It's sad when a business has to call it temporary quits and gets taken over by new owners. Such things like this become "bittersweet" in life. That was the case for this place. After trying new things this place has gone back to a fairly new menu, some new Asian culture items, and even sells Japanese soda called Ramune (the one with the little marble that people online helped make a huge craze here in the States!). There is a lot of stuff offered here in restaurant No. 1.There are about four seating areas all in this cozy place which can be good for close friends or ones who want to know each other better. The food is bought around a structure that keeps you separated safely (in case you have covid fears) and a side section when the food is ready. The food was great. I had mixed vegetables, a portion of veggies in a simple soy-based sauce I had to stop eating to get to the next one. The second dish I bought was the "spicy" beef with garlic sauce, which surprised me with its sweetness, and man, was it tasty!I can say I enjoyed my food, which became leftovers and helped tide me the next couple of days. Mmm. Satisfying! They were so kind and gracious, and I want to keep coming here again. Yes this wasn't the same place as yesteryear that I made friends with but I hope to start anew with a "new" business that still has all the good stuff I wanted and needed on top of new editions. Come to China. This place really is number 1!

Foods and service is Disgusting the answer the phone rude then when the up charge you if you're using your credit card. They say they don't use MSG but they do stand clear. Call to place an order you can barely understand what the person is saying on the phone then when they feel like they want cash only then they say if they take the credit card they're adding an extra dollar two dollars more the food is gravy and nasty order someplace else.

All I'm going to say is that I ordered here on a Grubhub whim without checking Yelp first. We ordered steamed dishes with sauce on the side. They were chicken and shrimp with broccoli. Kind of hard to screw those up. The shrimp was ok, but the wife hated the chicken. I tried it, and it tasted like, well, not much at all. I wasn't even a fan of the wonton soup. I threw most of it out. Just off on the flavor. I'm usually a big fan of the wonton soup. Positive was that the shrimp egg roll wasn't bad. I'm guessing they are really good at fried foods. Meh I've had better, that really sums this place up.

After reading the previous reviews I was literally hoping they were not coming with my food. The food wasn't horrible but it wasn't that good either. I don't think I'll be ordering again. I was disappointed that they wouldn't let me order orange chicken as a lunch special- I had to order the General Tso's chicken instead. Despite a note directly under the lunch special menus stating "If you do not see what you want ask for it."The lunch special came with fried rice which wasn't good and steamed broccoli which was okay. I also ordered fried dumplings and wonton soup. Out of all of the food the fried dumplings were the best- although they seamed more like store bought versions rather then house made... I had my order delivered and was told it would be about 25 mins. It ended up taking 45 minutes which I thought was kinda ridiculous since I work less then a mile from the restaurant. I also didn't get chopsticks which was a bummer too.

Have they been taken over by new owners? It used to be pricey but it matched the quality. My last order was significantly cheaper but it certainly matched the quality because I genuinely threw every last bit out - inedible. Literally could not chew the food.

The new owners are very rude and nasty I walked in while they were eating and ordered my food expecting the lady who took my order to wash her hands before she cooked my food but to my surprise she didn't I asked her if she could wash her hands before touching my food (nicely because I'm not a rude person)and she got very upset gave me my money back and told me to get out moral to this story is please don't eat there because they are not clean at all all I asked was them to wash before touching my food. I never do reviews but this pissed me off big time!! I had to give a star but wish I didn't.

I have been here several times and each time the food is different. One time the Chinese pancakes were perfect, the other times they were overcooked. Fried dumplings normally okay, last time parts of the dough was raw. Egg rolls no flavor lately. Cold sesame noodles usually good. It's hit or miss.
