"Fong Kee has been my go to spot whenever my family and I are craving for some delicious clay pot rice! I would say this is the best clay pot rice place in the entire Bay Area. I've been here a couple of times and I always leave happy. The clay pot rice is super fragrant with a crispy golden bottom. Perfect amount of topping to rice ratio. My favorite is the eel with chinese sausage! It is super healthy and filling. I also really like the pork patty one which reminds me of what my grandma makes for me when I was a child. Service is standard and quick. It does take about 15-20 minutes for the claypot. The restaurant does get pretty busy during the weekend so prepare to have a small wait. Overall, 100% would recommend! All my friends that I took here also loves it!"
"Super clean broth, speedy service, and simply satisfying.I tried their vegetarian pho today and it was so savory and rich in deep flavors but not heavy or greasy. Really clean broth that warmed my bones and soul."

"Visited here for lunch on a weekday with some coworkers. I've come here before a long while ago, but not recently. Attentive staff, and delicious food. Generous food portion for the regular bowl, and it was very filling. Restaurant appeared clean, orders taken within reason, and food came out quickly."
"Good food great service some of my favorite dishes are the chow fun egg sauce, prawnsDried fried ribsDry scallop fried rice"
"Currently my go-to pho spot in Dublin/Pleasanton. I like that the broth is rich and savory, without being too salty. And they give generous amounts of meat, along with your typical fresh ingredients (basil leaves, bean sprouts, lime, jalapenos). Their vermicelli plates are flavorful and filling too! The space is clean and open, and the staff is always friendly. Great value!"
"I love their vegetarian Cashew tofu plate, it is sooooo perfect and very flavorful. They have a lot of vegetarian variety on the menu too!!The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and there is plenty seating outdoors and indoors.Everyone is so kind, I think the elders are doing an amazing job in the kitchen, and I feel so grateful every time because they never miss ^ * ^"
"My favorite chicken egg noodle soup place, ever! If you know me, chicken is NOT my preferred protein, however, Hai Nam has successfully got me craving their noodles after my first visit here. This is a cute mom-and-pop restaurant, with generous portions and great service. I usually get the dry roasted chicken egg noodles, which come with soup on the side. Being the Americanized Asian I am, I always request my chicken to be deboned. It comes with a small side of kimchi, and dipping sauce. I love how many chives they include in the soup and noodles. Lastly, I can never finish my portion and always request a side of broth for me to go home and finish later. Highly recommend in the area."
"Imperial Soup is a fitting name as I would crown it the king of noodle soups in Oakland. It has become my go to comfort meal on a cold or rainy day (slurp slurp). I almost always order the Spicy Lamb Noodle Soup. The soup is aromatic, flavorful, clean, with a touch of sweetness. Highly recommend getting it with the thick egg noodles, which are plentiful and have amazing chew. I also like how it has both ground lamb and slices of lamb and a crunch from the red onions. And while it is labeled "spicy", I would put it at a 4 out of 10 at most (Asian scale). The Spicy Beef Flank Noodle Soup is also tasty and probably my favorite in Oakland. Echo the same things as above. The beef shanks are very beefy and less fatty / gristly than normal, and I don't think I've ever seen any beef noodle soup with this much meat (meat makes me happy). Final recommendation is the Steamed Whole Striped Bass, which is simply flavored with ginger, scallions, and soy to serve as a complement to the buttery fish.Another plus is that the restaurant never seems overly busy / packed - have always been able to find a table and get our food served within 10 minutes. They also take credit card, though of course would prefer cash. A bit hidden and on the outskirts of Chinatown, but highly recommend getting your slurp on at Imperial Soup!"
"Simple menu and great ambiance! The food and service was good! No complaints here! Will definitely come again if I'm ever in the area."
