Definitely overpriced for what you get in terms of quantity and quality. We started out with the charcuterie board ($12), which consisted of 4 slices of prepackaged deli meat, 2 triangles of brie, 1 slice of gouda, and a pinch of sliced almonds - all of these items looked like they came right out of HEB. "Fruits" is one sliced strawberry. Quite honestly a joke given this is a restaurant with a focus on wine...The vine curry chicken was more of a spicy, spiced tomato soup with rice. The house salad was depressing with more pre-packaged looking items. The Spanish seafood paella is $22 and consists of yellow rice that somehow smells incredible but tastes like it might just be yellow food colored rice. The margarita pasta was so bland that we poured sauce from the brussel sprouts into it to make it edible - the brussel sprouts were tiny and shriveled up, so the only good part about them was the sauce. There are much much better places in Houston that will serve you great wine AND food, so don't settle on coming here. You'll pay too much and be greatly disappointed.

Horrible! If you value your time, DONT GO. I walked in ordered, was told 10-15 minutes..... I thought ok 6 turkey sandwiches... fast forward 55 minutes later!!!! 6 sandwiches with 2 pieces of bread and a piece of turkey! WHAT THE??? This had to either be deliberate (doubt that) or incompetence (that sounds likely). Everyone there was upset and the wait! Don't know if they saw there food when they got home! Take a look at my sad sandwich! Never Again!

Off the Vine Bistro and Wine Bar is located just a block northeast of Hwy 6 in Missouri City. This cozy little wine bar is like a home away from home. It's the perfect place to enjoy a Save & Exit glass of wine and good eats with family and friends.Off the Vine Bistro is family owned - and that is very clear the moment you walk through the door. Every time I visit, I am always greeted with a large smile and welcoming conversation. I highly recommend you ask your server to find out what they recommend pairing with your vittles. They will not steer you wrong. And that's a fact! You'll always find scratch cooking here at Off the Vine Bistro. Their home-grown spices, along with locally-sourced and produced food, are the perfect recipe for a delightful dish. If you like fresh, then you need to come and see what fresh tastes like. For real!Off the Vine Bistro and Wine Bar is so much more than a place to get a wonderful meal - they also offer cooking classes and wine-paired dinners once a month. I like that!If you are looking for a place to kick back and finish off your week, their Sunday Brunch has healthy, flavorful options with carefully-selected ingredients for palates with food restrictions and allergies. This is definitely a designation for those who need to pay attention to what they eat.If you love live music, then I am about to add another layer to this cake. They have live music every Saturday night - brought to you by local community performers in a variety of different genres: jazz, rock 'n roll and pop covers. A good time to be had by all! Now, if you have been following me for any length of time, then you know I can't visit a wine bar without ordering up a Charcuterie & Cheese Board... it would just be sacrilegious! Right? So, that is exactly what I did! Our gracious server paired this piece of art with a Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara - one of my favorites with a beautiful floral and mineral character typical of Santa Barbara Pinot Noir. I instantly had a smile from ear to ear!The Hangover Fries caught my attention as I was thinking about all the pairing I'd be doing that evening. Maybe I should just take them to go... tomorrow would be coming waaay to soon! Ha!The House Chips were piled high with onions, tomato, cilantro, grated cheese, sour cream and grilled chicken - the perfect medicine for a sour stomach after a long night of leisure and laughter. The combination of flavors is something else! The menu is all so good, but you gotta try these potato sticks with a blanket of naturally-sourced love! The Appetizer Sampler Plate is another must-try here at Off the Vine Bistro and Wine Bar. You get to pick any 4 appetizers (half portions). We chose the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp (of course), Lettuce Wraps, Spiced Meatballs and Mama's Spiced Chicken Bites. Wow! The spread was beautiful. I thought I would try a selection of apps and then I'd know exactly what to order the next time around- turned out I wasn't any better off than I was when I started. Everything was just so good! I think I will just have to order the sampler again. I suggest you do the same.Another favorite of mine is the Summer Sausage Flatbread. This flat bread was carefully crafted with Summer Sausage slices, cheese, apples, onions and fennel. This sandwich is a great option if you are looking for something light. You get a mouthful of crispy crust in the first bite and then you taste the sausage, cheese and apple combination that just pulls it all together. Now, I have a soft spot for a nice Cuban Sandwich, so when I noticed it on the menu I had to try it. This pressed sandwich was covered with smoked ham, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles. We cut it up to share with the group, but I figured out right away that this was a mistake; I have been thinking about that outstanding sandwich ever since. The mustard and pickles gave that excellent accent to the smokiness in the ham. This sandwich might be my favorite of the day... it's just too hard to say. But, do try! And, just when I thought I couldn't eat another bite, two desserts showed up! Not a surprise... my friends have just as big a sweet tooth as I do. I never turn down a sweet, sweet, decadent dessert - don't ya know?My love of Chocolate Cake started as an infant. My first cake was a Triple-Decker Chocolate Castle. I gotta say, this dark hunk of sweetness brought me back to when times were a little simpler. This Chocolate Cake slice with Chocolate Filling and Chocolate Ganache took me to chocolate heaven! What an Ahhmazing experience here at Off the Vine Bistro and Wine Bar. You walk in as a customer and leave as a part of the family. Don't be shy to ask the owner Namita about her spices and recipes - she has a wealth of knowledge and is eager to share. I am so happy I found this little gem in in Missouri City... and even happier that I can share it with you! Enjoy!

