This is a must for us every Saturday. Yes the food is really good (the only place my toddlers will eat eggs) but what makes it special for our family of five (two toddlers and a newborn) is the service. The staff feels like family. They make my children feel so welcome and greet us so warmly. Really feels like the whole experience is one Southern comfort hug. A place to go when you need a pick-me-up in more ways than one. Some examples of their hospitality: greeting us with hugs and well wishes; noticing I had a baby and giving me (and my two toddlers) gifts the next time they saw me; writing handwritten notes on our takeout when one of us is sick and can't make it in; giving the kids their own biscuits as soon as they sit down to help keep them busy; helping distract the kids if they are a little antsy or fussy; giving the kids candy on their way out the door. We chose the best place to become regulars and we cherish every Saturday morning we spend here!

CASH ONLY. Letting non-local diners know since I don't carry an ATM card myself and luckily the Hubs had the cash or I would have ended up washing dishes! Lol. This is a good old-fashioned diner with many local patrons serving up Southern hospitality at its finest. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with sausage patty, grits (of course) and biscuits. This was my first time I ever tried red eye gravy. Think of it as a savory salty unami flavor similar to coconut amino acids. A light sprinkling of it on grits was perfect. We had not just one fluffy biscuit but two per order! Enough to take home and it still tastes great the next morning. Plus, we tried the fatbacks which are similar to pork rinds. Yum! Our sweet server Tanya poured out the Southern hospitality like molasses over hot cakes! We never had an empty cup of coffee during our breakfast here. We felt so welcome here in Raleigh and here at Pam's. Definitely ask for Tanya if you're visiting here.Parking in the lot.

Back again and this time we had meatloaf with coleslaw and mashed potatoes and tenderloin with mashed potatoes and gravy , fried okra and collards. Oh don't forget the biscuits!Jessica was so kind and a great waitress. We love the country atmosphere here and how clean it is. The tables are cleaned very quickly after a table empties. Note: they close at 2:00 and it is cash only, so be prepared. Good food, great service, good prices. Pam's remains one of our favorite places.

We stopped in for a nice leisurely breakfast. The parking lot was crowded but there was room inside. It has a humble interior, the first thing I noticed were the two ATMs inside. Assumed they take cash only (this was correct!). I got two eggs and tomatoes and the biscuits. Definitely try the biscuits!! They were so outstandingly good. Thankfully we got two per order. One would not have been enough!! The coffee was good. The service was wonderful and the staff cheerful.

I wouldn't even fed pigs with garbage, that they call a food here. I paid 15$ for 2 eggs, 3 slices of tomatoes, uneatable REAL COUNTRY HAM (it was grossly over salted and hard to cut). Biscuits were all right, but the butter they serve is made of water, soybean oil and palm oil. This is the type of food that responsible for americas obesity problem - they are killing their community and making money of it. And when I mention this to elderly lady with hideous haircut at checkout - she got defensive and recommended that I should try to run a place like that. Who does that??? What a terrible terrible place...

Family owned and operated. Cheap, kind grooming. Nothing fancy but as good as possible without stressing out the dogs.

Olde time Raleigh restaurant. It's almost like a cafeteria with food arriving a couple minutes after ordering. My wife loved her BBQ Chicken and we'll plan to go back for breakfast at some point. Always a line waiting but tables turn so fast it's not a long wait.
