Really cute and small ice cream shop in the burbs! The worker scooping ice cream was really kind and let us sample multiple flavors :) I'm rating this place 4/5 stars because I thought the ice cream itself wasn't special. I have many friends that rave about Carminati, but nothing stood out to me. I tried the pumpkin flavor, which didn't taste much different from grocery store ice cream to me. I did really enjoy the texture of Carminati ice cream though! The ice cream is creamy and almost stretchy (if that makes sense).

I drove by this place and barely spotted it. It's a very small building. Me and a friend came back to give them a try. Parking: street however I think there is a small driveway where you can park.Atmosphere: very bright and quaint. It's very small inside so it's not really good for a big group. You'll have to go in a few at a time. Service: The servers were very nice. They Gove you a sample if you ask. Their ice cream is made in limited batches on their premises with local ingredients. I love that!I had the chocolate and It was good. They also have sorbet. I had the pineapple, and it was delicious. My friend had espresso and mint chocolate chip; they liked the espresso. Overall, we enjoyed this place and we will go back. I hope you enjoy!

This was a great little find after being good and having a salad for dinner. Oh yeah, my reward! This place was recommended by some people who overheard my conversation with my sister, suggesting we find an ice cream place for dessert. Some people more familiar with the area chimed in about this place. It's a little hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for, as it's very small and surprisingly, there was no line, that is until after we got there. They make the ice cream daily from milk from a local dairy. Flavors like Toasted Vanilla, which has the subtle taste of burnt marshmallow, were unique and delicious. I opted for that and the Salted Caramel, which was also yum-mee! The ice cream is velvety smooth and really creamy. It's gelato style, and with the amount you get and the quality, prices are more than fair. My sister had just gotten back from the shore where she spent 7 bucks on a cone! This was $9 for 2. They have the ingredients hand written on a sign when you first walk in, and light corn syrup is crossed out. They leave that out for healthier ingredients. So you can see all the ingredients, no chemicals, all natural, with none of the bad stuff in there, except maybe sugar. So let's review: Local dairy, made daily, and all natural ingredients you can pronounce. You're still sitting there reading this? Well get going to go get one!

I visited carminati creamery. It was fabulous. My regret was why haven't I ever come sooner? Is creamery service both gelato and sorbet. Both are fantastic! They do not even compare to anything you would find in the grocery store. Don't even try.The staff are very kind. They even offer samples if you're torn between some of the amazing flavors. By the way, flavors change frequently. Their dairy comes from the local dairy farm. They can tell you which one of you ask. That makes it even better!

You know warmer weather has arrived when thoughts turn to hitting up the nearby ice cream spots. Carminati's is a small independent gelateria in the Keswick Village section of Glenside. It is a hidden gem. Their housemade gelatos and sorbets are superb. I especially love their salted caramel gelato but on a recent visit I passed on that to order a Honeydew Melon sorbet. I had never tried that flavor before and I can only say it was a great choice because it makes for a fruity and tasty sorbetto. Carminati's is usually open from about Thursday to Sunday so if you're in the area on one of those days, seek it out. It is easy to drive right by as it is very small ... but def be on the lookout and you will be pleasantly rewarded when you find it.

DON'T COME HERE IF YOU'RE BLACK. I stopped by to see what flavors they offered that day & in general. When I walked in the guy behind the counter looked at me and didn't speak. I then asked what flavors they offered and he pointed to the wall & then I asked do they have a list in general and he shook his head no. He couldn't even exert the energy to open his mouth to answer my question. It's not as if he were shy as he was having a full blow, interactive conversation before I walked in. I'll pass.