"We were needing food nearby after we had run some errands. We felt like getting a bun and so we went to New Pho Saigon. When ordering it was nice that they confirmed we were going to "NEW" Pho Saigon as there is a Pho Saigon very nearby.Parking was relatively easy and we found a spot in front of the place. It was quick to get the food as we called in before picking up.We got #85. Bún Tôm Thịt Nướng Chả Giò / 燒蝦豬肉炸春捲檬 / Marinated Shrimp, Grilled Pork, Egg Roll with Vermicelli. I was assuming that the grilled pork would be lemongrass flavored but I don't think it was. It looked more red than your usual grilled pork which kind of remined me of tocino which is a marinated pork in filipino cuisine.Everything was fairly standard but unfortunately something in the dish made me a bit nauseated which was a bummer. No fault to the place as I have a few food intolerances and it's always a gamble when eating.Overall, I think it was okay. Service was good in terms of ordering and pick up. Food was okay. So I think for now "okay" is a good way to describe this spot. I'll have to try more from the menu and re-review in the future. Definitely take a look and try them out for yourself!"
"Awesome owner and great food every time! They make it exactly how me and mom like it. Huge portions too!"
"There was no crowd upon arriving .I was greeted immediately which I love as being someone in the service industry as long as I have .The restaurant is quite quaint and cute ! I always order a chicken PHO when I come to Vietnamese restaurants. The bowl was huge and the waitress was happy and friendly .I enjoyed this place very much .The bowl of PHO is shockingly bigger than other PHO places I've been to ."

Came here as a group of 6 on a Sunday afternoon. We waited for about 15mins and one of the server came out and let us know that we could be seated right now if we want, and they'll add a smaller table for us when it opens up. I really appreciate the fact that they tried to get us seated asap, as it was pretty chill today. I forgot to take pics today, but the pics attached are from the previous times when I came with my boyfriend. Their chicken mushroom clay pot is always good, with or without the Chinese sausage. The chicken is always pretty tender. The yellow eel is kind of a hit or miss. We've gotten it twice now, and the last time we had it, the yellow eel was on the fishier side.

The service was attentive, quick food service, and love the taste and portion size. The music and atmosphere was nostalgia of my childhood with my grandparents. I would definitely come back. The bathroom is clean and wheelchair accessible.

Took a stroll during lunch rush to find Pho Queen quiet and empty with just one table of customers. Waited around for a couple of minutes before the staff showed up to greet us and let us know we can choose any table. Ordered a regular of the pho noodle soup #10 with spring rolls. The spring rolls consisted of shrimp and pork. It tasted like what you'll find at any Viet restaurant. I would prefer to have my spring rolls with only shrimp though. The peanut/hoisin dipping sauce was lacking peanut butter taste. The pho was decent. We were slightly taken aback by the sheer fact that the herbs plate didn't accompany our pho. We had to request for it. My husband wasn't satisfied with the pho. There were a couple pieces of tendon that tasted somewhat overdue. My bowl was okay. Just wish the noodles didn't come in a big glob like it was sitting around waiting to be brought out upon a customer's order. Service was quick and friendly and it was nice and quiet. Would I go back? Probably not. There's better options within a 5-mi radius. But to each their own.

My go-to while I was in college for both value and quality! The staff is very straightforward but that's exactly what thrives in busy areas like south Berkeley. Cash payment is preferred but you can pay with card at the kiosks. Food comes out quick and is perfect for a late night dinner or in between class lunch with friends. Tons of drink options in this plaza as well so Thai Basil pairs great with your favorite boba shop!

My guy was having mad craving for com ga hai nam [hai nam chicken] and because he was willing to give himself a cheat day to indulge, who am I to stop him from his happiness??After looking over a few places on Yelp, we both decided to go with Hai Nam Restaurant- for obvious reasons. The establishment is located within Paloma Plaza, off of Silver Creek Road. Parking is plentiful but traffic coming and going is undoubtedly heavy. Our family of 3 arrived and was greeted by a gentleman. He let us to pick our own table, brought out menus, and immediately offered water or tea. The menu comprised of various chicken noodle soups, rice plates, chicken salad, whole roasted and boiled chicken also available. Due to my daughter suddenly not feeling well, we switched gears and opted to order take out. I placed an order for com ga hai nam and patiently waited. Food came out quickly and everything was packaged well. Food:Portions are generous. The rice was flavorful, fluffy, and the hai nam chicken was moist. The ginger fish sauce paired well with the tender meats and the pickled napa cabbage gave the meal a nice bright aspect. 5 stars. Hai Nam Restaurant definitely knows what they are doing when it comes to properly cooking chicken. Bonus points because you are more than welcome to request for certain cuts of chicken [dark or white]. The restaurant aims to please....

