Very nicely stocked little grocery store inside the Philadelphian building on the Fairmount Ave side. They actually do have a pretty good selection despite the smaller size. Produce is decent price and fresh. Prices are a little higher throughout but that's fine as it's a convenient spot for the neighborhood. And also support a great family owned and friendly shop with great staff. Great assortment of pretty much anything you'd need even lots of ingredients (spices, canned things, etc) to take home for cooking. Also has a deli counter. Thanks

I really enjoy this store. My Grandmother has been coming here since I was a kid and now this is the store I shop at for mine. Fresh food, family environment, decent prices!

I really like this store! With the long lines in front of Whole Foods and TJs, I walked past Klein's many times but today, I finally went in. They have a great selection of meats, fruits and veggies. Great for a single person or couple doing light shopping. Bigger shopping may not work but to pick up things during the week is more than enough here. They also have a nice deli area. It's a little tight - mostly with people blocking the aisles while shopping. However, the staff were really helpful and made sure to check on me if I looked lost. They even recommended Little Pete's next door for meals - which also ended up being another good treat. The prices were also very reasonable! I recommend that folks support this grocery store in the area for the weekly shopping - especially if you're not a big time hoarder-like shopper and would like to save too.

Moved to the Fairmount neighborhood about two months ago and love this little gem. They pack a lot into this little supermarket - it's filled wall to wall, and floor to ceiling with most everything you could want/need. It can get a little crowded, cause it's no mega store, but the employees are eager to help find what you need and get you on your way. It's a family operation and obviously can't compete with the Giant's and Wegmans - some prices are higher and some are equal to, or lower, than the big corporate stores - particularly if you're not obsessed about buying ridiculously priced "organic". And, it's important to support small, independent neighborhood stores.

Klein's somehow manages to have everything I need in their small space. Fresh lunchmeat, prepared foods, produce and just about every name brand pantry item you can think of. The employees are friendly and shop is clean. Klein's is a great way to shop small but without sacrificing any of your favorite items!

Yesterday, Wednesday 7/17 it was close to 100 degrees F. I went to Klein's supermarket on my way to visit a friend in the Philadelphian. When ready to pay I suddenly got lightheaded and had to sit somewhere before passing out. After one minute a gentleman came over to ask if I needed help. He gave me Gatorade and a banana. After about ten minutes I was ready to get up and meet my friend at Little Pete's. In those 10 minutes he came over several times to check on me.I learned from an employee that he is one of the owners and his name is Alfred.Thank you Alfred for caring! BTW the produce was fresh and plentiful, firm Jersey tomatoes, fresh baguettes and bagels, etc.Thank you Alfred for caring, I'll be back soon.

This market has come a long way. Why go to Whole Foods? They now hv EVERYTHING! The inventory has quadrupled. Even if you've nvr tried some of the new items, go ahead. They bend over backwards to serve their customers

Klein's will sell anything to make a buck, beware. Yesterday I bought reduced price broccoli off the bottom shelf where the bananas are and was sick in the middle of the night. Also, be careful when buying the eggs, every carton I checked had one or two eggs that were cracked. The brand they carry has an issue, weeks ago I bought a dozen and half of them were sticking to the cartoon and ruined because the egg was seeping. And lastly, high prices, higher than Whole Foods on some items, my cottage cheese, Friendship No Salt, $3.99 at Kleins's, $2.99 at Whole Foods.

I love their bagels, but I am very disappointed that they are not doing anything to control the flow of traffic or limit the crowding around the bagels/checkout area. Unfortunately, I will be staying away until they do better.
