"Goat and chicken, exquisitely spiced and fried to perfection, appears upon your plate. You take a bite, and are transported to the world's far hemisphere, where flavor is not forbidden and your taste buds are elevated with the experience. All this in an unassuming strip mall in Delaware!"
"I have never head an issue buying a delicious chicken and rice halal meal at this truck. The price, also, is always right, especially in this area where you typically pay an arm and an a leg for lunch. $5-6 dollars for a meal, including a drink? Who can beat that? And... the people here are super nice!"

We were extremely happy with our visit, it's a clean atmosphere with both outdoor and indoor seating, the food is fresh, flavorful and appetizing. We had a lovely chat with the owner and are looking forward to future visits. The desserts were amazing too! Lam chops 10/10 Chicken tandoor 9/10 Cheese Garlic Naan 10/10 Tandoori Paneer 7/10 Malai Kulfi 10/10 I definitely will be back to try the biryani and some more Lamb chops."
"(Hopefully this is the right cart!) Until trying this Halal cart, I have to admit that I thought all carts were about the same. I was particularly impressed with this cart however due to the fresh, extra vegetables. The food was prepared quickly, the meat was well seasoned, the portion was very generous, and the gentlemen were friendly. I will definitely return for my next Halal craving!"
"Lovash is one of our go to's for Indian takeout/delivery. As someone who loves Indian but has a dairy allergy, I love that I can get vegan saag here and the tofu vegan saag tastes just like saag paneer to me...winning! The husband really likes their chicken tikka masala or lamb vindaloo. It's quick, inexpensive and high quality, plus portions are most definitely sufficient. Recommended, especially for those with dietary restrictions."
"I had biryani. Chicken and lamb. Extra spicy. My nose was running from the spice and that was what I wanted. Lol. This was good. I actually called my order in and picked it up. Everything is made to order."
"This is inside the small food court area of Franklin/Philadelphia Mills mall near to Old Navy/Walmart/movie theatre. Food was pretty good. Ordered 2 combo over rice platters ($8)-not bad at all! The combo gets you a choice of two items to go over the seasoned yellow rice, along with salad and pita on the side. We got Lamb with chicken and fried fish (choice of talapia or whiting) with chickpeas. Meats were very well seasoned and the salad that comes with was fresh. The whiting was also flavorful and fried nicely (be careful of the bones). The pita was freshly grilled with a little crunch-very good. Rice was ok. We ate in the food court to avoid the food smell permeating the place with the open kitchen. The woman taking the orders seemed a bit annoyed by a customer asking questions about the offerings, but it got sorted out. I'd return if at this mall."
"It is so wonderful to see this restaurant gain traction among locals and foodies alike. The portions are wonderful, the meat dishes succulent (lamb could use a tad more salt/spices), and the fish is absolutely a must get! We arrived for dinner at 5pm and some of the items have already been sold out (I'm looking at you, lamb-soup).Grab a friend, skip breakfast, and enjoy a terrific meal here at Malooga.Must get: liver, fish, lentil soupMeh: lambMissed out: dessert"
"The food was delicious but I think I'd order online next time. I think they have a new system because the listed sides on the menu were not an option to order. We also had a little trouble with our order- we tried to get a double platter but it seems like what came out were single orders. I was impressed that they stamped the dinner rolls with a design and the dipping sauce for the bread was heavenly. I got a mint lemonade that was super sweet but still tasty. The meat was a bit over cooked and I wish there were more veggies."
"I don't understand how this place only has 2 reviews! Great food. We always do takeout from here."
"I'm in delight! Been waiting for spicy masala kitchen to open and the time has come; not only that, it's DELICIOUS! We dined in and we're served promptly with genuine smiles. It's a small restaurant, but if you're looking for a casual filling meal, this is an easy place to go to. Everything was very tasteful; plan on grabbing some takeout soon!"
