Have been feeling a bit under the weather so craving some "therapeutic" pho. Place was fairly empty when we came so got serviced quickly - everyone was helpful and nice! We got the classic pho with fatty brisket, flank tendon, and a lean cut and also tried their oxtail pho (added meatballs). Both really hit the spot! Oxtail was quite tender and had some flavor to it, you def need to add more meat to the pho just to maintain a decent noodle/broth to protein ratio. Passionfruit tea was so refreshing and not too sweet.Pro tip: if you're wanting to come here, it's right off the Beltway and there's quite a bit of construction on the roads so keep that mind regarding commute times but don't skip out on this place!

It seems like I only come to Phở Bò Tơ & Bò Né once a year during Lunar New Year Festivals at Viet Hoa Center. My recent visit was just that. It was freezing cold. My friend and I wanted to refuel our energy by having some delicious Vietnamese food in our guts. My friend ordered Shaken Beef and Thai Tea Drink. I forgot what I ordered. I was starving and watching the happening on the other side of the window. Service was pretty fast. Food was delicious. Prior to Covid, I came with my Yelper friend Eddie S and his mom. I tried Bún bò Huế for the first time. It was alright. Not much memory again. It was prior to lion dance shows. But I enjoyed the company.

This is my favorite place to go to for Bo Ne. Beef is tender and flavorful, eggs are nice and runny. Delicious pate and butter. Fresh vegetables on the side. Crispy and fresh baguette... what more could you ask for! Also great prices here!

The food was alright, unique in a way. Service was below average and the ambiance... there were flies on my food and water. Quickly just ate my food and left. Dine-in places are dead because of services like this. Owners don't want to pay their employees working wages and expect us to pay for our food and their wages.

Foodie tour of Houston continued! This was a restaurant I went to in 2021 and I loved it soo much I had to come back with my friends! Bo Ne is one of my absolute fave Vietnamese dishes, it's hard to find in my area so I will often try it anywhere I can find it! Something about the sizzling steak, eggs, pate, meatballs and cheese with a nice toasty baguette is just heaven lol. And this place makes it really well! And the pho is not to be missed either. Broth was rich and generous with the meat. We have never seen pho offered with be thui (roasted veal) before until we ate here. It's a delicacy, also very hard to find and not everywhere does it well - this was loved by all who were there!

Came with some friends after seeing this place was great for Bo Ne. I hadn't had it in a while so figured we'd try it out. Bo Ne is pretty much Viet style steak and eggs. It's seasoned beef with sunny side up eggs that comes on a sizzling plate. They also provide a baguette and fixings like pate for you to both eat with the eggs/steak and to soak up the juices on the sizzling plate. I ordered an extra side of pate and baguette along with a small pho soup with meatballs since I was feeling some soup too. For drinks, the wintermelon tea sounded pretty good, and it was. They have some other drinks I want to try next time.Food came out decently quick and everything was pretty good. I can't say it was the most amazing I've had, but still really solid. When checking out, I was double charged for a lot of things. I can't fully blame them as we had a lot of people at our table and everybody was paying seperately for stuff, but the staff was apologetic about it and was patient helping to refund the overcharged amount. Would definitely go back and try more things.

I've never tried Pho Bo To before but when I read the description, I knew I had to. It was about 20 mins away for my hotel in a large plaza. Parking lot is huge.I was quickly seated for lunch and was overall clean. The pho Bo to texture is like pad Thai with hint of hoisin flavor. Overall flavors was light but perfect to me. The spring roll was fresh and typical of a home made roll. The soy bean drink size was awesome. Great find and grab your check at the counter.

I'm not sure if this restaurant is considered a hidden gem but I am ecstatic to have discovered it for myself. I was looking for a quick lunch with a colleague close by when I stumbled upon this restaurant. I asked a few friends who I usually go to for Vietnamese cuisine recommendations about it and surprisingly they had not eaten there before. Never one to pass up a new experience, I decided to roll the dice and try it out. I walked in and I knew from the instant I stepped in that, I was going to like this place. The vibe was super chill and the staff were casual but friendly. My colleague and I sat down and reviewed the menu but I knew what I wanted the minute I walked in. I ordered the Món ăn đặc biệt (Special Food) Bò né. I've had bò né before and always enjoyed it, so I was expecting to be satisfied and hoping to be surprised. There are a couple of options to add along with the thịt bò (beef). I chose Spam. When I tell you, that this was not just a meal but an experience, I'm not embellishing. This bò né eliminated the competition! The presentation was exceptional, with the hot skillet, sizzling like there was still a flame underneath it. I could actually hear the sizzle all the way from the kitchen and it just grew louder in anticipation as it neared the table. The beef was excellent, succulent and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was a masterpiece! The spam and egg just exploded with flavor when combined with the beef and sauce. Totally enhanced an already amazing dish. Then the bánh mì, which was brought out personally by an older gentleman fresh from the oven was by far one of the best and freshest bánh mì I've ever had. I couldn't stop spreading Vietnamese mayo and patê on the bánh mì and soaking up the gravy from the bò né. This was a spectacular meal and well worth the trip.Never one to quit while I'm ahead, I decided to order a fried tofu bánh mì. This was a classic bánh mì and a solid choice, Just as fresh as the bánh mì that came with the bò né. Light and crispy. The tofu was good and the veggies had that crunch that I love in a bánh mì.I wanted to order soy milk as well but in all the excitement I forgot to order it. I'll definitely be back and I'll get it then. I'm still surprised that some of my good friends hadn't ate here before but I've highly recommended it to them after this visit. Discovering new Vietnamese restaurants is quickly becoming my favorite thing to do. Phở bò tơ & bò né rất ngon!!!

Located on the same side as Viet Hoa Supermarket, Pho Bo To & Bo Ne has quietly become one of my go-to spots for both pho and bo ne. The food has always been on point, the service has always been ultra friendly, the prices are affordable, and the vibe is often low key. They've done a good job at maximizing the space inside. It's not huge, but it's enough to handle several large groups at the same time. The waits are never long, even during peak times on the weekend and there is plenty of seating during the week during lunch and dinner. No lie, I feast here every time. This means I'm with large groups where multiple bowls of pho, at least a platter or two of their famed bo ne, and a good number of their appetizers ranging from nem cuon, cha gio, and their super interesting com chien bo luc lac.The pho is aromatic and the broth is semi-clear, with ample heapings of meats for their dac biet version and very underrated. Their bo kho (beef stew) is also famous, which goes well with noodles or baguette. The bo ne is the show stealer for most, with a good amount of beef cubes over a sizzling platter accompanied with a salad, baguette, and a killer paté + butter mix. I'd happily eat a cup of the latter.Plenty of folks will talk about how difficult service can be at other competing restaurants, but I've found that this location is always excellent in that arena. They're good about tending to tables, being friendly all the time, and really good with bringing the food in a timely manner. They may have their bad days, but most of my experiences have been some of their best ones. I highly recommend to all to give this place a try and order the very same things I've mentioned above for an ideal spread.__________My photos: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/pho-bo-to-and-bo-ne-houston-4?userid=ysCBsXWPB-LAiewVS3jZfQ
