I've been there times now, so I feel like I have a good enough basis to drop a solid review. The most recent experience was on a Friday, as a walk-in. For those of you looking for private rooms for karaoke, you know that's a difficult to ask. On one of the busiest nights of the week. We rolled around trying to find a few spots that ended up being booked, or way overpriced for what they had available. So we ended up here. They were able to take us with one room left. Let's do the rundown:Parking: If you haven't been to the plaza, it's huge. Parking is everywhere, and there's a garage in the back corner if needed. It can be a little cutthroat driving around to find a spot, but otherwise it's not too bad to find parking somewhere nearby..Facility: It's clean, never had a problem with Anthony looking bad. It's been in to firm each of the times I've been. Food: I've only been once where I've ordered food. And I have to admit, the popcorn chicken was pretty damn good. We also had edamame, which was average. It's kind of hard to wow with beans. I've also had beer here, but never any of their cocktails. So I can't really write the cocktails. The beer wasn't too pricey either, so that wasn't a bad deal for a beer or two.Karaoke: Overall, it isn't too bad. They are lacking in music selection. I couldn't find a lot of things that I would have liked to sing, and their screen and selection process is not at all user friendly. Their mic and sound system is really good. I would say at least a third of the lyrics were off from the music though. I blame the video recording/lyric timing rather than the tech on that one. Service: This has been hit and miss, historically. The most recent time was actually pretty good, so kudos for that improvement. Overall it's an okay place to go. I have yet to find a stellar karaoke joint. Feel free to send suggestions!

Another Dun Huang Plaza favorite of mine is this place. I don't know if it's pronounced anyway or new way, but either way, its a cool spot. My friends and I decided to come here after dinner nearby. It was a spur of the moment decision that ended up being a super fun night. None of us had been here and didn't know any of the pricing details. Walking in, the place was pretty dead, so they let us have a large room for just the hourly rate. Typically they have a minimum expense amount, but let us pay for the time we were there. Customer service started off really strong, but as the night went on and more customers came in, we got less and less service. We ended up in the Katy room which was their second to largest karaoke room. This was one of the largest private karaoke rooms I had ever been in. There was so much room for activities in there. There was plenty of seating for my squad and we could of comfortably invited a whole other group in there if we wanted to. We had soju with dinner earlier so we kept it going here. We ended up with many rounds of every flavor they had. The karaoke list was sufficient with lots of great songs, but they were missing things we were looking for. They provided us with two wireless mics which was plenty to get our singing on. Overall, we had a great time here and will keep this as an option when the singing bug hits me again!

We had a great time here! It was a very nice and clean place to do karaoke either in the open area stage or in the private rooms. Food was decently priced and alcohol was a little on the high side but not completely unexpected for this type of establishment ($25 for Jinro soju is kind of rough). Service was always on point, although there weren't many rooms taken when we were there. I took off a star because of the karaoke system itself. Navigating their software was a little bit difficult but they did seem to have a good song selection despite missing a few older and newer popular hits. They stated you can download songs, but we were never able to get 'downloaded' songs able to work. All in all, we wouldn't hesist to return!

