnamon was wonderful. I couldn't tell you what was missing, don't get me wrong, it was definitely delicious but I was ok. It was so delicious in fact that I ordered another with an extra shot and half sweet for my friend as a surprise and she LOVED it. She said it was perfect and was absolutely going to wake her up.The service and coffee were tasty. And I heard a woman rant about how it was one of the first coffee shops open in Phoenix! So there is a long standing history with the place. Come try a cup, and try the Mexican mocha and let me know what you think!"
"El Sol is a vibrant gem that transports you straight to the heart of Mexico. The beautiful murals outside and authentic Latin paintings inside create a welcoming and lively atmosphere. The Saltillo tile flooring and bakery vibes make you feel like you've stepped off the street and into a charming Mexican bakery. When it comes to food, El Sol truly shines. The chips are made from scratch and are nothing short of amazing, perfectly complemented by salsa that might just be the best in Arizona. The carne asada here is a bit unique compared to other places but is absolutely perfecto. It's no wonder I find myself eating here two or three times a week. The option to order a burrito in a bowl without the tortilla and add an egg for a protein boost is a thoughtful touch that caters to various dietary preferences. The service at El Sol is as warm and inviting as the food. Being family-run, the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff make you feel like you're dining at a friend's house. They ensure you're well taken care of and add to the overall wonderful experience.El Sol is a delightful escape with its beautiful ambiance, exceptional food, and welcoming service. For its authenticity, flavor, and heartfelt hospitality, I'd give it a glowing 5 stars. It's a place you'll want to return to again and again."
"There are new owners Anthem from Puyallup. WA. It has been a slow transition. The coffee seems a little better even though my Dopio (double) shot was only a single. Last week it was a double shot. I keep trying to give them a chance to get their groove down. I understand there is a lack of staffing issue. I assume why you cut store hours. Not sure why the music inside is now louder than before. This is not Seattle trying to keep the homeless out. Hopefully they can get it together before the two new coffee shops being built a block away from each store opens this fall."
"Growing up in Flushing New York , this "Bakery" is very similar to what I remember back in my younger days. So far I've tried a Chinese Cookie and a Chocolate dipped Almond Horn. Both were on the money. Just as good as a New York bakery. Will be my go to place for my cake and cookie craving."
"Sunday morning girls don't greet customers or make eye contact. I felt like I was disturbing them. Didn't say thank you. Heard them talking about how annoying it is when customers that order chai request light ice. Didn't repeat drink order back after the order was made. Felt like I was bothering them by being here.Drinks are ok. Nothing to write home about. Not from here so I won't be back when I'm in town."
"I found this place on Yelp after trying out a different macaron shop, and this one looked promising, so I had to try it! Camille was wonderful from start to finish! She made us feel welcome and answered our questions. They offer a good variety of macarons, and they also have a few drinks, cupcakes, and some sugar cookies. The macarons are absolutely delicious and they're a good size. I also love the aesthetics of this place. Compared to the 1st shop I tried, the ones from here are bigger! It's a cute little shop in downtown/Old Town Scottsdale, but you can barely see it off the street. Once you find it, it's very quaint and cute with a few seats and a nice photo opp on the wall.I got The Ruze drink, and it was pretty good. The sweetness level was on par, and the cotton candy topping on the cup was a nice touch! I would highly recommend Růže Cake House if you're in the area and on the hunt for a good macaron or two! I will definitely return sooner or later! ;)"
"Nice Middle Eastern grocery store with good prices on many items. They have an wide selection of various beans, pickled vegetables, cheeses, dates, meats & much more. You can also find frozen gyros & pastries.Ultimately, If you're looking for a new & interesting you may have found your place.Lot's of spices & other world delights to try.The store has a restaurant inside of it which had good food.I love trying new places, I'm happy this place is only a few miles from my place.I recommend it & will be back.Happy eating & shopping"
"We had the opportunity to stop into Sweet Dee's last Sunday. It is decorated so adorably and the display cases were full of wonderfully decorated cookies, macaroons, cheesecakes and so much more. Lots of creativity here! Cotton candy cheesecake!! Margarita macaroons! And they had a whole Star Wars theme going as well as Cinco de Mayo cookies. Friendly service and our coffees and baked goods were in our hands in no time. My lavender latte was delicious and the margarita macaroon won me over. The perfectly decorated sugar Patron cookie was good - I personally like a little almond added to sugar cookies for some additional flavor, but I get that not everyone does this. I will be stopping by again because they have so much to try you can't experience it in one visit."
"I love when I'm making a special meal, but don't want to make a dessert. Butta Cakes saves the day! They have a massive variety of small bite cakes, or you can purchase large cakes, that are frosted and decorated, or get a plain Butta cake. I always choose the plain, warm it in the oven, as instructed, make a Carmel sauce and serve with ice cream! It's always a hit!!! So dang good! The gooey buttery cake, that's out of this world delicious!!"
