Food: blackened white fish with dirty rice & cabbage, jerk chicken with rice, cabbage & plantains (both plates 5/5) We also shared a beef patty, 5/5Food was excellent, well seasoned and portions large. Worth the 30 min drive. Service: not the best and not the worse but it wouldn't stop us from returning for the food

This place is awesome! I've been to the Houston location many times and this is the first time to Richmond! The food is unique and delicious! You won't do wrong coming here. Portions are huge! Expect big taste (no pressure Vic)! A great chef and tasty food! If you like spice you're coming to the right place! One of my faves!

We ordered the food and went to pick it up. Maybe it was because the lady that was working was by herself but she had a standoffish attitude to everyone that came in. The food was a little salty to me. We love Jamaican food and eat it from several other places. It was also to me a little more expensive than what we're used to paying for a period I follow them on Instagram and always wanted to try the food. It had a great Vibe though. It looks like it may turn into a club at night which I would definitely not mind coming back to. Definitely had a great Caribbean Jamaican vibe. Have also been to the other location and although it's the smaller of the two the service was so much better and they offered a drink which made me end up buying 4.

Dine in or order out. Lots of flavored lemonade and tea options. Fish, salmon, baked potatoes, étouffée, gumbo, pasta, oxtails, wings and of course the Jamaican cuisine! Curry goat, chicken/beef/veggie patties, curry and stewed chicken, oxtails, lamb, jerk everything! Dont forget the sides, coco bread and DG ginger beer. The family enjoyed it. Cant wait to try the veggie patties, they were all out today.

I don't know WHY I keep trying to give these people a second chance. At this time, it is a 4th or 5th chance. I actually saw the owner of the restaurant in HEB one day buying out all the oxtail and chicken. I wanted to go up to him and give him some constructive criticism but he was talking to another customer who recognized him so I just left. Let me just point out the positives............when you ask them to do what they should ALREADY do, they do it. For example, I love thier yams! They are so good but for $5.99 they give you like 4 pieces drowned in syrup. So I have to tell them to fill it up to the top. I'm paying more than what a can of yams cost!!!!. You should be raking in the dough. So anyways, I was craving curry chicken and I remember I used to love this place and thought maybe they had gotten better. I thought this because they have received a lot of criticism on thier food. Also, it's hard for me to cook for myself. Even though I am a classically trained chef before I became a nurse leader I can cook something today and not want it tomorrow, also with weight loss surgery I can only eat a few bites. So I end up feeding the feral cats in our community, wrapping it up and giving to a friend or coworker ot putting it into the freezer until I want it again so I eat out a lot but mostly soup or a couple of breadsticks. Okay, back to the review. I ordered the curry chicken that comes with rice and beans, fried plantain (two small pieces, they should be ashamed of themselves) and cabbage. All of the food was unbearable salty and tasted old like reheated from the previous day. There was no potatoes in the curry chicken like the description said. They filled the yams with more of the syrup. I threw it all away and thought of something else to eat and just decided on cereal. While I was eating cereal I decided to call the restaurant. I let them know thier food was nothing but a salt lick. Aren't deers the animals who need salt kicks, lol. I could find a deer who would eat that salty mess. The rice barely had beans, and the passionfruit lemonade i love yasted really stale. They offered for me to come in for a refund. I refused. Use that money to buy Caribbean spices besides salt. Salt is a flavor enhancer. In the culinary world we don't call it seasoning. If it was undersalted it would be better because I could add a little salt. Sigh, as a Caribbean woman it really does suck to eat terrible Caribbean food. There is actually no good Caribbean food in Houston. No more chances.

Those Oxtails are everything. The portions are plentiful and I enjoyed all the suggestions made by Danielle. This place would also make for a great event space. Peach lemonade was refreshing and tasty.

I ordered from here the 1st time and should have tried this place a long time ago!! The fact that it is very close to the neighborhood is an added bonus! Chicken is falling off the bone, tender, and seasoned perfectly. I'm not a cabbage fan, but I LOVE this version. Not mushy and seasoned with the perfect amount of spice. I will definitely vist again!

I came here looking for Jamaican food and left disappointed. Not only were they out of curry goat, but we were told that there was only 1 serving left of rice & peas. I found out that their version of rice and peas is more like red beans & rice. Huge let down. The jerk chicken was mediocre and it came with a side of some type of bbq sauce. Never had bbq sauce on my jerk chicken in Jamaica. Oxtails were decent, but without real rice and peas, they weren't very satisfying. They do have large portions, but I'd rather have small portions of good food than large portions of disappointment. Maybe their creole food is better. Guess I'll never know. I guess I'll cook Jamaican food at home next time because I won't come back here.

Went on a random Saturday. No one was there besides my 2 friends and another couple. Took a whole hour for our food to be ready. Everything tasted fresh so I'm guessing that's why it took longer. Food was nonetheless good.
