We came here a year ago for skewer hotpot and experience was alright. This time we came here on a sunday afternoon. we got there a bit after it opened, and there were no other customers until the end of the meal. The sanitary is questionable as both of our stomach didn't feel great after the meal. Moreover, the sign over the fridge was incorrect (vegetable trays $1.99, Meat trays $2.99, Seafood trays $3.99). We were charged by the container type instead of the type of food in the trays. Save yourself some trouble and go to other places instead.

Nice interior atmosphere for hot pot and you can view the skewers and such. All of the dishes were pretty good, some more flavorful than others. Good skewer portions for the price. Rice cake brown sugar sauce tasty. Had instant hot pot beef super spicy and wished there was more in the broth, but the spiciness of both was good. Few other dishes like fried potato, lotus root, heart skewer. Overall pretty good amount of food for price, thanks

First time trying this type of hotpot, decided it's not for me. Just personal preference. I will say though the spicy soup base was good and strong in flavor. We also got the sour bone broth and that was really good too. Skewers were a little skimpy in size in my opinion. It was also low in quantity as well. I also didn't find the options to be appealing. Bonus points for providing little aprons to protect our clothes. My lower rating is due to service mainly. Props to her for working all the tables alone but they should really have more than one person, especially on a Saturday. It seems like other reviewers had a helpful waitress though so maybe someone called out this day. We were sat without any explanation of how anything works or water. Took a while to flag down the waitress to order the broth. Nicely decorated interior but there's a certain fake plant that sorta hangs in the way as you walk past. So watch for that.

A hotpot place where the group shares a big hotpot in the middle. Something unique about this place compared to the other hotpot spots in Philly is that besides the BBQ and apps that's prepared in the kitchen, hotpot ingredients are self serve from the fridge. Each ingredient is on a skewer. Skewer are charged 55 cents per skewer (some ingredients have two skewers so $1.10). The interior is really cute. Most tables are just right for 2-3 people, a bit tight squeeze for 4 people.

amazing skewer hotpot place! the owners were rlly nice & informative. the skewers & food for the hotpot was in a self-serve area. the ayce comes w the self-serve food, drinks & some items off the menu tht u can order from the kitchen. there's aprons in case u wanna protect ur clothes. i feel like if it was located in the main street of ct, more ppl would want to go in! highly recommend going!

It is yummy. It can be very spicy though. I order the lowest spiciness. Once in a while you can have this to satisfy your cravings.

One of my favorite hot pot places in Chinatown. If you are looking for something more authentic and spicy, Hong Qi Gong is the place to go. I'm from Sichuan and love spicy food and flavors and this restaurant did not disappoint. Our waitress was helpful and since the restaurant was busy when we arrived, she gave us a bell to ring whenever we needed assistance. The skewers of food we got ourselves from the fridge were reasonably priced - most items are $0.50 per skewers. With our group of 5, the total ended up coming to about $26/pp (we had also ordered some additional side entrees) which I thought was very reasonable, especially when comparing to other hot pot restaurants in Chinatown, like Chubby Cattle.

The best meal I had this week! Highly recommended if you want something tasty and spicy ( of course, you can control how spicy you want or choose non-spicy at all)

What a fun night! The hotpot was very DIY, so we picked out exactly what we wanted from the fridge. I was grateful that there were non-spicy options as I'm extremely sensitive to spice. If you only speak english there may be a few communication barriers with the staff, but everyone was friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices and tasty food.