This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant. They specialize in herbal soups reminiscent of what my mom would make. I love how the herbal soups are categorized by their health benefits. We also ordered the steamed, whole fish and lotus root with mixed veggies. Reminds me of home cooking. Needless to say, it's comfort food. There are several items we look forward to trying on upcoming visits.

"One of hidden treasures in Los Altos/cupertino area. Happened to find this place on a date night with my wife and we are pleasantly surprised with this little gem. The store front is unassuming and friendly. There's outdoor seating area with beautiful roses (when they bloom that is) that are well cared by the owner Jenny herself - yes, she takes care of her own plants and her attention to these flowers also reflect to her dedication to the culinary craft as well. On with the food, we ordered dream box - an assortment of fresh sashimi, waygu, oysters and umi.. the quality of the selection far exceeds the price. It's one of best values sashimi combo special that you can find in Silicon Valley, bar none. We also ordered bluefin tuna, more otoro fatty tuna, tomago, calamari, spider roll, ramen - yes we went a little overboard but it was our anniversary dinner as well.Jenny the owner is very friendly and very accommodating. She truly cares about her guests and works hard to give them the best experience possible We like it so much that we ordered take out next day for our picnic at the park and takeout food quality is just as good as at the restaurant. You will enjoy the food, the service, and the value at this place. There's plenty of parking in the back and coming here you'll feel like you're at a little shop in Tokyo but with a homely feel."
"We love this pace and have lunch/dinner here all the time. However The entrance was damaged; it's not in business right now. Sad ..."
"Great new Chinese restaurant with a huge selection of dumplings. We especially loved the wontons in Sichuan chili oil.The main dish list is more limited, but we loved everything we tried: Red Braised Pork Belly (tender and flavorful), Ma-po Tofu (rich and red, well balanced), and Lucky's Cumin Lamb (tender chunks covered in cumin, wonderfully spiced). When they expand the menu, I'd like to see some vegetable offerings. The staff is warm and friendly, the restaurant is super-clean although a little brightly lit. They serve bento boxes which would be great for lunch."
"This place has a nice atmosphere. They have tasty strong adult beverages. I had the Cadillac margarita.Tasty and hot salsa. (some places have mild but here it's boarder-line too hot)They have plenty of staff so the service is generally pretty good. Very attentive when you need something. Prices seemed fair for having dined in the Beverly Hills of San Jose.FoodI ordered the Tierra y Mar (steak and shrimp fajitas). I never had or even heard of soggy/soupy fajitas before. I ate most of my food because I was hungry but this was not was I was expecting. I will probably never order this here again. 2 out of 5 stars. I know everyone makes fajitas their own way but this didn't even look appetizing. Most of the other dinners looked good though that I saw throughout the dining area."
"Phoever is hands-down one of the best pho spots in Sunnyvale! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. The menu is packed with delicious options, but the pho is the true star--deep, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and generous portions of tender meat.I ordered the Beef Pho (rare steak & brisket), and it was the beau idéal! The broth was rich and aromatic, with just the right balance of spices. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and they give you plenty of fresh basil, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeños to customize it to your liking. Beyond the pho, their spring rolls were fresh and packed with flavor, and the Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and delicious--just the right amount of sweetness. What really makes Phoever special is the service. The staff is incredibly welcoming, making you feel like family. Even on busy nights, they're attentive and quick. If you're craving Vietnamese comfort food and stuck in Sunnyvale and don't feel like driving all the way over to the east side, Phoever is the place to go. I'll definitely be back again and again!"
"Ordered via DoorDash and the food was so good! We loved the variety of food - one of the few places that has lo mein, we got meat options and vegetarian options which is awesome! Every plate was delicious and the servings were a decent size. For what you get it's reasonably priced. We tried a lot of food: wonton soup, vegetable chow mein, meat version of the chow mein, lo mein, egg rolls, Mongolian beef, calamari, and so many other options. All were delicious!"
