Seriously if I could give this place zero stars, I would! But unfortunately for me, I do not have options for that. So here is everything that I have to say about this place. The jerk chicken was very undercooked. It was all red inside, once I took a bite. I almost vomited. The plantains were hard as a rock, not sweet at all. Oh, don't get me started with the potato salad, omg! The potato salad was nasty.... I didn't even touch it. When I opened the container, it was all watery looking thing, I don't know how else to explain it, but it was more like soup that potato salad. It's like they put water, cream and tiny potatoes in a blender and blended it. The worst island food ever, and I've had many... this wasn't even worth a star that are forced on to us to give to this business. Very undeserving of this 1 star. I wished I had taken pictures, but just thinking of the food now, makes me gag. Just nasty, totally nasty food. Even an alley cat or dog wouldn't eat it.

I've been here a few times and usually go for the jerk chicken, which is alright. But this time, I tried their oxtail, and man, no regrets at all. They call themselves Oxtail International for a reason--the meat was crazy tender and full of flavor, like I couldn't stop eating it. I was just sucking the meat right off the bone that's how tender it was. They give you big portions too; I had leftovers for the next day. Ordering was quick and easy, perfect for a takeout joint since it's small and there's no seating. One thing I wish is that they could take out these thyme twigs that come in the greens but other than that everything was smackdizzybop

Where I wanted to order takeout from canceled my order. I found oxtail international by searching for another location that would deliver. This is my 1st time ordering with them. The portion size is decent but I would have liked more rice. Jerk chicken is not too spicy. It did not come with any sauce/gravy. I would try this restaurant again !

Super good Jamaican food. We ordered through Ubereats and was not disappointed. The owner is super nice and will call you if they don't have what you ordered so that you can choose your substitution. We got curry goat, friend chicken, oxtail and beef Patties. Haven't been to the actual restaurant itself yet but I've already ordered 2 more times since. I'm definitely a repeat customer, you should absolutely try this spot if you're looking for some good Carribean food!

Stopped in to grab a small oxtail platter with a beef pattie and it was just what I was hoping for. Everything was delicious, oxtail was falling off the bone and the sauce was nice and rich. Mac and cheese was nice and creamy with plenty of cheese. Loved the beef pattie and the okra. I will definitely be adding this restaurant to my neighborhood lunch spots.

Great new Jamaican spot in the area that also does juices! There's no dine-in but there's delivery through DoorDash and pickup. You can walk in and order too. We ordered the jerk chicken, mac &cheese, oxtail, pasta and cornbread. Everything was sooo good and the customer service was great. The cornbread was sweeter than expected but still really tasty. Will definitely be back again to try out more food and their juices!

I didn't hear good things about this place but I wanted to try it for myself. The food selections were nice but that caribbean flare just wasn't there in the taste for me. I went a second time I decided to try a chicken patty because I believe in supporting when ever I can but when my friend and myself were told there were no napkins they were all rolled up with plastic wear and no napkins for people who are purchasing something that didn't require a fork is ridiculous, take a trip to any dollar store for heaven sakes. I'm still hopeful about this place but I'm not running back any time soon.

Fresh made homestyle meals. Food generally made with love only wish the portions were more generous portions considering the price, especially for the oxtail. Mac and cheese were over cooked to the point the crust was blackened and not tasty. The short ribs leave a lot to be desired as the 3 portions/ribs I received were small and fatty with very little meat....

Mediocre island cuisine and unnecessary rude boy service. Came from the gym with my daughter and we needed energy before running errands so we stopped in for the first time to grab some grub. Mind you, Caribbean Cuisine is our go to (Little Delish on Woodlawn Ave. before they shut down) but in this case the curry chicken was ok but needed salt. The peas and rice were burnt (not burn-burn just burnt) and we couldn't eat it. Sweet potatoes were overly sweet and the greens were just ok. The Mac nCheese and jerk chicken was the best thing we ordered. Needless to say we will not be going again. There are several outstanding Caribbean restaurants in SW Philly to spend your hard earned$. This is not one of them:(
