Loved my visit to Mi Pueblito truck! The ladies at the truck clearly are living out a passion, creating the food that they do. The beef quesabirria with consomé is delicious. The elote is quite flavorful. And the pineapple lemonade drink they make is the perfect, refreshing, beverage to bring the meal full circle. Definitely check out this local business for some authentic birria. They also currently have chicken birria and birria ramen is coming up on their menu. Check them out on Front & Dickinson street! They're open on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays!

I will have to go against the popular opinion here and say the quesabirria tacos ($14 for 3) are just okay. Not amazing and not bad. They are huge tacos with a ton of meat stuffed inside. And the crispy, cheesy taco shells are delicious. The issue I had was that the meat is a bit bland. It's missing something, in my opinion. The consomme is also on the blander side. It's salty, but the flavor is not well rounded like it was made from stock. Overall, the tacos are just a bit meh. My brother also agreed that it was a bit on the bland side. I went on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm and waited about an hour. The truck is located at Front and Dickinson. Just for context, there was maybe 15 people in front of me. The service is slow. They take orders from about 4-5 people at a time, cook those orders (about 15-20 minutes) then take the next 4-5 orders. While the wait is slow, the service is very pleasant!

Wow what a popular food truck. Maybe we went on a off day cause the line was THREE HOURS LONG. We got in the line at 4pm, and didn't order food until about 6:45. And by the time we made it three hours, we couldn't give up cause we were already three hours in. They ended up getting Starbucks hot chocolate for all the people waiting cause it was so cold. I was a nice gesture for all the waiting customers. Their hours are a bit fluid as they are a truck and can make them whenever they want. To get the most up to date hours I would definitely follow them on Instagram. Ok for food, they have the regular birria and also quesobirria tacos. I got an order of both just to try it out. Each order comes with onions, a chili pepper, lots of lime, and hot sauce. The addition of cheese in the quesobirria was magical and seemed to really hold the taco together when dipped in the consommé. The horchata was also really good and they ladle it into the big containers so $5 gets you quite a bit. Be prepared for long lines if you dare to try to get these. Get there early if possible cause the efficiency of the truck isn't that good and also people seem to put in large orders so that also slows the line a lot.

This is a hidden gem in South Philadelphia. Only opens Wednesday until Sunday from 5 to 9. I've never had birria tacos before. I saw their post on Instagram and looks amazing. The food truck is located on 7 street near the corner of 7 and Moore. When I got there around 5:15, there were already several people waiting for their orders. It took a while to get your order. They put the menu on the board. I ordered birria tacos comes in 3 tacos. It definitely worth the wait. Tortilla is very fresh. Beef is tender, hot sauce on the side is spicy. Definitely put the lime and dip it in the consome that comes in separate container. The broth is very savory, not too salty, perfect flavor. Although it is red, it's not spicy at all. I can drink it like that. There are some pieces of that beef in the consome. Very authentic.Friendly service also they use paper container for the tacos instead of styrofoam. Very responsive to my questions through Instagram Cash or Venmo.

$ CASH ONLY $$15 for an order of 3. They were three biggg tacos. We got both the regular birria and the quesabirria. Both comes with onions and cilantro. The regular one was stuffed with so much meat! Still preferred the cheese one though. The outer shell was my favorite part. Nice and crispy. The hot sauce was spicy. Would also be good as a chip dip.

Mi Pueblito is a food truck located right off of S. Columbus blvd ( behind the old movie theatre under the overpass). It's a simple yet great approach to tacos. They only have birria tacos! That's it. You don't have to lament over the menu because it's the only option and they're damn good tacos. They have great customer service but won't take any new orders until they've gotten the previous orders out of the way. The peppery sauce that comes with the tacos are spicy but delicious. The consomé is perfect for dipping. They also have really good drinks on the menu like horchata, hibiscus, strawberry kiwi and pineapple. Everything is made fresh so you will wait but it's so worth it!

I am always down for birria tacos and this place is definitely worth trying. The tortilla was perfectly crispy with a layer of cheese between. The consommé was delicious and not too salty, as sometimes they are. We also got the ramen special, which was interesting. The ramen was nothing special as it came in a pre-packaged container but it was super nice as they added the birria meat and consommé-type broth. Prices were really reasonable for the amount of food for a food truck. The one downside is eating there is difficult. It was far too messy to eat in the car so we opted to sit on of the curbs. Would have loved if the truck was parked near a park or at least benches. Also, they don't have any drink offerings besides juice, so luckily we thought ahead of time to bring soda. Finally, it's cash only so make sure you come prepared.

My bf loves this food trunk, and I'm so glad that I got to try it! We ordered beef birria tacos, and the crispness of the taco shell was very memorable and enjoyable. The beef was relatively bland, but the hearty, smooth consome made up for it. Service is quick, and the food trunk is a bit out of place and out of our way--but I love a good hidden gem!