Casual and quaint bistro in a plaza that shares it's parking spaces with several other tenants. This bistro and wine bar is hidden and not in a very good spot...that can potentially hinder business. As my friend and I made a visit for Sunday brunch, we noticed that it was quiet...too quiet. As the only patrons, I began to ponder the situation for such a local business that aims to deliver food that they promote as farm to table. The service was very laid back and friendly. We opted for the salmon omelette with 2 sides of our choice being bacon and home fries ($14), and also a turkey bacon sandwich sandwich ($12). Our entrees arrived shortly and we were ready to dig in.The salmon omelette was delectable, with perfectly cooked salmon inside a fluffy egg and paired with a good portion of home fries. The home fries were very good as well, as the sautéed onions and peppers made the flavor pop. The bacon was the highlight though- very well done as I like my bacon crisp and not soggy. The smoked turkey bacon sandwich was mediocre at best but the side of french fries were tasty and crisp. The sandwich bread itself was a good wheat bread as requested and the cranberry/avocado combo inside was interesting...not something I'd normally put together. The turkey meat was the disappointment, as it had an awkward taste, almost like a metallic taste. It was just so strange that I couldn't do with it after a few bites that I removed it from the bread and just ate the sandwich sans turkey. It also had a hole-y consistency...not sure what's up with that. The dining room remained rather lifeless during the time we were there and I wished that there were more customers to make the place a little more lively. The wine bar looks cute and there is so much potential in this concept. I think it would help if they could promote their farm to table concept more and list where they source their ingredients from as well as collaborating with local farmers to present dinners. I would order the omelette again upon return for future brunches and am interested in the wine dinners because the pairings seem fun.

We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere but it's a bit overpriced. Half a bottle of wine cost $20 and the bacon wrapped dates, while great, were on the small side for a $9 appetizer. The staff could've been more attentive. We sat with empty plates and glasses for twenty minutes. The food and wine were delicious enough to give it another chance soon.

If you didn't know this little cafe was there you would miss it, tucked in the corner of a strip shopping center. Wine selection is great. Food wise they have something for everyone from small shareable plates to main courses. We tried the buffalo burger w lots of fresh toppings, the caprese sandwich w raspberry jam on it and a pasta dish that was the winner of the night! Will definitely go again. Meet the owner who was super nice and explained their monthly 7 course wine pairing dinners.

Bacon Wrapped Dates are an unexpected delicious little treat. They're savory and sweet! The bacon is salty and pairs perfectly with the feta cheese and sweetness of the dates. The bacon could be cooked more thoroughly. Lamb gyro flatbread is flavorful and tender. The kale is cooked to perfection and still has a crunch. The feta cheese adds a nice salty flavor. The service and cook are amazing! This is a cozy bistro, that feels like home.

We had a lovely time in one of the private rooms at the tasting room at Off The Vine Bistro recently. The owner, Namita, accommodated a group of 11 of us on a fairly short notice to celebrate a couple of friends birthdays! The appetizers, main and desserts were all fantastic but it was the service and warm welcoming atmosphere that made the evening more special for us!
