Fabio is my main man. He deserves for this restaurant to take off to new heights. He took the time to make sure that my friend and I were comfortable navigating the menu before we made our selections. Gotta love hearing a great story from a guy like this who opened up his own family restaurant. Fabio made us feel like we were welcome in his home. The bandeja paisa (I may be butchering this name) was absolutely incredible. I haven't had much Colombian food in my life, but the flavors here are unbelievable. It's about $16 for this plate of food, but that EASILY makes 2 meals. It comes with a variety of deliciously seasoned meats, with many different carbohydrate vessels to demolish them in. The tostones here were a real treat, you can't just get them prepared like this anywhere. I'm not totally sure how they made the sauce that they make available on the table, but it is an incredible salsa-type creation that can be slathered on top of anything to take it to the next level.Fabio - I beg of you to open a restaurant in Fishtown (or some other place where there are many millennials). They would love to explore a place such as this, and YOU are the guy to make it happen!

Indeed, some of the best Colombian food I've ever had. No wonder locals recommend this small but amazing eatery. Wow. I ordered their "Bandeja Tipica"...bandeja means "tray" and the plate might as well be a tray of tasty and authentic foods, you need to either share or be really hungry to attempt to even approximate eating 75% of everything that's served, which includes:A bed of RiceEggHalf an avocadoHuge and meaty chunk of porkHuge and perfectly seasoned sausageSmall corn cake 4 large fried plantains...and under all that, about 8oz of perfectly grilled skirt steakA genuine cornucopia of taste and satisfaction. To top it off, the staff treats you like a long-time friend, they're super welcoming and attentive. The menu is full of authentic dishes, too many to try unless you're a local. I will come back as soon as I can. Pro tip: skip breakfast when you plan to eat here!

DEEE-Licious! I had the daily special, which was pork chop platter. It was so good I ordered another platter to take home to my wife. You had a choice of soup, a choice of entrée (besides pork chop m, could've had two different types of chicken), and it comes with rice, salad, and a choice of starch: Tostones, Maduros, or french fries. I actually substituted Red beans for the soup, great choice for me. There were three different types of soup to choose from: lentil, vegetable, or chicken. I cannot wait to return! Awesome music plays as well-salsa, meringue...aye!!!!

Not the Fabios I remember. Food wasn't fresh. My order wasn't right and took way too long. Too bad this place lost its flavor.

Fabios chicken restaurant is by far my new Columbian hot spot for excellent chicken, crispy skin on the outsde with moist dark and white meat on the inside. The consome soup is unbelievable i was in awe with the flavors and how well they meshed together in a savory broth the fish dissolves on your tongue while the carrots and potatoes just feel like they are melting in your mouth with each bite. The rice and beans were good along with the fried plantains and the pickled onions and side salad. i am looking forward to coming back as soon as i can. This place makes some of the best chicken in north philly!

Was taken here today by a Colombian friend who needed to satisfy a craving for something cheap and delicious. This place reminds me of Nanzhou, a Yelp favorite, because of the heaping helpings you get for next to nothing. I got the oxtail soup (Sancocho) with extra rice and plantains to see how it would differ from the Korean-style stuff I was used to at home. Aside from a thicker, stew-like broth and beefier potatoes, it was just as delicious. My friend got a flat steak (Carne Asada) that I think he ate in just under 10 seconds. Remember Yelp, you're missing out on a lot if you don't visit NE philly once in a while, especially this place.

Great spot for Colombian food. They have specials on Sundays for carne asada and sopa de pollo. I'd recommend trying out their mango smoothies as well!
