Such a cute spot! I finally made it into Petunia and was shocked at how nicely done the inside is!There are a ton of options, whether you're looking for sweet or savory. The items didn't have prices on them. I got an almond croissant, which is my go-to for comparing bakeries. It was pretty good -- not the best I've had, and was a bit dry and more cakey than flakey, but I still enjoyed it. I'd definitely come back and try something else or post up here for a bit to get some work done!

Petunia Bakeshop was such a surprising highlight to my weekend! I stopped by early Saturday morning and had such a nice experience. The case was full of delicious sounding pastries (spinach feta, chorizo, poblano pepper, etc). I opted for the Birria croissant and it did not disappoint!! The croissant came with a small container of consomé to dip it into, it was perfectly flakey and fluffy, and the meat inside the croissant was very flavorful.The man taking my order brought out my order in a to-go bag and when he saw that I was eating in, he kindly brought me over a plate! I will definitely be back and although everything sounded amazing, I don't think I'd be able to stray from the Birria Croissant!

My husband and I'd favorite bakery in the area, of the many that we've tried. SO MANY OPTIONS! classic cinnamon was fantastic and full of all the gooey good stuff. Top notch bakery! We had the Abuelita Mocha, Birria Croissant, Pecan cinnamon roll, and a Breakfast Sandwich (egg, cheese, bacon on a croissant). Everything was SO good. The drink hit the spot like a mocha but with more flavor from the spices, the breakfast sandwich was piled up with gooey cheese leaking out the side and of course the croissant was perfection. The birria croissant comes with consomé dipping sauce and is such a powerful balance of spiced beef, flaky croissant, with soft fluffy inside that soaked up all the consomé. We ended up working here for the day and enjoyed the free WiFi and positive vibes, fun music from the staff. For lunch we tried the Turkey sandwich and that aioli was sinful!! 5 stars for sure!!

I've passed by Petunia a handful of times going to get a good ole Santiago's breakfast burrito. So when a new friend asked to meet near Sloan's I decided why not give it a go. I tried their dirty chai and a ham and cheese croissant, both very good. Chai was just how I liked it, a little bit spicy and a little bit sweet and my croissant was perfectly buttery and flaky. I also ordered a to go mocha and a jack roll for my husband. He said the mocha wasn't his fav and the jack roll was super sweet so he couldn't finish it at once (he has a major sweet tooth so this was surprising). I tried it and he was definitely right, SO sweet but was very tasty. The 4 stars is because my to go order took SO long... I waited a good 10 minutes and no one else was in their ordering. I was acknowledged by several staff so I appreciated that but the person making my drink didn't seem to want to pick up the pace (though they did apologize for my wait).

A true hidden gem. This bakery has it all! From the birria croissant (it's as good as it sounds), to the fresh baked sour dough, to the delicious coffee. This is my favorite place to visit on cool fall mornings before I walk around Jefferson Park or Sloans Lake. You need to experience it to really understand how good it is!

Very cute café in walking distance from our Airbnb. Friendly neighborhood vibe. My lavender lemonade was also very refreshing after the little pill hike through the park to get here. The ham and cheese croissant and the Birria croissant were so delicious. Our friends found the potato sausage casserole a little dry, but it was still pretty tasty

Amazing bake shop with the cutest desserts that are delicious. The lavender tea left a lasting impression - it was full of flavor!