Barbi likes to spend most of her nights the SCREW WAYBut I know one other thing that we love to DO WAYThere are other late night food spots, but here's the TRUE WAYGet yourself to Dun Huang, and eat a meal at NUWAY!I brought my gf here when her period was DUE WAYI looked down at her skirt, and I noticed a red HUE WAYI shoulda told her but I didn't, so she never KNEW WAYShe left bloodstains on the seat, but we both loved NUWAY!It's so good, it'll catch on faster than the FLU WAYIt tasted so yummy that my nether regions GREW WAYI found it so sexy, I dropped to my knees and BLEW BAEThat's TMI but IDC, just come and try NUWAY!If you wanna be a Playmate, this can be your HUGH WAYMy Generation might prefer the WHO WAYIf they were Shakespeare they'd be Taming Of The SHREW WAYHurry up and get your *ss directly to NEWAYThey started in the 00s, and since then they really GREW WAYOne meal's not enough in fact you should order TWO WAYTastes so good it makes me wanna eat from Barbie's SHOE WAYThere's no better Chinese food in Houston than at NEWAYDip your wings in it and you'll do it the BLEU WAYDon't swallow the food directly, first make sure you CHEW WAYIf I lived off the land, I'd do it the SIOUX WAYBut when I live off Chinese food, I do it the NEWAY!WHAT!One of the best late night restaurants in all of Houston. This is basically East Wall Restaurant but with the added bonus of being open very late. Unfortunately, unlike East Wall, they do not serve tap water, and they also have smaller portions, and it's also extremely cold in here throughout all the chilly months in Houston, of which there are a lot more than advertised. The temperature and water issue and portion size could be enough to lower the star rating but I won't - the food is too good, service is great, and the hours are perfect for us.But those factors are a shame because if these were not the case then we would eat here all the time, and one of the servers here is a true and great friend of ours and we love her. We talk pets with her all the time.We are a little sad that we can't come back here more because of those aphro mentioned problems - I mean aforementioned but whatever, google voice. So the food here is spectacular especially the flat noodles w chicken extra spicy, and the snow pea leaves extra spicy.Of course it's also a very imaginative karaoke place which is a great place to come and sing, which has rooms named after different parts of Houston and its suburbs. No money so I have to ScroungeLike me ever since I was YoungeAnd for Chinese FoodI don't mean to be rudeBut get your fat ass to Neway LoungeI basically have the same feelings for Neway that I feel for East Wall. One of Chinatown's best, with wonderful meals, perfect service, and one of our fave restaurants in Houston. We've been coming to Neway and East Wall for a year. Some of the best Chinese dishes, like Snow Pea Leaves with extra spice, and wonderful flat noodles w chicken, delicious and perfect. Their chili chicken is also good.NeWay is open later, with the same lovely servers and amazing dishes, a little bit more expensive, smaller portions, bottled water only. So we prefer EW.The employees here get 10/5 if that's possible. They're top notch, some of the nicest in Chinatown. I had a bad experience a long time ago (maybe different workers) but the current batch are wonderful.Easily scores 5, but I wish veggie portions were bigger, because they taste better than local rival in the same plaza FuFu, and for 50-70% as much food it's not filling, and harder for me to be a true regular patron. Also, milk tea, whom is one of the best cats in the world - a Siamese we found outside here as a baby, which led us to be regulars here. We love Milky so much! And of course, I recommend going to East Wall too, so here's a rap for East Wall:Ordered 20 dishes and damn it was quite the FEAST WALLI lift then I eat here, so they call me BEAST WALLEating here can be religious, so they call it PRIEST WALLMake so many funny raps about it, it's DECEASED WALLThey don't own the building, that's why it is LEASED WALLSince I stopped eating here nightly, my weight has DECREASED WALLBarbi doesn't douche enough, so they call her YEAST WALLHer taste's more explosive than conflict in the MIDEAST WALLFlavour controversial like OJ getting RELEASED WALLThought my D could not get bigger, but here it INCREASED WALLSo skip the peen enlargement pills, instead come to EAST WALLAlmost enjoy this as much as Donald being IMPEACHED WALLVoted for the Dems who handed racist Reps DEFEATS WALLHope that in 2 and 4 years the pattern then REPEATS WALLBarbi likes to pose here with her prissy shoes and FEETS WALLSometimes if she wears a crop top she shows off her TEATS WALLIf you want to taste the food that Barbi loves, try EAST WALLNot to be confused with how funny I am (Deceased Wall), my shirts (Creased Wall), or if you don't wash down south (Yeast Wall).

Had an amazing time here for karaoke! I originally tried to go to another KTV place, but they couldn't accommodate my large group, so last minute, we called Neway! They easily gave us a room and we were in our way to singing! The workers are friendly and the food? Pretty good! The fried rice was good and all the other dishes as well. We ended up staying for 3-4 hours I believe, and we were not disappointed. If you need a place to go for ktv, come here! Especially if you know you'll be singing for a while!

