Mmmm... I'm always sus when a restaurant doesn't have prices listed on their menu. They've been open for over a year now, so I can't imagine why they don't have prices listed other than to deceive customers. It was my first time here, so I asked the worker/owner what appetizers they recommended. I also made sure to speak in viet so that she knew I was familiar with viet food. She recommended the spring rolls, which I thought was an interesting recommendation.I also ordered the banh hoi heo quay, but she served me banh hoi heo quay + nem nuong (and charged me for the more expensive option). Also ordered the bun rieu, but she served me bun rieu dac biet (and charged me for the more expensive option, lol). Mid-meal, she suggested a lemongrass kumquat drink, which she claimed was "really good" lol.Ultimately, the food was average, but I def felt like she pulled a fast one on me because of lack of pricing on the menu and she thought I didn't know my viet foods. - Lemon grass kumquat $5.95 - refreshing, but really sweet. empty calories imo - Battered chicken wings $12.95 - fresh off the fryer, but lacked seasoning. I needed to dip this into the sriracha for remotely any flavor. It would have helped to have salt and pepper at least. - Bun rieu dac biet $14.95 (which I did NOT order) - I LOVE bun rieu and this was probably the worst bun rieu I've ever had. It was lacking the umami flavor and toppings. super disappointing- Banh hoi heo quay nem nuong $17.95 (also which I did NOT order) - veggies, vermicelli, and meat were good, but there was such little meat. I would've been better off not ordering this. I basically paid for noodles and veggies lol. With many other places in the area, I won't be back.

PERFECT FOR NIGHT OWLS! I was so excited to try this place, especially since finding out they close at 2am. Came here at midnight on a Friday and it was still so lively. The owner and servers were all so nice. We ordered scallops and coconut snails. The coconut snails were tasty and meaty. I loved the coconut sauce. On the other hand, the scallops looked promising but were dry. A nice sauce would've helped tie all the flavors together on the scallops. Although I only tried 2 dishes, I can't wait to come back to try other dishes, such as the bánh bột chiên or pork belly and noodles.

I was a little hesitant to stop by because I wasn't sure if they would actually have good food or if they were just trying to draw in the late night drinking crowd for business. However, their menu seemed unique and I was craving seafood so I stopped by on a Monday evening with a friend. The menu is a little cryptic as there are no prices at all and some items are only listed in vietnamese and without an english translation. Luckily, my friend is vietnamese and was able to translate some dishes for me.Banh bot chien - 3.5/5 This was a decent rice cake pancake but not the best I've had. I don't believe this dish was even on the menu, we just asked for it as we saw a picture of it on yelpRoasted pork rice noodle - 4.5/5 The roast pork is very crispy and we ordered the extra nem nuong on the side. Wool snail in coconut - 4/5 It's a little challenging to eat but has good flavorMussel with rice pancake - 5/5 I believe this is more like a baby clam dish. I had this once at another restaurant in Houston and this one is soo much better. The clam/mussel was stir fried and had a lot of flavorOverall, the portions were pretty good and we didn't finish all of our food. I was a little scared of how much our bill was going to be as there are no prices at all listed and late night spots have a reputation for inflating their prices. Our bill came out to be about $80 including tax which is about standard for the seafood dishes we had. The restaurant also appears to be BYOB and has karaoke as well. If you're looking for a place with good drinking/snack food and both late night/early hours to hang out with some drinks, this would be a good spot to stop by!

Noodle Hot Pot is in a random plaza off Bellaire. I'm not too familiar with the area but it was easy to find. Decor was interesting when you go inside and there's a small karaoke thing in the corner though no one was using it. It was just my party and one other on a Saturday night. My partner and I shared the pork belly noodles and split the scallops dish with my table of 5. I really liked the pork belly--very crispy! As with most places I usually run out of lettuce with my meal. I didn't try to ask for more so not sure if it'd be complimentary. I also liked their sausage, typically I'm not a fan but this one tasted different for whatever reason, but is on the sweeter side. I liked the scallops too, though it seemed small. Never had the dish before but it includes quail eggs which kind of overtook the small scallops. Some of the menu photos posted here are a little dated. Was hoping to try the egg custard coffee but their coffees reduced down to 3 items and custard wasn't an option ):

