I have been going to Osteria for year, originally on Espanola and Washington, then briefly on Collins, but now my favorite location in North Bay Village. The dining room is nice, bar is small but super functional with a TV not disturbing the dining room. Service is always spectacular. I went this time on a Monday for Happy Hour, 4:30-6:00pm M-F and had a delicious calamari frutti, chicken parm with a side of broccoli and potato au gratin! 2 Glasses of Montepuciano!!! EXCELLENT

I'm heart broken! I usually like this restaurant but today was not good, the lunch experience is very different from dinner. Food was average and kind of bad, we order the fried calamari and that was good, my order the bistecca that was average , we order the salmon special to go so we don't how is going to be , the soup that comes with the special was bad very sweet. The restaurant didn't have the right parmesan-cheese to be grater at the table, they only the packaged already grater cheese. Paula our server was a really lady , Yesenia the lady that assisted Paula needs better manners and costumer service, she doesn't know about hospitality. The ambience is nice, good music and beautiful decor. It's a shame today I had such a bad experience.

Overall great food and experience.Good: the food was fresh and delicious, tilapia was really good, melt in your mouth type of good. Calamari was delicious as well. The chocolate cake is a must, delicious and great presentation (see pics). The service was amazing too! We came during the day for lunch and it was perfect as there were only 3 to 4 tables that were occupied.Bad: table bread was pretty bad, but it's complimentary so who cares, right?Summary: great place, doesn't look like much from the outside but once you walk in you will feel like you're in an upscale Italian restaurant.

Although I consider myself to be a little less intimidating, I do agree with Anton Ego in that sometimes the best dish to try is the simplest one from a restaurant.Having taken over Oggi's old location along the 79th Street Causeway, Osteria del Teatro was my dinner spot last night. I'd enjoyed a very active day and with Italian still being my favorite kind of food I wanted to give it a try. I had enjoyed Oggi and remembered Osteria for its original location in South Beach next to the Cameo. But enough of the history lesson!I came in around closing time and was able to snag a table with a view of North Bay Village street life and two TV's. Service, from I believe was the manager, was pretty attentive. I started with a large & well blended bowl of pasta fagioli with plenty of beans and elbow pasta in a hearty stew along with a basket of different breads, garlic sauce, butter & balsamic vinegar. My main was one of the simplest & classic dishes in Italian cuisine - rigatoni & meatballs. Osteria's was a set of 4 juicy meatballs, a generous helping of hearty tomato sauce (augmented with black pepper), pancetta and a creamy serving of Ricotta. My plate was well flavored & generous enough to have lunch leftover for today.Besides portion size, I had to leave space for dessert! I enjoyed their "tulip" pastry crust with a creamy sweet zabayon and plenty of fresh berries. The menu said it was supposed to include affogato but didn't. I guess it may have been an oversight but I did order a latte for some evening caffeine. As I mentioned, it's right on the 79th Street Causeway and super close to Full Moon Beach. It's a nice place for a date night dinner on the way to the beach.

I had heard great things about this restaurant and was lucky enough to visit with a local friend of mine while I was in town. From the moment I walked in, I felt valued. The door was opened for me, and I was immediately greeted by the wait staff. I was impressed and grateful that I was greeted by the owner, who introduced himself as Gilbert. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and welcoming. This was true from the minute I entered until I exited as a very happy and satisfied customer. The restaurant itself was beautiful inside (there are many other photos better than mine on this forum) and the service was impeccable. I had salad followed by penne a la vodka as an entree, and both were exceptional. This is a definite "must visit" destination for dinner when in the area.

Had an amazing experience here! They switched locations and although I've never been to the initial location, this was beautifully set up. They have bar and table options. We sat in the back room which was quaint and everyone was extremely accommodating. When you walk in, you are instantly greeted by friendly staff. We didn't have a reservation but got seated right away. The staff treated us like family and were very attentive. We ordered a bottle of wine to start and they brought a basket of bread. The bread and garlic dipping oil were incredible. We started off by having 2 pasta dishes as our appetizers both fantastic. I then got the champagne chicken which came with potatoes and broccoli. I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing the potatoes were. My friend ordered the lobster pappardelle which was also incredible. My friend ordered the flourless chocolate cake. Since it was my birthday, they sang to me as well. Overall really loved it here!

Another incredible meal at one of our favorite spots in Miami! The new location is amazing (interior renovation is brilliant and parking is much easier).Even better are some of the new menu items. Specifically the crab cakes and pumpkin raviolis are to die for. Honestly some of the best food we have had in a long time. Of course we had to get a couple of the original signature items like Caesar salad and lobster mango avocado Napoleon. Both have unique flavors that are only available here.As always, the service team was on point never letting ask for anything before it magically appeared. Can't wait until our next visit (which will be much sooner with convenience of new location). Very memorable and delicious experience.

It's been a long beat since I last dined at Osteria, back when they had the corner on Washington Ave. Returning with nostalgic family members, other than the location, not too much has changed. First notice, if you're heading in from the west, enter at the driveway signage, the subsequent street corner is more complicated. And, look for the restaurant's dedicated parking spaces in front of the North Bay Village Town Hall.On entry, we were instantly greeted with cordial professionalism. Both manager and host offering welcome and seating us immediately. (We arrived before our reservation time). The cozy casual decor is marked by a giant screen TV - appreciated as the entire dining room was turned and focused on the NFL playoffs. The menu was set for us and still has all the favorites. Water and drinks arrived quickly. Fresh toasted bread and olive oil placed for picking. Our orders taken without delay, Appetizers were served in minutes. A chunky Caesar salad with just the right glaze of dressing; a large grilled tiger shrimp, delivered from its shell; and a lobster meat salad on greens with avocado and mango. Main courses were plated with equal precision. Chicken Parmesan with a side of pasta (squid ink in tomato with a bite of crushed pepper). The chicken was tender, cut with a fork, the breading stayed on, and the cheese was not overpowering. Dessert was the famous tiramisu. Best in South Florida.Service was excellent and focused. A welcome pleasure in a city that usually does not live up to expectations. Overall, an excellent evening. Recommended.

Outstanding food and service. Plenty of free parking available. There is so much to choose on the menu. The food has consistently been great for over 25+ years we have been eating at osteria del teatro. The home made parpadelle astice is so delicious! The chocolate flour less cake is the best dessert I have ever eaten.