"Gouba Grub is the real deal when it comes to Mediterranean food. The platters are healthy and bountiful. They are so tasty you might want to pick up a few platters. The ingredients are always so fresh and that makes for a fantastic product. The staff is very friendly and professional, and they are very helpful in explaining what is included in every dish. I stop by when they are parked on Bustleton Ave. right off of Cottman Ave. If you haven't checked them out yet you don't know what you're missing. Yes it is a food truck but you will receive a restaurant quality meal and for a reasonable price at that. I would not steer you wrong. You need to check these guys out if you are looking for a quick, affordable, homecooked meal. There is plenty of parking in the lot right behind the truck so it is quick in and out."

Stopped in here on a Friday evening because we were at the nearby Hobby Lobby and saw it in the strip mall. My wife and I love Indian food but are fairly picky about where we eat it. Biryani City did not disappoint! If you love Indian cuisine then Biryani City is a must try Indian Restaurant! The service at Biryani City was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was great. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about providing a welcoming atmosphere and great service. Their warm hospitality made me feel welcomed and that my experience was valued. One of the highlights of my visit was the staff's extensive knowledge about the menu. The gentleman who waited on us graciously took the time to explain each dish we had questions about in detail, helping me navigate through the many options. Their honest advise allowed me to make informed choices, and my wife and I were thrilled with the food that we ordered! Now, let's talk about the food - it was simply outstanding and the best Indian food I've ever had! Biryani City truly lives up to its name, as the chicken biryani I had there was the best I have ever tasted. I asked for it to be very spicy and it was the PERFECT amount of heat to flavor that I was hoping for. The flavors were rich, fragrant, and balanced. Each dish was a delightful explosion of authentic Indian spices and aromas. The restaurant's skill and pride in the menu were evident in every dish we tried. In addition to the Biryani, we had several naan varieties, Chicken Tikka Masala, and a chicken appetizer that was amazing. The diverse selection of curries, naan, roti, dosa, and many other options left me spoiled for choice. Every dish was prepared with such attention that enhanced the overall taste and authenticity..In conclusion, my visit to Biryani City was an absolute delight. The attentive service, knowledgeable staff, and exceptional food quality have left an indelible impression on me and we will certainly be back, probably within the week! If you're a fan of Indian cuisine or simply looking for a great cuisine experience, I highly recommend Biryani City. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

This is my go to spot for lamb over rice. For $5 bucks, you can get lamb, rice, and a salad topped off with red sauce (spicy or mild) and white sauce. Line can get a little long, but it moves pretty quickly. I've been going to this guy for a few years now and he's a nice guy - so give him you money!

THE BEST! This is honestly the best Indian food I have ever had and I am so happy I found my new spot. I'm extremely picky with Indian food because it's my favorite, but this place is better than overseas. Everything we ordered was 10/10. I highly recommend it!

I'm a fan! I was going to give this place a 4, because the food is great, but the exceptional service is what brought this over the top. So let's talk about this place.Food:I got the chicken over rice, and it came with that as well as salad and a drink. That's all for $5! $5!! The chicken was tender and paired well with the "green sauce" which I think is cilantro, "white sauce", which I have no idea what it is, but make sure you get extra, and "red sauce" which is chili sauce. These sauces are drizzled over the top of the plate, making for an elegant, yet scrumptious meal.Service:This was amazing. It was my first time there, but the owner was friendly, prompt, and knew his clientele. He had regulars that comes every day and he knew their orders by heart. Though it took a few extra minutes for me to get my food (he was making it from scratch), I got the chance to see how he interacts with others, and you can tell that he has a pretty loyal customer base. I don't work near Penn Presbysterian yet, but when I do - you can be sure that I'll try to make this a regular spot for me.

Great delicious food at very reasonable prices. Has decent seating ambience for about 30 inside and a couple of people outside. Service very quick and has live kitchen counter for those who are interested to see how Indian food is cooked. Great joint if you are passing by south street.

