We got there after 7:30 for a mid-week dinner without reservations. The weather was great so we sat outside. This place is BYOB, which we didn't realize since we randomly stopped here, but there is a distillery next door to grab some to-go cups. The burrata app was fresh and enough for us to share though we weren't there for a big dinner. We ordered the chicken with crab meat and the whole branzino entrees. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The chicken is pounded very thin but it was a good serving size for me. And we share plates so appropriate amount food for us that night. We finished with tiramisu and coffee. The staff were cleaning up inside by then but didn't rush us or the other outdoor diners to leave. Very pleased with the meal

We have dined here on multiple occasions for lunch and dinners and this is a reliable and laidback place for Italian food in Ardmore. Bring a bottle of red and enjoy its rustic and simple flavors with its friendly and attentive staff. Always solid were the bruschetta, trio of mushrooms and the grilled calamari. But the chicken parmigiana, and shrimp and scallops entrees were done too well. Less tender was the cutlet and too much char overwhelmed the scallops with the smoky-ness. The special of the day lemon chicken with capers and peas was properly salty-acidic. Enjoyed the lemon cake as well.

Have been wanting to try here for awhile and finally made it here with friends this summer. They gave complimentary bread and oil to start which is always nice at an Italian restaurant. For our appetizers, we got the grilled calamari and some type of tomato appetizer. Both were excellent. For my entree, I had a pasta with shrimp which was also really good. Everyone I was with liked what they ordered. The restaurant is BYOB which is also a plus. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. I would definitely come again, my only negative was the service being a bit rushed. We weren't there long and I felt like they were trying to get us out of there which I hate.

- Villa Artigiano - Ardmore - First time going here last night. It was a packed place. Our group got the grilled artichoke, veal with a wine butter sauce and sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke, house-made arugula pasta with scallops and shrimp, caramel ice-cream and tiramisu. Every bite was absolutely delicious! Service was friendly and timely and our server explained the many specials very articulately. So many great options and not just your cliche chicken parmesean or spaghetti and meatballs. Seemed to have lots of regional Italian specialties. It's on Lancaster Ave and behind the restaurant is a nice big parking lot. The only negative was it was very hard to hear since it was so packed and loud ... I know that is an issue for some folks in choosing a place. Overall, a great meal!

Plenty of Italian restaurants with in a 5 mile radius of my house . I like Villa Artigiano the best! Why? 1) awesome decor and atmosphere- not too casual and not too fancy- modern classy.2 ) Restaurant was packed and service was excellent - very attentive staff.3) The only comment that matters was the taste and ingredients. Delicious, fresh, clean and crafted . Not greasy , over the top cheese. Pasta was quality- maybe fresh vs dry.Parking convent in the back. My once of month + place to eat!

Unfortunately I didn't love my experience here. I did like the ambiance and our server was quick and attentive, however the food was where it was lacking for me. The salads to start were fresh and tasty, but the main entree I ordered did not blow me away. The chicken was extremely thin and rubbery and the sauce it came in was pretty bland and lacking flavor. I left here still hungry quite honestly which is not usually how it goes at an Italian restaurant.

Our fourth time here, and we've always been impressed with the food, service and ambiance. Our favorite restaurant! The salmon was superb; the chicken parm well enjoyed by my husband.Dessert was equally delicious: cheesecake and lemon cello layer cake.Villa Artigiano is surely a gem on the MainLine!

A cute new addition to the mainline, however the food was disappointing. We ordered the whole Bronzino, linguine pescatore, and capellini. The pasta sauces were pretty average, fairly watery and lacking depth of flavor, and the pasta itself was store bought not fresh. The fish was probably the highlight of the meal, although the included sides were a haphazard assortment of steamed veggies on a side plate. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions, though we did have to push them to check on allergies for certain items - the first response was "I'm not sure".I'd recommend Alessandro's in Wayne instead.

We ate there with a group of friends. The food lacked flavor. But most disappointing was the service. One waiter attentive, two were rushing/impatient, but last young girl server was downright rude! When asked for cutlery for us to share the desert literally threw them on the table as though she did not want to be there----could have hurt someone...My friends and I were shocked at her attitude! I moved to the area a while back and was told about this family place so did not go up to the desk to complain but I hope they train the family/staff to provide customer service and table etiquette.
