I've walked by Woosa so often and have been meaning to try it out. I stopped by right when their "happy hour" started (which is 3-5PM during the weekdays only, M-F) where you can upgrade your boba for free to a large (which we did!) They also have snack specials included in the happy hour. We didn't have the food, but it looked really good. I got the peach oolong milk boba tea and my fiance got the cold brew oolong. We really enjoyed both; I wish the peach oolong had a little bit more peach flavor, but overall I really enjoyed it. The boba I thought was great, it had a little bit of honey sweetness, really good chew, and wasn't too large or too small. I feel like they gave us a good amount as well. The drinks overall landed more on the less sweet side which definitely isn't a bad thing, if you feel like you're constantly needing to adjust the sweetness level of your boba drinks, don't have that worry coming here. There were a lot of interesting flavors as well as unique combinations - they do boba floats here (ice cream on top of your drink) which I haven't really seen other shops do. Additionally, the inside is super cute with plenty of seating (indoor and outdoor) and even a little display area where they sell local artists' artwork that you can purchase. Would definitely recommend Woosa!

I was giving this place a try with my friends. At the end I didn't make my purchase. They don't even have the drink I want. I wanted to order the Hong Kong milk tea from their menu and the cashier girl checked and came back with a "we don't have that". My guess is they don't have the hong kong tea available to make the milk tea. Although I didn't get to try out their milk tea, but a friend of mine who also went there with me ordered one of their drink and did not recommend me to place an order. She said the drink is like watered down. My husband watched how they made my friend's drink and said they added powder and a lot of water and barely any tea or milk. I believe the milk is also powder too. A milk tea without tea taste...i don't know now. To be honest, from their photos online, their drinks don't look that bad though.

DO NOT COME HERE! first off, there is a minimum for using a credit/debit card is $10. I ordered a Medium Jasmine Green Milk Tea and it came out to $5.50. They gave me back my change ALL in quarters which I was extremely pissed off about it as I do not like carrying change and had no other choice. Secondly, their stuff is just a mix of powder and water, not even milk. You do not want to be drinking this as it tastes just like water if you request less sugar. This store seriously gives bubble tea a bad name. Do yourself a favor and find better options around the area.

Yay bubble tea! Always down for boba. Woosa offers fruit teas, lattes, milk drinks, fried chicken, and even milkshakes (yum). I ordered a Thai tea milkshake latte twice and enjoyed both times. Sweet..with a subtle, earthy herbal flavor that is so delicious. I like this establishment! The restaurant is owned by two friends.. one a Philly local. Woosa has an authentic feel compared to chain bubble tea places because Woosa offers handmade cards and jewelry. Decor includes soft blues and grays with a giant whale mural that creates a calming atmosphere. I also enjoy the mural outside featuring many people of color. Cool drinks for hot summer days

Wanted to branch off from my usual boba ventures in Philly and so glad I went to Woosa. Surprised it wasn't super busy! I got the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea w/ Boba (half sweet/ light ice). The milk tea was very floral and creamy- probably one of the best oolong milk teas I've ever had. The boba was a bit on the soft side, but still chewy and sweet. Only critiques (from working at a boba shop) was that the drink got watered down quickly from the ice (tea was too hot/shaken less). Definitely coming back ASAP to try their other teas!!

My last bubble tea experience wasn't that great, so I was really hoping Woosa's tea would be a step up and it surely was. I'm pretty stuck on the thai flavor bubble tea no matter where I go, so i definitely compare how everyone makes it. The thai tea here did NOT disappoint. Frankley, I was surprised because it's right up there with my fave spot that makes bubble tea in HMart. Woosa bubble tea had a deep creaminess to it that I really enjoy more than my usual bubble tea spot. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back to determine a new favorite. lol

If you're a bubble tea gourmet, this is definitely your spot. This store has a boatload of options for customizing your bubble tea. Different types of tea, different types of milk/milk substitutes, and very knowledgeable staff to guide you through the whole process. The staff are patient and clearly passionate about the business. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in the area.Oh and if you're sensitive to caffeine, I wouldn't recommend visiting in the evening, as the caffeine free options are limited.

One of the best options for bubble tea and snacks in University City! Had the thai tea and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend if you're in the area and want to treat yourself!

If I could give this place negative 10 stars I would. This place has absolutely the worst milk tea that I've ever drank or ever received. The milk tea was not a milk tea by any standards. It was very very very watery and looked like muddy brown water and tasted like it too. On top of that just taking a few sips of the drink made me nauseous. See for yourself in the pic

The taro bubble tea was fine, but I was informed there was a $10 minimum, so I really wanted a bubble tea, had no other options in terms of location, and ordered sweet potato fries. The fries I got were covered with some kind of super heavy seasoning that made them inedible for me. When I looked at the menu on line there was an indication that they carry regular and spicy fries but I didn't see that option in the store when I looked on the overhead menu So it was a $10 bubble tea that frankly wasn't any worse but no better than 4 to $6 bubble teas. I get elsewhere.
