When I first moved to Denver in 2017 I used to order take out from here all the time. I've moved farther away since then but recently I'm now closer to here and ordered it last night. It was amazing. I personally love the spice level they use and there is a wide selection of dishes that are also gluten free. This is an amazing family ran place. The price point is great too! My favorite dish is the pangang curry with tofu! I also really love their beef with hot garlic sauce dish as well. I don't usually say this but I truly do recommend people here when they are craving take out, it's totally worth it.

The walnut shrimp are ginormous and so juicy! The drunken noodles are really aromatic and meaty too. The crab Rangoon are actually bursting full of cream cheese! Love this local spot 10/10. I have only ever talked to the owner when he was super friendly so I think Congress Park, privileged white customers are just clueless when it comes to how every kitchen is ran (the yelling they claim offends them)

Solid choice for classic, somewhat greasy, Canto/American cuisine.Every dish I ordered was rather good: Excellent S/S Pork not too greasy and nice crunch. Great fried rice. Vegetarian dishes were actually very good with crisp veggies that tasted fresh. Huge menu for just about any palette.Service is friendly and the kids at the front are really sweet. Peter is a character and very charming.Personally I wouldn't dine in as it is a true Triple D...but for pickup/delivery these guys are aces.Fair pricesNo MSGI will be back.

After literally years of making excuses for not driving a few extra minutes to Peter's, I broke down last week when pondering my dinner options from the Cherry Creek Mall parking lot. They say a picture's worth a thousand words. Maybe so, whoever "they" are.We got takeout. I took no pictures because we were really hungry. This place needs none because what they're doing is is simply ineffable. No one could put into words why we liked the food so much, but we did.Mu shu pork was to die for and isn't common on East Denver or even Aurora menus known to me. Beef lo mein was stellar, notably the beef quality, something often subpar, buried in rice/noodles at many Chinese/Thai joints. Pancakes and egg drop soup were nothing special, but on point.Everyone was friendly and chill. Even though I live a few miles away, I felt the "neighborhood" vibe. The other people waiting seemed at ease and gave warm thanks when their food came out.Peter's fits my vision for Chinese takeout. We'll l happily drive an extra 5 minutes for our new favorite.

Ordered peters for lunch today. Got the Mongolian beef and the sesame chicken both with fried rice. The orders came super quick and they each come with a spring roll and real soy sauce (which i requested). The Mongolian beef was hands down the best I think I've ever had. The beef and bamboo shoots are seared and the grilled smokey flavor enveloped my taste buds. Simply delicious. The sesame chicken was crispy and the sweet and slightly spicy sauce was amazingly flavorful and well balanced. The spring rolls honestly were not my style. I wish they carried a pork or chicken fried egg roll. All in all I would definitely recommend Peters for your lunch or dinner if you're on their delivery area.

Peter's Chinese Cafe is officially our favorite Chinese restaurant in Denver after our first time eating there! Unfortunately, the wonton soup we ordered was not included with the rest of our food when we got home but the meal as a whole, especially the crab cheese wontons, was exceptional and made it easy to forget the lack of soup. I appreciate the crispiness and mild spiciness of their entrees as well. We can't wait to come back!

Pete's Chinese Cafe may have been on the list of Westword Top 100 Restaurants We can't live without, but the dining experience is just a disappointment. The owner was trying to train employees but the way he gone about them including the cursing really was distracting along with him openly criticizing their conduct. It could be the frustration of having young hires with limited work experience, but it's not good presentation. Some may say that he is known for his hospitality, but I didn't see it as he just threw the menu on the table. It could be that he may have been stressed or upset. Considering how I have been to hole-in-the-wall that offer Cambodian, Thai, Laotian,Burmese, Chinese,Indian and even Tibetan Cuisine that deliver quality guest service even on most busy days, don't believe any excuses are allowed for low standards regardless of how long he has been in the profession. It was really off putting to see, especially as a visitor. It didn't help that I see the interior wasn't clean. The waitress took the order quickly and I ordered Pad Thai with chicken. The food was decent for the price but it wasn't the best. The attitude of the owner didn't make me feel welcomed or even wanted there. Compared to Wat Thai of North Hollywood, Thai Noodle King of Bellflower, or even Panvirmarn, the food didn't give me that authentic warmth that came from the meal. After finishing my meal, I paid the bill and just left. I only give a star for the waitress whom was polite, attentive and brought the food quick. Unfortunately with the amount of options in Denver, there's already tons of alternatives available for Asian Cuisine for an affordable price without the possibility of being disrespected. Had I known this would have been my experience, I would have either gone to the Beijing Chinese Cafe on W Colfax or the Pepper Asian Bistro on E Colfax for a better dining experience.

Prices are way higher than listed on their website, including delivery fees and food is way overpriced for what you get. They don't provide you with an itemized receipt, even upon request.
