We tried this restaurant for breakfast during our transit at the Atlanta airport. We were seated right away. They have quality food at this place We ordered the Avocado toast. Instead of fried egg, I got scrambled eggs. It was delicious. We also ordered steak and eggs and they were equally good. Steak comes with scrambled eggs and potatoes. See photos of the food below. Our bill was $76 but it was worth it because service was excellent. I will try this place again for lunch next time.

I had high hopes for this spot after seeing the reviews and seeing how many people were waiting to get a table, but I was definitely let down.Service: Friendly but SLOW. Unfortunately, our server also kept forgetting to bring stuff to our table like the drink we ordered, a sushi roll and our check. Food: Expensive and not worth the price. The Pork & Potstickers was served in a lukewarm broth and the fried pot stickers where just soggy and unappetizing. The fried pork belly was also cold. My husband enjoyed his Salmon Curry, but the salmon avocado roll was very mid for the price. I would not return & def recommend saving your money and eating elsewhere in the airport.

The reviews don't lie. One Flew South is definitely a five-star restaurant in my book.Let's begin as to why, along with the many other parts of this story. As it turns out, we were in the Atlanta airport. We were flying out at nearly 10 PM in the evening, so dinner was definitely a necessity. As I scoured the airport's website to learn about all the food options, I also would search them up on both Google and Yelp. When I landed on One Flew South, my decision was made. It also helped that my companion who flies like crazy and knows all the restaurants in the airport did not object. In retrospect, he deemed this restaurant average, but it likely rose after our dinner experience there. I'll explain. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were sat within five minutes. This seems to be an exception to the rule. Typically this restaurant has a long wait as evidenced by both reviews and by our very own eyes. We seemed to have beaten the rush, as when we left, people were in line, hoping to grab our table. So, lesson in all this is... Go when you're not in a rush. We weren't at all and it worked out heavenly for us. Anyhow, we were sat and attended by Edith. Edith was a real sweetheart. Her bubbly personality just made us excited to be there and made what was coming somewhat bearable: a 16+ hour flight to Johannesburg, South Africa.I will also say that the customers around us added to that. The space is small, so the tables are quite close. You'll soon enough make friends with your neighbors. At any rate, we ordered wine and beer respectively to begin our meal. Edith read us the specials and I chose one rather than choosing stuff from the menu. I believe my special was the Sorrano roll (spelling may or may not be correct). It contained cream cheese, wontons, and shrimp. It was downright delicious, not heavy at all as I feared. I wanted something light given the long flight. Had that not been the case, I'd have opted for their ramen instead. My companion chose a steak and they actually properly cooked it, so he was happy. As for dessert, I debated hard and finally ordered one as I spoke to my neighbors who had indeed ordered one. Well, the dessert was not something I typically would order (seems to be a theme with this restaurant as the sushi roll is another example of this). It was a rice pudding with bourbon glaze and it was shockingly tasty. Usually I hate rice pudding as the texture is off, but here it was perfect.Suffice to say I think I'm saddened I'm not flying through Atlanta again anytime soon. This restaurant is definitely worth it.

One Flew South (OFS) is an upscale dining experience known for its fusion of Southern and Japanese cuisines. They have locations at Concourse E of Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and on the Atlanta Beltline - Eastside Trail. OFS was nominated for a James Beard Award for Outstanding Service in 2014 and 2015 and is widely regarded as one of the best airport restaurants. OFS has an enclosed patio facing the Concourse for prime people watching. However, walking in the interior makes you feel like you are in a serene forest a world away from the world's busiest airport. Customer service is always strong and the dishes came out quickly as completed. I have eaten at both locations numerous times. During my most recent visit, I ordered the Curry Cauliflower Soup, Tuna Jerky, Hamachi Roll, and Pretty Brown Eyes.Pretty Brown Eyes is a cocktail made with 1792 Bourbon, Benedictine, lemon, and red wine float. It was well balanced and I will be walking to Concourse E to have it again. The Curry Cauliflower Soup lacked flavor, although I appreciated the soup's thickness and the chickpeas serving as needed texture. I enjoyed OFS's take on Tuna Jerky, as you could taste the soy, ginger, garlic and other seasoning. The serrano tzatziki sauce was a great creamy compliment to the flash-fried protein and had a subtle kick and tang. The Hamachi Roll is an example of how quality proteins can speak for themselves in dishes. I loved the buttery hamachi, paired with roe and shallots, which were present but did not overwhelm the hamachi. The serrano tzatziki sauce made a welcome return to the meal. I prefer to walk up to an airport gate as my boarding group is called. So if I am traveling alone and have time to spare, I look forward to the walk to Concourse E to experience OFS. It is a great way to begin a vacation or business trip!

The food was amazing! So nice to have the choice while in the airport waiting for our flight to Spain. Our server was great. We'll have to stop in on our way back. It was nice to enjoy a delicious meal with less of the airport hectic ness. It's was nice & relaxing.Monique was an amazing server.

Hamachi hand roll: there's only one but pretty tasty. I'm not quite sure what the flavoring sauce was, maybe a tangy aioli.Ramen: huge bowl, though I think the bowl is a little oversized and looks a bit deceiving. The actual noodles were a little overcooked. Granted I did wait a couple minutes finishing my roll first but I think it was still a bit overdone when it arrived. I prefer the egg jammy but they executed the hard boil well and didn't over cook as many people do and it has good flavoring. I can't quite put my finger on what the broth is but I think a standard shoyu plus the pork belly and kale gives it a different and somewhat mild flavor.

One flew over is a solid 4. Very close to 5. The servers yesterday was the reason for 4. They just couldn't smile. I know days can be hard but I was being very friendly. The line goes quickly when waiting for a table. The ambiance is very nice especially for an airport. Makes you feel like you're not in the hussle of ATL airport. My collard green ramen was very good. Slightly overly salty but good!! My shishito peppers were absolutely delicious! So good! I would most definitely recommend and come back.

I was on the cusp of regretting having to depart from the notoriously BIG (hehe) ATL airport when upon my arrival at Terminal E, I encountered this gem. If you want the chill of the Delta Sky Club paired with epicurean eats and bar menu this is it. My server graciously changed my mind from ordering a spicy tuna roll and salad. Instead I chose her recommendation of poke tacos and the Salmon entree. Delivery to the table was spaced enough to allow me to enjoy my appetizer without rush and well before my main meal arrived. This restaurant satisfied my need for boujie self-love today (as in this is a $$$ place to eat and well worth it)!

What's this, real food at the airport? Well, I'll be! The host was extremely accommodating with our fickle group on 4-8 people (a lot of flip-flopping on where to eat) & I'm sure glad I rolled the dice. Perfectly poached eggs, balanced beverages & just solid all-around dishes with great service. Skip the fast food joints, trust

There's nothing sexier than a 6 hour layover in ATL E terminal with zero lounge access! Enter: One Flew South. I was starving and looking for a good option where I could both work and eat somewhere somewhat quiet, and One Flew South is really the only option that meets that need. I enjoyed an excellent BLT since I wasn't really in the mood for sushi, though I took a look at everyone else's sushi and it looked really delicious. Don't skip the FRIES?! The fries at the fish place. Don't skip.I know there's a storied history behind OFS landing here and I am SO glad to have this great dining option in this very busy airport. Every staff member here was friendly and provided prompt service. Enjoy and safe travels!