"I came with my family on a friday evening and I had a great experience here! It has a homey and cozy vibe that I love, and the staff are extremely helpful, kind, and welcoming :) We ordered the family special dinner for four (option B) and everything was so tasty. It came with vegetarian egg rolls, hot and sour soup, mongolian beef, kung pao chicken, BBQ pork fried rice (subbed pork for chicken), and salt and pepper prawns, and yu shang broccoli. Most dishes came out one by one and they were all so flavorful and good. When we were finished, staff kindly helped us box our leftovers. We also got fortune cookies at the end of our meal which was a nice treat!"
"Garlic noodles are amazingAmbiance is small and a bit congested Service is good family owned. Cleanliness an area of opportunity ."
"This place is an experience. This is our 3rd year celebrating our wedding anniversary at this restaurant. I like all the variety of ingredients you can place in your bowl as well as they offer a wide selection of hotpot broths. Fun place to eat."
"This place doesn't need a rave review, but they've earned it. A true institution in Fremont, and now with three locations. This is the original, but was located in a lot that got bulldozed over and made into apartment complexes. It was a lot more cramped so this location has been a vast improvement. It's also nice that it's right off one of the roads closed off for the annual Arts & Wine Festival! This is also one of the few places where, if you can't get a table (and that does happen), the food is just as good if you take it to go and eat at home. Everything is delicious and there's something for every palette from adventurous to safe."
"We had a fun time at Deer Hollow and worked up an appetite for lunch so we finally tried this place that had been on my to-eat list for years. Little did I know they have multiple locations in the south bay. We were seated right away on a Sunday because we squished into a table for two. It isn't a large place so be prepared to wait if you want a table for 4. I ordered the popcorn chicken, stewed pork ribs noodle, and the chicken fried noodles. I love thick noodles so I went for the biggest they had. My toddler loved the popcorn chicken and even though my pork soup was spicy, he loved the noodles. The soup was spectacular- reminded me of a Mexican pork stew my grandma used to make. You can really taste all the spices and the difference with the noodles. We were also impressed with how quick the service is. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We ordered online at our table and the food came out right away. They also pack your leftovers up. Exceptional service and you get a lot of food!"
"Always a family go to spot for a homey meal. Cold noodles and green onion is always a must when we come. Occasionally we'll get the spicy fish pot that comes with a variety of different veggies which is also very tasty. Any of their beef and lamb dishes are also good. Service is generally quick and servers are very friendly."
"If there's one thing I know, it's that San Jose in the state of California has thee best pho - without a doubt. Knowing that the Vietnamese community is so strong here - Their soup has be cooking none stop for that deep broth that a lot of other places strive for but within a shorter cooking time. This place, the ambiance is golden. Beautifully picturesque, clean, spacious, and organized - we absolutely knew we were in for a whole 'nother experience that what we've been privy to. When we first got there, the staff was super nice and was able to seat us as soon as we walked in the door. The servers were especially patient with us as we needed some time to look over the menu (we did not know about the hype) and was able to order the San Jose Bowl with additional bone marrow and ribs, Cowboy Pho with side of boneless ribs, and a few drinks. I did not know that the additional ribs would be so huge! I thought that they brought us both orders of ribs and mistakenly forgot about the boneless ribs but when they came back with the boneless ribs I was shocked at how much food I had ordered! The bone marrow. WOW. That gave the soup another level of texture! Let's not forget about the broth, so deep and flavorful. Don't even dare drench that bowl of soup with sauces until you taste the soup. I can't stop thinking about this soup. It was rememberable!"
"Love their eggrolls, but unfortunately their egg rolls got twice smaller with the same price. It's not as flavorful like it was, I guess it's time to go somewhere else. The pho is okay"
"Haven't been to this restaurant for over 10 years, because we had bad experiences in the past, one of them was "we always missed the shrimp dumplings" because the dim sum cart never came to our table and when it came, they sold out!Today, my Papa and I were in here, decided to give it a try.First thr host took us to a Teo person table tucked in a tiny corner was hard to see the dim sum cart or would miss them, so she suggested the tea lounge, which was much better and nicer. The dim sum we had, included a few usual ones (total 8 different kinds) were good, nothing disappointed, were as expected, but mostly their flavors were on the lighter side, except the shrimp dumplings were very good. Also they had the old fashion sausage rolls.Service was quite good, the manager checked on our order sheet frequently to ensure our dim sum arrived promptly, and she changed our plates. Our overall experience was good.Peony you have impressed me today, I shall visit again."