Coming back to the States on a late flight, I was lokking for some hot noodle soup, but unfortunately those places closed early on a Sunday. I was glad to find out Noodle Hot Pot was still open on the Viet side of Bellaire. The menu was quite extensive, inclusive of snail dishes and other standard Viet fares. I opted for Canh Bun Special, which is similar to Bun Rieu but had some unique differences. My friend had some balut eggs.Canh Bun was alright. The broth was passable, and the toppings were nothing to write home about. I'm used to more veggies in Canh Bun, and they only had water spinach in there. The noodle was on the too al dente point for me - usually it should be softer.Another down point was the service. I think the restaurant was short staffed, but it was still extremely slow and quite disorganized. There were a few occasions where the kitchen staff brought out items and just point blank asking which table has ordered the dish... we ended up spending 1.5 hours here for the food, when it should have taken just 30 minutes max.Overall, would I come back? Probably not, unfortunately.

Sometimes you need to grab your sister and go out to eat at 12am. Sometimes you need a real meal. The drive thru isn't cutting it. Walk into a place you've never been before and try something new. This is how it went for us:Super friendly service!!! I am pretty sure the manager was confused seeing us walk in at midnight ready to throw down. Two tan Hispanic girls walking into a very Viet restaurant. The workers were all friendly and polite as we walked in they were preforming karaoke and enjoying some delicious food. That is always a good sign when the employees eat from the establishment!!!!! I honestly couldn't tell you the name of everything we ate, but nothing disappointed us!!! The pho was amazing !! They had this make your know spring rolls entree that was a lot of fun! They had delicious freshly made milk tea and lemonade with kumquat!! Fresh kumquat's!!! Tons of fragrant herbs, fresh lime, delicious house made sauces, and tender meat!!!! My sister has a severe shellfish allergy and the manager I assume went over what was in everything. I pointed at a few of the items after he described them and told her "don't eat you'll die" and he laughed with us. There was a little bit of a language barrier on some things, but my sister actually knows to read a little viet so she was able to see what dishes were pork or chicken. If you eat chicken feet please come try them here! They are fried crispy w a side of a salt, pepper, sugar mixture, and a squeeze of fresh like juice. I've never had crispy chicken feet before. We've always had them braised in a sweet sauce with anise. It was a lovely treat!!! We are so looking forward to coming back here!! Idk how else to say "that h*e was good!!!"

Would not return, i came here a few months ago... not sure if anything's changed but when i was there, the menu did not have any prices on there. Saw a few pic of such menu on yelp and thought that was weird.. should've been a red flag. In today's economy, i kindda want to know how much my food was going to cost before i order it. So i asked the owner/employee (she was the only one there) if she have a menu with the prices on them. She said she'll go look for it... what do you mean?! Itsn't it normal to those abundantly laying around?! I mean if i was at those fancy Nancy restaurant when i know it's gonna cost a kidney to dine at.. then it's more understandable to not see the prices on the menu...but this place was not it... She came to take my order before bringing out the menu. and suggested the roasted pork noodle platter. At that time I've already asked for the menu a couple more time. Should've just gotten up and leave, but your girls as hungry. So i ordered that. Nothing spectacular, your typical roasted pork, banh hoi, cha. Easy to put together at home if you're not lazy, but if you dont wanna make it yourself... then i guess this place will pass for decent. She also recommend the peach tea. It was their place popular drink. I asked for half sweet, and owner/server said they don't make their drinks too sweet. So it's fine as is.... Fine. It was indeed not fine. It was diabetic sweet. I didn't wanna waste my money, so i took a few more sips, but felt like it's not worth risking my health for it... so i end up tossing it. AFTER the food was brought out... the owners/server came out with a little printed receipt to show me HOW MUCH MY FOOD COSTS (THIS WAS THEIR IDEA OF MENU W/A PRICE ON IT!!) I've already ordered! I can't remember how much it was but more then i wanted to pay. I'm not sure what's gotten into me that day, but i was just going along with everything. When i should've gotten up and left... I hope this lengthy review could help steer some of you away from this place. It's just not a good business practice...shady imo. Also the whole time i was there.... Flies were surrounding me. A few hours after my meal here, I also got diarrhea... it was not fun. But this happened probs nov-dec of last year, and finally got a chance to sit down to write my review. I'm not sure if anything's changed since then. Just beware when you come here to eat.