I wanted something different then my normal salad, I saw that this place just recently opened so decided to try it. The order taker / cook was not very inviting...he wasn't mean but I didnt feel warmly welcomed either. The food was very good and ample portion, I had enough to eat the next day for lunch. I would visit again.

Favorite new ( to me) BYOB in old city. It was by chance that I happened about it, and thank god for that. A little background- I was born and brought up in the Middle East so I can truly appreciate authentic Mediterranean food. We chose to sit down at the floor seating and started off with the hummus topped with falafel which was amazing, but my favorite was the chicken Mandi and Sana chicken sizzler. Both were simple superb ! Service was top notch and I love the little details on the window sill. Get ready to be transported to the Middle East at this amazing restaurant.
Visit Restaurant Page"I stopped in this market more for just the food. No matter what time my day it is, The mood is always peaceful and welcoming here. There's always a nice line for the buffet and understandably because it's one of the few places that really makes home style, Middle Eastern food and you can do some grocery shopping. Today I ordered lamb with rice and mixed vegetables. I hadn't been by here in a while but everything is just as good as I remember. I can't say enough how awesome it is to come here and get food and to have conversation with fellow patrons and staff. It's definitely a treasure to have a 24 -hour market like this in the neighborhood."
"I'm not quite sure how we found this place, but it has been worked into our regular rotation for lunch. It provides a chill atmosphere and some very taste food. While they are usually lightly staffed when we come, the staff is always on point, friendly, and willing to help with selections. My go to has been their platters. You get plenty of protein, a heavy salad, and some amazing rice. I mean, I do not usually get to into rice, but their is great. One of the staff recommended this non-alcoholic beers they had it various flavors which I'm sort of hooked on. I can't remember the brand but I usually go Apple or Strawberry. Their Chai is also very good if you are in a tea mood. Overall, a clear recommend in my book. Enjoy!"
"I stopped in here on a whim as I was leaving Wegman's and was hungry. It's located in a sparsely attended hotel complex which used to house a Hooter's. Good burger memories. I almost walked out when I stepped in and saw a small smattering of patrons. But I persisted and was very glad that I did. You don't see many Indian places with alcohol, but I decided to tea tote tonight. Ordered some Naan bread and the lamb kebab. I requested that the lamb be cooked medium as too many times I've gotten well done shards when I didn't make the request. The Naan was melt in your mouth. The lamb Kebab was served table side still sizzling fajita style. It was so tender and has a trailing kick to it. The rice provided and grilled vegetables was a perfect pairing. It was too much lamb for me, which is rare. Brought some home to the wife and she loved it except for the spice."
"What a hidden gem! Surprised I haven't been here or heard more about it. I came here for a weekend lunch with a couple of friends. The place was pretty quiet and we were seated right away.Papri Chaat - My friend described these as "Indian Nachos". It was delicious and tasted like chips with sauce, beans, and spices.Garlic Naan - You can never go wrong with ordering theseTandoori Chicken - The chicken was a little dry but liked the pickled onions it came withLamb Rogan Josh & Lamb Korma - Both delicious and flavorful. The meat was nice and tender. We also shared a cheese ball dessert. I found it overly sweet and didn't like the consistency. Overall, the food was delicious and I highly recommend this spot for Indian food!"
"Excellent food! I just went to Türkiye in May and the food here was as good as our best meals we had there. Our server, who is from northern Türkiye, was very friendly and helpful. We started with the lentil soup and the stuffed grape leaves; both were excellent. Lentil soup was a staple pre meal on our Türkiye trip & the grape leaves were covered in a dressing that made them even more delicious than usual. For our main, we split the manti and the Turkish meatballs platter. The manti were the best part of the meal, delectable little dumplings smothered in yogurt and paprika. They are a MUST. The meatballs were delicious as were the accompanying sides of salad & rice. They play Turkish music inside & the restaurant is decorated with greenery & pictures of Istanbul. It's a great spot that we will certainly return to soon."
