unfussy casual spot for good indian food with lovely staff! my friend and i started with the chicken pakora and shared two entrees, the lamb vindaloo and the lamb curry. we also got the garlic and cheese naan which was absolutely delicious. my friend also claims that this is one of the more authentic spots in philly. the waiter was super attentive and friendly. the food came out fast and was super flavorful. i'll definitely be coming back for more!

The food was scrumptious and the portions were enermous. I enjoyed every bite. The naan were special. Well seasoned and soft. The curry fish was well seasoned and not too hot. The samosas had a unique taste. I love it all!!!!

Solid takeout experience. I was craving something spicy, so we ordered Lamb Vindaloo (boneless lamb cooked with potatoes in a spicy and tangy sauce) and Goat Karahi (goat sauteed with special ginger sauce, bell peppers, onion & fresh tomatoes cooked with herbs and spices), both "spicy" level, as well as Lamb Samosa (2 pieces crispy triangular pastry turnovers filled with minced lamb seasoned with potatoes & green peas) and Garlic Naan (bread stuffed with fresh minced garlic and herbs, baked in tandoor clay oven). Although the samosa was on the drier side, the rest of the food was tender and spicy and well seasoned. The depth of flavor in the karahi was terrific.No pictures, because we were too excited to eat. Will definitely return!

This is not a typical Indian restaurant (either north or South Indian), even though the name and the menu is Indian. Do not expect to get authentic north Indian or south Indian food here. For example, the Dal was not even close to what you see in an Indian restaurant. The paneer masala was a mix of paneer pieces in a watery red sauce. Naan was good. Goat curry was average.

Desperately looking for open restaurants later on a Sunday night (around 9:20). This spot was open till 10, so confirmed via phone call and headed there as quickly as possible.We arrived with half an hour to spare but at that point they were only doing takeout orders. Quickly went through the menu and ordered the Chili Chicken ($13) and Garlic Naan ($4). Food was ready after about 10 minutes - tightly packed in a to-go back, and thankfully with utensils after asking. Chili chicken is a large serviced of sliced chicken marinated in chili paste, tomato ketchup, and other spices. The overall taste is sweet because of all the tomato ketchup, with some spicy follow-through. Naan is your basic fare, not too much garlic but went well to scoop up the chicken.Was hoping for a sit-down meal, but they seemed ready to close out for the night. Plenty of options to choose from here, so could be hit or miss.

Great flavors, lamb and chicken were both tender. Dessert wasn't too sweet but satisfied our cravings. Overall a great experience, especially since they were the only restaurants opened late on Christmas Eve!More food reviews on Instagram @midwestmunching

was excited to try it with my bf. He ordered 'very spicy' in everything but the food came out extremely mild. We talked to the waiter who said he relayed everything to the cooks...i can't fault them for having mild food as default. But if you're used to normal indian heat this isn't the place.

been here a few times for dine in and takeout and i would so recommend it. the staff are always super accommodating and friendly- food can take a little bit to come out but once it does i've seen why. everything tastes super fresh and house made, so i don't mind waiting a little longer for that to come out it. food is reasonably priced, and is always a great spot for a solid dinner

Worst food And bad service Bad energy I was waiting for my order more than half an hour so what makes it worst is the unprofessional staff in there they don't give a damn shit about anything ..

Authentic, fabulous food! The grilled vegetable appetizer was a wonderful way to start our meal. The chicken tikki masala had been recommended and was amazing, as was the butter chicken. Beware the garlic naan as it is truly addictive. The service was perfect. Can't say enough good things about this charming, unassuming restaurant. The prices are more than reasonable, especially considering the quality and the generous portions (it was too hard to finish our entrees so lucky us we got take home). Cannot wait to return, highly recommend especially if you are looking for fantastic Indian cuisine.
