Rochester's Barbecue & Grill

Service was great and the food is SUPERB! I am new to Jersey and this was a lucky find on Google one hungry afternoon. The restaurant is spacious and had comfortable seating for dine- in. It was much bigger on the inside than it looked driving up. We ordered the food to go, and it did take some time for the food to come out. But OH MAMA, so worth the wait! If you're in a hurry, order ahead. We ordered the NC style chopped pork sandwich, which was fantastic. It was a bit soggy bottomed when we got home, but it was so flavorful, that didn't slow my kids down at all. For my husband I got the brisket and beef ribs. The ribs were fall off the bone juicy and the brisket, melt in your mouth tender. I had a veggie platter that included many of the sides. Slaw- fantastic. Baked beans - delicious, Sweet potatoes- like candy. The collard greens were my personal fave. They were tender with a rich umami flavor. This man knows flavor x1000. Hats off to the chef! This place just became our local go-to for BBQ from now on.

I have only been here twice thus far but delicious food both times. I personally don't judge an establishment based off of the serving containers, but they're more or less a convenience due to the portion sizes. Beef ribs, cole slaw, mixed greens, sweet potatoes, green beans, the 'you gotta be kidding me' wings. All top notch. I will be coming again very soon and turned on a couple of friends and associates to this establishment and all were highly satisfied.

Great food - everything our party had was loved by everyone, even my picky nephew. The family running were great too!

Food was amazing - we ordered take out for the whole family and got the jerk chicken, fried chicken, pulled pork, greens, coleslaw, black eyed peas, fries, and macaroni and cheese. Everyone liked everything (and that's extremely rare with us, lol). Staff were friendly and the interior of the restaurant was very nice and clean. Would definitely recommend!

The chicken smelled like it was burnt, but really, they must've used old grease. Macaroni and cheese was nasty. The banana pudding was SOUR. Not worth the money will not be order here again. Would love a refund, but we know how that goes..smh, you guys should be ashamed to send food out that not quality food.

I don't know how this place isn't packed on a Friday night because they most definitely should be the food was amazing fresh home cooked style and the seafood pasta was Devine lump crab meat and large shrimp definitely going back

The food at this restaurant is cooked like you're at home. Abundant servings and quality ingredients. The BBQ ribs were some of the largest, meatiest and freshest that I have seen in years! Not the dried up bones with flakes of meat on the edges covered in sauce. The location has plenty of parking and is ADA compliant. The restaurant is nice inside and so are the owners. They also have entertainment and events as well. Great for take out and even better to eat in!

Finally stopped by after seeing this place forever!!Couldn't believe I waited so long!!If you like Southern Style Pulled Pork, collard greens and cornbread done right this is the place to go!! Delicious! Perfect! Just the way you want them to taste!!Yummy!Barbecue chicken mixed greens and sweet potatoes were equally amazing!!Delicious Cornbread, peach cobbler what more could you ask for?? Well they also have Ribs, wings, etc. check it out!So glad I finally did! It's not just a take out place. It is also a Beautiful comfortable BYOB for dining in. Which is what I will do next time. Great place to meet. Plenty of parking right next to Lawnside Shopright . Very nice owners. I highly recommend!

I had a sit-down meal with my family, and the food ordered was served in a foam takeout container and not a dinner plate. Then they had the nerve to charge gratuity for non-professional service.I understand and do not have a problem giving a tip, but when you charge customers for the full course meal (meal, two sides, and bread) and then extra charge for the two sides that's a rip-off. The hostess or waitress told me what my bill was $167.00 without showing me what the charges were. When I asked to give me the bill and why a $120.00 bill (includes full course meal, drink, and taxes), but says $167.00 because they added a gratuity of $47.00 for poor service and the food was too salty served on a foam take out "Not At All". I've have been here before, but never disgusting till now. The quality of the food had decreased.

Some of the best collard greens I've ever had. But the beef & pork ribs were tender. Service was great. Even offered to carry my food to the car
