North Lake Grill

We were a very large group of ladies for lunch so their usual system was strained to take our orders and for us to pay. But they did get it done. I ordered their Bikini burger (which is wrapped in lettuce). The burger was okay but it would have been better if iceberg lettuce was used instead of romaine. The fries were also okay. The service was good. They did give us all a free serving of Mixed Berry cobbler. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. This is a good place for folks who live in the Willis area but I am reluctant to drive over 30 minutes for just okay food.

Had a patty melt and fries last time. So good we had to come back. And this time had the brisket and it is top notch. The coleslaw is the best and his beans OMG! Right on the lake so beautiful setting -y'all need to try this place!! Owner is very personable and right on top of everything! Support small businesses!

Holy moly! How have I just heard of this place?!? We live in a great little community (TX Grand Ranch) with not many dining options nearby. one of our neighbors found this little gem and made a mention on our community Facebook page, so we stopped by tonight to give it a try! Now I plan on shouting out recommendations from the rooftops! What a great find! Cozy, casual atmosphere, awesome owner and DELICIOUS grinds! I had the shrimp tacos and hubs had the Hawaiian burger. Both amazing! Did I mention the bbq brisket baked beans??? Yeah, we'll be back!

My grand daughter and I stopped in here for some crawfish and I was surprised how busy they were and how good the food was. My only complaint is they need tables with chairs indoors instead of all picnic tables for seniors who have some mobility issues. We sat outside and it was very nice to sit watching the water. The menu is pretty large and the food came out hot and quickly. I will go again.

Casual and authentic local vibe. Nice people and good food. Sometimes even live music and the location on the water is perfect.

What a lovely little discovery. Travis clearly puts a lot of love and care into his space and his food. You couldn't ask for a better view either! As you savor the incredible brisket, pulled pork, fish & chips, patty melt, homemade brownies that are to die for, or the warm and delicious peach cobbler, you have a crystal clear view of Lake Conroe. Not a whole lot going on in this sleepy little town, but the hidden gem is one hundred percent worth a peek.

We live in April Sound and love getting away to the north side of the lake, driving through the national Forest and stopping at North Lake Grill for some of the best food on the lake. Every visit we try something new. Everything has been very good. The brisket is melt in your mouth. Just a Week after oral surgery and my husband has been able to eat it....all of it. See photo.The patty melt is a generous serving of the best I've ever had. I also love the redfish when it's available! Quaint, clean, with a great view of the lake, as well as the sunset. Definitely worth the drive...

TLDR: Adequate. Visit: Weekend (lunch)Service:8.1/10The lady taking orders was friendly and assisted as well. Order:-Texas Twisters (jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and brisket, topped with bacon) 3.6/10This was recommended by the nice lady at the register taking my order... however what I got was utterly disappointing. Cold... room temperature to be exact. Ample stuffing with some sort of bone shard in one of the pieces? The flavor was ok. Nothing wrong. However, the sheer fact that it felt like they put this together in the morning and let it sit on the counter all day until I ordered it in the afternoon was a huge let down. Cold food is a pet peeve of mine so this was frustrating. -Bikini Burger 7.2/10Standard bun-less burger. Likely a bought in patty that at the very least came out fresh and hot. It'll get the job done. No complaints. Mehhhhh if you're in the area and don't wanna drive further out of convenience, this will do the trick. Otherwise, I wouldn't ever go out of my way to eat here.

I'd give zero stars if I could. Sign said open till 7 thur through Sat. Sign on door said open. We walked in at 6:40 Thursday. No staff at counter. Manager walked past us after a couple minutes, ignored us and went to talk to a table of customers. After a few more minutes walked back to us, told us the kitchen was closed and he'd see us next time. No explanation of why we couldn't be served. Attitude was very insincere and dismissive. I'll never give them another shot and suggest others avoid as well. If you are closed, then put out a sign. If you are open till 7, then be open till 7.

Best patty melt I've had and the onion rings were crispy and delicious. Service is great, and we get a neighborhood discount which is nice. They're close by, so food is hot if we bring it home.