Rating for karaoke only:Neway is a very clean place where you can have some karaoke! There is no age restriction and the private rooms are charged by the hour instead of by person.I made a reservation and my party came late, but they didn't start the clock till we all got there thankfully. The worker showed us how to use the machine and it was simple. There are lots of songs from different countries, so we both had our pop and kpop fix! I've only been to 2 karaoke places but I like this one the most. The other one I went to was in the same plaza, but I felt very gross because the floors were sticky and the rooms were warm. Neway felt very clean and I didn't feel grossed out here .I will definitely come back and bring some more friends! Maybe next time I'll post an update with what we think about the food. Some things to note:You must make a reservation by calling them and then making a deposit through zelle. The deposit will be counted towards your room balance. They do not accept split bills. One person has to pay. They will hold onto your card until your room is done. They will add a gratuity fee after yout room is done. I had to pay that balance with zelle since it was a small fee.You can order food in the karaoke room.

I have been here over 10 times trying to figure out what's the best way to host a party to invite my foodie friends to experience a karaoke bar and Cantonese food. My actual day of party ended up in trash. I think Neway has the most complicated pricing structure for karaoke room and dinner with karaoke in the lounge area. I announced my event here over a month ago. I came here several times to gather information. The lady in the afternoon was really nice. She took her time explaining how the lounge area work with my dinner party. I planned accordingly with purchase rule of minimum $10 per person in order to sing karaoke. The stupid rule is when one person in my party sings, the whole group must meet the minimum purchase requirement. That's easily achievable, because most of them drink. So I prepared about 10 dishes to accommodate everyone's dietary options and authenticity in Cantonese food choices. I plan to add more as my guests arrive. But without any prior knowledge, they price went up by 200%. When the waitress told me about $20 per person, I was gasping for air. But I already told her my party date. But she didn't tell me the new price when I was there 10 days prior. The most embarrassing part was the moment everyone arrived, about 17 of us. I had to check with every guest about Plan B because the minimum purchase went up. To few people $10 more is nothing. But it's a huge chunk of change for hourly wages person. Oh, to make situation worse, 10 year old child is considered an adult. Plan C was to abandon the idea of singing, just eating dinner. But the arrangement was really awkward. I thought maybe give a Plan D to rent a room. For last minute room option was $399, because all small and medium rooms were booked. After checking with mathematician in my group, it began to look bad. It defeats the purpose of being there to sing karaoke for 6 hours.Back to Plan C, I was about to order from my prepared dinner menu. But all waitresses suddenly disappeared. The music was too loud. I felt like I was shouting at my guests. I really want to tell someone to turn this damn music down. Within 5 minutes, there was no sign of waitstaff. I saw a lady on the phone facing the wall behind the counter. There was no way to get her attention because the music was SO DAMN LOUD.My blood was boiling at this point. I had to announce my Plan E - EXIT. Let's get hell out of here. Thank goodness my guests were so understanding of the situation. I felt like being dumped. To the management:They had no courtesy to accommodate with my original plan. How can you advertise my event on Google Maps and deny my party? It's partially my fault because I was doing the Chinese way of trusting the business to do the right thing. So, from now on, I'm going to do the American way by asking her to put it in writing. Or, I'll get a lawyer to draft an agreement. Because there are too many crooks out there doing dishonest business. There are plenty of karaoke bars and Cantonese restaurants in Chinatown. I would stay away from business like Neway. No way.

$40/per hour, reasonable price. BUT be mindful that they automatically add 20% tip to your bill! Nearly $50 tips, but they barely provide any service at all. We ended up paying around $300 with 3 hour KTV and dinner. Food is mediocre, but it does add the convenience of eating and singing at the same time, I wouldn't recommend getting food here. Room is clean. They have mostly Chinese songs, not many options for English songs.

Worst yung chow fried rice I've had - only veggie was corn. Best part of it was the Chinese sausage but still couldn't get even halfway through dish. Where in houston can you get good yung chow?!

We brought a couple of soda, didn't see the tiny sign of no outside drinks. 1.5 hours later, the waitress came in and told us you cannot bring beverage and started taking away our stuff on herself! We told her she cannot just take away our stuff and she said then you can leave.
