Philly Steak 'N Subs

Haven't been here since the early 2000s when I was in high school, it use to be my hole in the wall spot. It still taste the same & friendly service! Got to get the Philly cheese and eat it there because all that gooey cheese and grease will soak that bread if you don't eat fast enough. It's the legit stuff!

The owners here are extremely kind and welcoming and this is a cheesesteak gem found in a random shopping plaza in Raleigh. They serve hot and tasty cheesesteaks fresh off the grill with warm bread and melted cheese. The meat tastes delicious too. The fries are hot and crispy. They offer chicken cheesesteaks too as well as some other sub options. This is definitely an authentic, hole in the wall, and delicious cheesesteak experience. If you don't like the look of the inside, take the food to go!

The price was great, but the restaurant really needs to be cleaned. This place also looks outdated. I craved a steak and cheese sub, so I decided to try this place after searching for a new local restaurant online...Also, the fries and steak could have been seasoned better. On a good note, the cook and the cashier were friendly.

Stopped for cheesesteaks with my wife today after someone recommended it in a local FB group. My son recently finished four years in Philly so I'm having serious withdrawal. I was more impressed than her. I thought they nailed the filling but the bread was poor. Hopefully it's not their regular supplier. It was super soft and barely able to hold itself together. The onion rings were good but not outstanding. Sure the decor is weak and cleanliness is questionable but I'll overlook a lot for tasty, authentic food. My only concern was that while the guy who took our order had a mask, the guy right behind him didn't. They're quite a drive for us but I'll probably give them another try.

Went here tonight because I had a taste for a Philly cheesesteak. Walked in and it was empty just one guy working the place. The inside of this place needs some serious deep cleaning and remodeling it was old and dirty , made me a little skeptical to order from there. I decided to go with the cheesesteak combo which was a 6 inch and included fries and a small drink. The food was really good and a nice portion size , I just wish the place looked more clean and presentable in the inside .

Yum! For my first time, I enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak and fries. It filled me right up! Want to go back for more...later!

We stumbled into Philly Steak & Subs and it was exactly what we were looking for, for a quick lunch. The man behind the counter was friendly and started off by asking us if we wanted fries since they take a bit longer and he wanted to get them in the fryer. We opted in for onion rings! My husband and I split the 12inch and it was plenty for both of us for lunch. My husband noted that it seems like they make their own bread here since they at least bake it off fresh with all the bread pans we saw. I thought the steak Philly was solid, could have used a touch more seasoning. I liked that they fire off everything to order and nothing is sitting around. The onion rings came out hot and crispy. For the price I would way rather eat here than spend the same amount of money at a fast food spot. We will be back!

This place will put a smile on your face for days!! The sandwiches are top tier! Bread is fresh! The drinks are made fresh daily too, the kool aid is my favorite & The two men that run the place are the greatest, they have the best services & will make sure you are taken care of!! The place is so cozy you'll really feel so comfortable, I'm in love with this place. If I can give them 10 stars I would. If you in a mood for a good Philly or chicken Philly I say this place is the go to. Anyone says anything opposite of this review is lying. Lol Everything was so good I forgot to take a picture!

I'm not sure how long it's been around. But it's a raleigh staple that we don't have many of anymore. Super good. The appearance might be a turn off. Don't let it be.

This cheesesteak probably would've been really good, but there was so much Mayo I couldn't eat it. More mayo than I've ever received on any sandwich--a super thick layer on BOTH pieces of bun. I'm not picky about toppings, but this was inedible. Such a sad waste of a foot long sub. I'd def try this place again but next time will be sure they leave it off. Unless you're looking for a Philly-salad-sandwich I recommend you ask them to leave off the Mayo.