"The place is beautiful, it reminds of ancient China days. I love it!! The service is spot on, they are super attentive, friendly, and easy going. We ordered more, but we started eating I forgot to take more photos. We also got Kobe, prawns, and combination mushrooms. I like Seapot too. It's definitely different, this is not all you can eat. Seapot is modern looking. You don't get some of the exotic stuff that you would find at Seapot. For examples brain, pork blood, I believe I saw pigs ears, and chicken feet too. I don't eat those particular parts of animals. If you're someone that enjoys that, this spot is for you. This is our second time there. I will definitely come back, that's how much I enjoyed it. The food was fresh and impeccable."
"Food was good. Service was fast. Can't really say much about Ambiance because I did a pick up."
"OMG...freaking love this place to death. I am a hardcore chicken soup girl. When I'm at a pho place I always look for chicken pho and when I'm at a ramen place I always look for chicken ramen. The fact that I stumbled upon this place that literally specializes in chicken noodle soup...I cried. The food here? AMAZING. Portions are HUGE (mind you we got the regular size). The price point is great. The soup is clean and comforting. I got the #1 w/ the clear noodles. My bf got the #3 with vermicelli rice noodles. Both of them were 10/10-so comforting. They also came with a side of ginger scallion oil sauce to dip your chicken in. The sauce was on point. We also go the salt and pepper wings. It came with 12 pieces--that's a shit ton. The chicken was FRESH, JUICY, and PIPING HOT. We didn't tackle these until after we killed a good portion of our noodles and they were STILL so hot. When we bit into it, the juice was literally dripping out *cries*. I also highly recommend eating it with an extra sprinkle of pepper! The service here is super efficient. You order first at the counter and then grab a seat. Your food comes out in like 5 minutes. Ambiance is great too. The store is super spacious with plenty of seating. It was also quite clean! If you're looking for a nice hearty and clear chicken soup -- this is the place to go. 10/10!"
"I've been to this restaurant years ago but finally decided to revisit despite the subpar reviews. It's about just as tasty as I remember! My mom and I went with a Mild Spicy Sliced Beef Pot and the base pot was filled with onions, sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, and beef. They were really generous with the beef and it was also quite tender. We added on quail eggs, potato slices, pigs large intestine , and enoki mushrooms, all of which went super well with the dry pot. I wish we went up a level or two on the spice scale as mild didn't really do it for me. Everything was flavorful and savory but with a little extra spice it would be great! The bean jelly dish was also really tasty with hints of salty, sour, and spicy. It was the perfect refreshing side dish to cool down from the steaming hot dry pot.As for the service, both the hostess and the owner were very friendly and welcoming. Food didn't come out super fast but not very slow either. The ambiance is okay, a little dim inside but all the tables are clean and there's a good amount of seating. Overall, I enjoyed all the food and service here! The prices are a bit high but it was ton of food! Probably could feed 3-4 people."
"This restaurant stays true to the authentic methods of Korean cuisine. Many of the dishes are perfect pairings for drinks and conversations, just like what you'd find at gatherings after work in Korea. The portions are very generous, one serving is often too much for just one person. My favorite is their spring onion fried chicken, which is best enjoyed fresh on site. The Korean ajummas are also incredibly friendly, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere."
"Wonderful service, pho was really clear (little fat, amazing taste). Would definitely come again!!!"
"Standard place for good pho. Egg rolls nice and crispy - pho is yummy. $20 for a bowl is kinda crazy but hey get it how you live. Service is decent, they're all polite. Very spacious restaurant if you're hungover wear sunglasses because it's bright in there :)"
"So the good .. the food itself was amazing! I liked observing the gentleman creating the hand pulled noodles as he was stretching and swirling the large dough around. The calamari was delicious and paired nicely with the sweet and savory dipping sauce. The noodles were definitely fresh even the texture biting into them was so soft and tender. The bad .. nothing against the establishment but as I was sitting in the mall court area eating .. I saw a cockroach run across the table I was eating at ! I was grossed out and left . I would go into the actual restaurant next time and not the mall to have the full experience."
