Man oh man! Usually I'm a huge skeptic when it comes to trying out places near my house because more times than not I'm disappointed! But, walked into this place with no expectations after craving Vietnamese food and wanting to try a new place, and Pho Nguyen did not disappoint! We were immediately greeted and asked how many in our party? The restaurant was very clean and the staff were prompt and friendly. English was not their first language but they were still very attentive! Ordered 2x orders of their crispy egg rolls, a deconstructed vermicelli (house special) and then one small bowl of pho... The egg rolls are legit here! Came out crispy and fresh and piping hot! My only disappointment is that their fish sauce is just simply fish sauce withOne julienned carrot in there! There's no extra spice or flavor or pickled garnishes to add to the egg roll! I highly recommend trying their deconstructed vermicelli! It's super good!! Fresh ingredients and the two types of meat that came with it were flavorful and juicy! All in all the experience was great! The only thingIs this place is a bit on the pricier side for a neighborhood Vietnamese spot! It's $4.50For 2x egg rolls and the dishes are on the higher side as well...so be prepared for that...

Woweeee. This might be the best pho I have ever had!! Who knew it'd be in Houston, TEXAS?!My friend (who is from Vietnam) told me to try this pho joint, so naturally I got the $14.50 XL bowl of F1 pho dac biet. There was a ginger taste, which I haven't experienced with pho in Los Angeles. The noodles are also thicker (and cooked softer) than what I'm used to in LA. The bun cha ha noi $13.50 was also delicious. I saw a lot of older Vietnamese grandmas eating this around me. It came with two servings: one bowl of grilled meat in fish sauce and one plate with vermicelli and herbs. They served a small side of garlic and spice that added so much flavor to the dish. I had to ask for more, and they happily obliged! The egg rolls were also pretty good! This restaurant is a ways out of the Bellaire area, so I can see how that can deter fans from frequently more regularly. There's a good sized parking lot though, so that was nice. Restroom was in the back, but it was quite dirty. They also ran out of soap..

It's a small family restaurant but it's decorated so cute! very cozy i loved it! the server was so sweet to us! very attentive. prices were decent! bowl of pho was like $10-12 , apps were $4.50-7. My friend got the thai tea and it was huge. The spring rolls and egg rolls were delicious. 10/10 miss them so much. pho was okay nothing crazy i would say like a 7/10. I loved the dessert it was something i had never tried. tastes like a pandan smoothie with jelly worms. would probably come back for some more spring rolls

My normal pho place is closed on Sunday and I was craving it since I was a bit under the weather. The reviews seemed good so I thought I would try them out, but they were not as good as my typical spot. The place is bigger than it looks in the outside and the staff were ok. As I made a to go order I cannot say how service is in house.Food: The appearance of the food was exciting because everything was packaged separately, but finally eating changed things. First the pho noodles were flat noodles and not the typical noodle found in pho which I thought was taking away the experience of the pho. The lean beef had ginger in the bag but it worked nicely. The broth was light but had nice flavor. The egg rolls were overly fried and I could taste the grease plus the dipping sauce was thin and had a weird carrot slice in it so I did not try. As far as the ban mi the meat was flavored perfectly and the best part of my order. If I did return I would not order the pho but I would try some other things off the menu.

I've been to Pho Nguyen several times, and my only real complaint is that it seems the quality of the pho broth is not consistent. The first couple of times I tried it, I thought it was literally the best pho I've ever had. After that, it has never been quite as good as the first time. It's like the proportions of spices are not the same each time for some reason. That being said, it is still quite good, and worth trying! The restaurant is clean, and they serve a carafe of pH adjusted water (Kangen Water, if I'm not mistaken) with stainless steel cups when you sit down. The service is pretty good, though we have had items ordered and charged, but never delivered on two occasions I can remember. There was never any issue having them removed from the bill. I think the staff just gets a bit overwhelmed at times - this place seems to do a lot of business. It's always been at least half full every time I've been there. As side note, I noticed that the restaurant has a You Tube channel silver Creator Award on the wall, signifying 100K subscribers. The channel is named "Thanh Long Tieng", but the only channel by that name I can find has nothing to do with food, so I'm not sure of the significance of that or how it's related to the restaurant. I'll have to ask next time!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! First thing I noticed, was the nasty water stained water pitcher. I should have immediately ran after seeing that but, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. When ordering my food I asked for egg rolls and a small eye round steak pho. The guy was so busy rushing he failed to tell me all they have is lean beef NOT eye round. The egg rolls tasted stale like they had been reheated and they added carrots to the fish sauce for some reason 5/10. The pho after 2 bites I stopped eating it. The noodles were flat not the typical pho noodles and I was upset about the meat being different. All the sriracha and black pepper in the world couldn't add flavor to their pho 0/10. After telling the guy how unhappy I was with the pho and that I only took like 2 bites he blew me off and still charged me like who does that?! Will NEVER return and these good reviews must be lies bc the food and customer service is absolute garbage!!!
