Pho Zen Texas

Great meal. This place has been there for a while and we finally gave it a shot in January. I noticed a sign that says under new management out front and if that's the case then they are paying attention to quality. The pork had great seasoning and was lean and tender. The fried rice was excellent and my wife's Pho also good. We ordered fresh spring rolls as an app and I'm pretty sure one of the chefs made them to order. I would highly recommend trying Pho Zen!

Sadly gone downhill. Ladies working here are very rude. I have tried for days to order to go from here and the phone lines are just beeping. I decided to go today to the restaurant. On arrival I asked what the correct phone number was so my office could order to-go, the lady grabbed the phone which had been "off the hook" and acted surprised. But, I have been calling since they opened this morning 5 hours ago. I do not understand how they did not realize that not one to-go order had been placed. This is the 3rd time trying to call on separate days where the phone has been off the hook. Weird. Only one person eating inside at 6pm on Saturday. Food, to-go order took 20 min for 2 order of spring rolls and vermicelli. I heard the microwave going off so I know it wasn't freshly cooked. Very sad experience. Yucky.

Worst Vietnamese coffee I have ever had. It was extremely strong and the bottom part was extremely dark and super thick sludge that was not even mixed in well or drinkable. Do not waste your money trying it.

Went there for lunch on Friday afternoon. The place is small and inviting, very cutely decorated. The aroma of all the goodies being concocted in the kitchen welcomes you as you step through the doors. I'm going to guess the waitress and waiter were also the owners? They were kind and very attentive. The food...ah the food! We had Pho, spring rolls and fresh lemonade. The soup was piping hot how I like it, the spring rolls fresh and the lemonade on point. The freshness of the soybeans was impressive. Crispy and crunchy. Not a bit brownish and soggy like at some places. Def recommend this place, this just became the new place to go for Pho.

This is a seemingly great place, and a truly favorite pastime of mine.That's why it was horrible to learn that Pho Zen is a repeat offender of The Houston Health Department. The location has been, at times, temporarily closed due to failure to address "roaches, flies, rodents and other pests on the premises." Please, please remedy these health hazards! You guys have been great and I want to continue dining here (as I have since you took over Quizno's) without you being shutdown or anyone getting sick. Ordered chicken and rice dish. The food was good, but they seemed short staffed. We were not greeted when we walked in. There were many tables that had not been cleared off with dirty dishes. There was only one waitress and she never checked on us after ordering. Had to get our own menus and they were out of many things.

Ordered to go and got a large beef combo pho, the guy asked me pick 4 meats and I picked two different steaks , brisket n meatballs lol it was to go, so maybe he thought I wouldn't find out when I get home. But he only gave me a few brisket pieces and two half cut meatballs....I ordered a Large. This is a small and pretty much everything was wrongWas the past owner^^New owners are great!! The food was better the service was much better and the restaurant just looks cleaner . Prices for the egg rolls and spring rolls are a little steep. But the pho is priced well and great flavor. Will be coming back to try the banh miUpdate , came back to try the banh mi. And it was terrible ima stick to the pho. The pork was all hairy and it was microwaved meat you can tell 100% . Microwaved meat in a sandwich is never good .

Walked a mile to get to this place to eat and it was closed. Hours listed and google shows it's upload to be open

Pho Zen is currently having a business dispute so it is no longer active. All activities of transferring land lease contracts, or buying and selling shops under Giang Dinh's name are not legal. In the last couple of months I have ordered Pho at 3 other restaurants and wasn't able to consume it due to poor taste and high salt content. About three years ago I ate at Pho Zen rude waitress and terrible food preparation. Today they greeted me like a king and the Pho was the best ever. Although some distance from home I will be eating Vietnamese food at Pho Zen. I am not big on giving 5 stars however due to the tremendous turnaround I give Pho Zen 5 Stars. Great ambience that made you feel at home and seem to make the food taste better. Not like hurry up eat and get out. Thanks to all at Pho Zen for making my day pleasant!!!
