We tried the bar menu at Opus and were not disappointed. The ambiance in the bar was very classy. We started with a spicy Mexican Martini ( my favorite martini). Moving on, we had fried shrimp, French fries, and calamari with sweet and sour dipping sauce. The two bartenders did a great job considering that they had a full bar as well as making drinks for the dining room guests. Had it not been so windy we would have sat outside by the patio fire pit.

The food was great. And the portions are perfect. The key lime pie didn't taste like key lime. But the peanut butter and chocalpie was so good.

Visiting from Phoenix and new to the seafood delicacies of the ocean, we wanted to try different seafood. Opus did NOT disappoint. The restaurant sits near the water where you can see some boats. Formal tables with a casual atmosphere. We started with garlic oysters. Tender oysters smothered in garlic and Parmesan cheese were delectable. We ordered the Red Snapper for our entree. Tender, flaky, covered in sauce. It was absolutely delicious. We fell in love. First time for both dishes. Opus showed us how to love oysters and Red Snapper. Thank you! It was an amazing dinner.

Location is tucked away in the clear lake shores marina. We came for my sister's birthday as a party of 8. Our server was down to earth. They were out of the one thing my little one wanted-mashed potatoes. This was a disappointment, but he made due with the twice baked potato instead. Our table shared oysters, tuna tartare, calamari, and jalapeño shrimp as appetizers. The tuna was probably the best of these. The table bread served in a white lunch sack was hard. Leave that alone. I indulged in two naughty coconut cocktails-delicious! I would've had more if I could've. The SHRIMP AND SCALLOP AU POIVRE was good, but on the heavier side. I ended up eating the seafood and veggies and left the angel hair alone. The bill came before we could order dessert. So we paid and ordered vanilla bean ice cream with bread pudding (since they didn't have crème brûlée). All-in-all, the ambiance and location are romantic. The food is pretty average considering we're on the gulf and seafood is offered nearly everywhere. I'd come back for drinks and a view.

I had the bodin (SP?) Benedict which came with hash browns, also had a Bloody Mary as well. Over all it was a bit underwhelming from food to service. Not to say anything wasn't good just felt like it could have been a bit better. For example, the bodin Benedict was really good, but they paired it with this mediocre at best hash browns. The staff made an error with one order at the table and don't fix it until after the other person had finished the plate given to them(ordered shrimp and grits and got shrimp with rice), they didn't want to be a bother. The plus is they caught it late and did fix it, so that's a plus. If I could I'd rate this more of a three and half stars if I could. I would give them another shot because it has potential.

We love Opus. They have great options for weekday lunch, like the crab grilled cheese, for weekend brunch, like the boudin Benedict and shrimp and grits. Ev has thing we have had here has been very good (except the bbq shrimp which is messy and underwhelming). Lovely views of the boats at the marina and piano music upstairs during dinner is great. Highly recommend the espresso martini! Drawback is that service tends to be very slow. It is nice to not rush through but any visit tends to be long with a lot of waiting around. This must be an intentional situation so just prepare for service to take a long time and just enjoy the visit. Service is always great and the staff is always good with their recommendations. Stay away from the white chocolate bread pudding! It is dangerous and will leave you wanting more.

Horrible customer service! We had to ask 3 times for water and twice for salt and pepper. When we first got there we stood for 15 mins before anyone even address us to be seated. Don't get me wrong the scenery is beautiful! But the food no no no! I got Rockafella Oysters and they offered no bread or crackers. My Red potatoes were not fully cooked, they were hard! The crab fingers were good though. The drinks were really good. I think this place should be a social lounge and don't offer food unless it's finger food. The green beans was really good and well seasoned. My Maui Maui fish was cooked and seasoned really good with the shrimps. They don't offer sides, which I have never heard of that before. But I would never go here again.

What a wonderful experience my husband and I had when we chose to eat dinner here! We had reservations for 7:00 on a Friday evening, we arrived a little early and were seated promptly. The ambiance was very nice, because of the small space inside it was a bit loud. The weather was threatening to be stormy, so everyone was inside, however there is seating outside both downstairs and from what I could tell upstairs as well. I could see that there would be amazing views overlooking the marina. There is a vast wine list as well as pretty much a full service bar. I ordered a glass of Riesling and my hubby ordered tea to get started. We decided to forgo appetizers and ordered a salad and soup instead. I ordered the Spinach Salad and my husband opted for the lobster bisque. The spinach salad was fresh and the dressing (which is made in house) was very good. My husband said that the bisque was very nice and had good sized pieces of lobster throughout. For our entrees I ordered the stuffed flounder with Parmesan roasted potatoes and green beans. The hubby ordered the surf and turf which consisted of an 8 oz filet mignon and a lobster tail along with green beans and Parmesan roasted potatoes. When our plates arrived everything looked amazing. There was a slight mix up, I received sautéed spinach instead of the green beans, but that was fine as I like spinach as well. Hubby's lobster tail was cooked to perfection, the filet was a little rare. He didn't send it back as he was pretty full already, and knew that the issue could be resolved once we got home. We ordered the white chocolate bread pudding and the key lime pie to go. Although there were a few missteps we enjoyed the evening and the experience. Beaux was a very attentive waiter and we appreciated his explanations of the specials. We will definitely be back.

This place is one of the best local establishments I've been to. Food is GREAT, drinks are fabulous, especially the "Old Fashion" made with the local Barrel aging, you can't get a better Old Fashion. Staff is super friendly, on top of the job and delightful to be in the same building with, very pleasant people.I come here every now and then and I am never disappointed. Great place.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! I place this above Perry's and above Tommy's. The restaurant is pretty, service impeccable, but the food! Oh my! Have only had brunch here, but am planning on having dinner here soon. The Crab Cakes Benedict are so yummy, and I had one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had. Run don't walk!