"Al-Sham is such a gem, and the food is amazing! Prices are very reasonable, the proportions are generous, the flavors are *chef's kiss* and the menu is overwhelmingly huge!We had the family meal #3 a few months ago but we just had their wings (naked and breaded) and their sampler and all I can say is... don't sleep on their American menu! The wings were great and the sauces were generous as well. They make the food really fast, great service and good overall vibes!"
"Woondal offers an exceptional dining experience with their exquisite Indian cuisine. From aromatic curries to flavorful biryanis, each dish is expertly crafted to perfection. The quality of ingredients shines through, creating a delightful culinary journey for your taste buds. With impeccable service and a cozy ambiance, Woondal earns a solid 5/5 rating for its outstanding food and dining experience. I am genuinely excited to go back!"
"I've always said that Philly needs more made-to-order Indian places, and it looks like my prayers have been answered in the past few months! Tandoori of India is located extremely close to my boyfriend's house, which made for an easy weeknight date night. The staff (really just the front of the house guy and the chef) were super nice and helpful, even going as far as having an "Indian" spice level gauge and an "American" one.I'm usually the type to get the tikka masala or butter chicken, but I ventured into tandoori territory and got tandoori chicken, which, while it took forever to cook and come out, was completely worth it and I ate pretty much everything. It was flavorful, and obviously well taken care of. It's nice to eat in, but take-out is pretty accessible and easy too. For the price, the portions are great, and I really hope this place does well enough to stick around for a while!"
"What's not to like about a classic Philly Cheesesteak with the cheese whiz? Adding onion rings on top just to add more of a crunch! Rana's is clean and pretty quick. Just ask to have everything made halal and they'll be more then happy to do so"
"Decent Schwarma with pretty good meat, mediocre tzatziki, and excellent "Schwarma sauce."I got the lamb and beef wrap. At $8, the price is quite agressive. The wrap is a good lunch portion but not overstuffed. The meat was probably a small handful, not a ton. It was savoury and flavorful with a nice juicy tender bite. The pita wrap was a bit dry/chalky grinding between my teeth but was crisp and just oily enough on the exterior. The tzatziki was goopy and just not very aromatic. Mostly tasted like light sour cream. Toppings were fresh and crisp."
"Meat ; this had delicious lamb flavor throughout. I immediately wanted to try their entire selection. I also ordered the lamb shawarma pita sandwich. The wrap was tight, crispy, fluffy and so satisfying. I wanted more vegetables but was extremely satisfied with the flavors and smoky hummus dip on the side. I highly recommend stopping by for any Mediterranean food lovers. Complimentary hot tea too!"
"I'm always greeted with a smile and a "what can I get for you, sister?"The friendliest food truck in the area, big enough portions that I usually get a full meal and a little snack from it. Can customize what you order and they do it with a smile. It's in a great location with really good hours for those late dinners, and every time I walk on that corner, when I weigh the options of all the yummy places, the food truck usually wins out. Try the fish over rice, if you usually get chicken, it's fried and delicious. They give you a drink with your food and are always clean. White sauce is tangy and I drench my chicken over rice in it, and the hot sauce is a good balance of flavors and slight spice. Try it next time you want some street food. Even the cheesesteak is classic!"
"UPDATE: everything else still stands, but the rose and cardamom is now my favorite lassi. GET IT!Also props to the staff member working all by himself being absolutely slammed during porchfest. He was hustling and doing a great job with the food with a line out the door!"
"I came across this place because:1. I was SUPER hungry2. It was close by3. It had only 1 $ rating on YelpI didn't have too high of expectations as the place was empty around dinner time, and it just seemed like any other kebab/halal type place. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the man at the counter. We both ordered a #10 which had one beef and one chicken item. It looked and sounded delicious. All of their main menu items were around $10-12, which was a little more than I anticipated. Food took a little while to make as they were making it all fresh. Although we were in a hurry, we apprecited the MTO meal a lot. The food came out piping hot! There was rice, our beef and chicken, a side of salad, some stewed chickpeas, and a side of yogurt sauce and salad dressing. DELICIOUS! Especially the chicken. GET THAT CHICKEN!"
"This little halal cart is located across from the Whitman shopping plaza. Honestly, you can't beat the price for $8 rice platters with a drink. You can also call ahead to place your order for pickup at 267-699-8572. The guy is super nice and friendly. Although I came around 5pm on a weekday, there were a few people ahead of me so you know that this is a good spot. The food itself is okay, I think portions are on the smaller side but definitely worth trying. It gives you plenty of rice and meat. I was a bit disappointed in the salad as it wasn't much. Otherwise this is a great spot for a quick to go meal."
"I was brought here by a friend. I would have never known this place existed had he not.Walking in, everything was clean and in order. The lady behind the counter was so genuinely nice. She was very patient with us while we ordered, and changed our minds about 5 times. She explained, and answered questions all with keeping her upbeat demeanor.I ordered a turkey burger. It didn't knock me off of my feet, but it was good. I liked te seasoned fries that came on the side. The menu is pretty extensive. I would return to try other options."
"I continue to be amazed by both the quality and quantity of food provided for less than $10! They even throw in a drink. This food truck offers sandwiches, platters over rice, or platters over salad (or a combination of rice and salad). I opt for the platter over salad every time, switching between lamb and falafel. They put white and hot sauce to your preference.I do not know there formal hours, but I typically catch them right before they pack up between 7 and 8pm. The cart is quick with extremely friendly service. Check them out!"
"Safe to say I'm not a huge fan of halal food. The food was edible for sure. If you're a fan of Halal you'll enjoy I'm sure."
"The food is out of this world!! The people are very friendly too. This is my 2nd visit as I live in Seattle but I would come here every time I am within one hour driving distance"
"This is a good spot for tender, juicy and delicious Chicken Shawarma on a warm pita bread.Always fresh food.Always fast service.Always friendly staff.Four Yelps."
"To be honest I've never been a big fan of The Halal Guys... food always seemed stale and not great. It wasn't until this store that I turned the corner. After eyeing their slowly built storefront, I finally went on opening day. Staff were super friendly and helpful with putting together my order. Inside had space to sit in and was rather cozy given the area it's filling. I took it to go, but food survived the 15 minute trip back. Food was stellar and seasoned - at least for a Halal Guys! Chicken and beef gyro were wonderfully done, and was just what I needed for the night. Probably can't beat local shops, but you know what you're getting yourself into here. Hope they keep this quality up and continue serving great food!"
"A few things to know if you've never been to Falafel Time:1. This is a predominantly take-out business. The space is small, and there is one small table inside that I have never seen anyone using.2. Their signage says they are cash only, but they also have signage stating they accept cards. I have never had an issue using a card, but as a small business of course cash is preferred.3. While the name is Falafel Time, the main event here is the chicken shawarma. The first time I tried Falafel Time, a friend and I called in our order and walked over to pick it up. We got a chicken shawarma platter with fries instead of rice, beef kabobs, hummus and pita, and a salad. The portions were HUGE, we had enough to feed four people. The hummus portion alone was super generous, especially considering the price point. And it was some of the most fresh and delicious hummus I have had in a while. The beef kabobs were a bit dry for my preference, but this did not matter because that chicken shawarma platter was out of this freakin world! For a recent takeout lunch order, I ordered through Yelp. I decided to add falafel to my chicken shawarma platter and the whole meal came out to $15. The platter is a very generous service and it comes with a small salad too. The falafel was good, not my favorite ever. But as always, the chicken shawarma delivered."
"Stopped in here on a Friday early evening for dinner. You order at the counter and then they call you when your order is ready. I thought the prices were very good for the portions you got. I enjoyed a hummus bowl that had veggies in it and falafel. I got a meal so i picked a salad and a bottle of water to go with it. There was so much food! My boyfriend liked his dinner as well! The restaurant looked fairly new. Nicely decorated and clean. I will be back for another hummus bowl!"
