"Kusan Uyghur was featured on the show Check, please! and a friend recommended it, so I decided to check it out. While I was a little nervous that it might be too adventurous for my taste buds, I found lots of dishes that were delicious. The restaurant isn't huge, so it feels best to come with groups of 2-4 to avoid a long wait. The heat lamps outside were a nice touch since there isn't a lot of space to wait inside. Also, I enjoyed the complimentary ice cream cone at the end of the meal. Looking forward to my next visit!"
"Small unassuming place. But don't pass on this place. The food was amazing. Chicken 65 biryani and tikka masala both medium heat was perfect. Naan good. And mango lassi good too. Definitely was glad to give this place a try. Very good and from the amount of takeout people were getting from the short time dining in was pleasing to see. Definitely would return."

"3.5 STARSDate: Wednesday, March 29th, 2023Time: Ordered around 1:45pm, Picked up around 2:15pmHow: via Restaurant's websiteMeal: Lunch*Kabob Meat Only: Skewers of Meat - Chicken Kabob Skewer (+$7.89), Lamb Kabob Skewer (+$8.99)*Hummus: Comes with Pita Bread ($6.39)*Sophie's Tzaztziki: Cucumber Yogurt Dip with Pita ($6.39)The hubby's brother was grabbing food and asked me if I wanted anything. My answer? Always yes! Feed me! Funny enough, he and the hubby don't really like Mediterranean, so I often don't get the chance to eat it. (I believe he ordered their Fettuccine Alfredo. Lol!) So I was looking forward to satisfying my random hummus cravings. The skewers didn't come on skewers, but they had a nice smokiness. Tho I did find the meat a little dry. Thanks goodness for my two sides. The tzatziki provided a nice freshness. I did find the hummus a little bland, but nothing some salt or hot sauce couldn't fix.Good option for Mediterranean in the Evergreen area.Note: My pix are from a meal I had back in 2020. I didn't take any pictures this time around. There is an added Beef Kabob Skewer."
"Good, rich food. Limited options - but that's what keeps the quality and taste so good. The service is fast - and you know you are getting fresh food as you can see it being cooked in front of you. I wish they had better seating options, but it's a food truck so I guess it's to be expected."
"This place is an experience. This is our 3rd year celebrating our wedding anniversary at this restaurant. I like all the variety of ingredients you can place in your bowl as well as they offer a wide selection of hotpot broths. Fun place to eat."
"Location: parking is hard but that's everywhere in Berkeley.Great tasting food and price is reasonable! Must have: Grilled Chicken, chicken Shawarma and Baklava!!! They are fast and pleasant. Khalid ka welcoming and honest. Place is small, but they have a good backyard seating."
"Came for dinner around 730PM on a Thursday. About 1/4 of the restaurant tables were occupied when we arrived, and never got super busy for the 3 hrs we were there.I believe the wait staff was trying to be polite and not interrupt our conversation but I had to get her attention to order, and get a to-go box and the check.Food was good but entrees seemed to take a while, ~20+ min? Overall pretty good except the music, and especially the happy birthday music (there were 3 that night) was SO loud. It was challenging to hear someone talking sitting right across from me."
"My sister's friends had catered food from this location at a party of theirs and my sister loved it! Tonight, we (three of us) decided to go here for a quick dinner. We were very hungry as we'd been out all day. Location: blink and you'll miss it! We had to hit a u-turn to get to the restaurant. There were definitely a few spots available when we went (Monday night just before 6 pm), but I can imagine it gets busy in that small parking lot. Service: everything we asked for, we received! We had just come from Philz and we requested cups to split our coffees -- they were so sweet to accommodate (even gave us a cup of hot water when we asked later). I asked for green chili and onions-- the onions and limes were $1 and they also threw in the chili! They were very accommodating and kind! Taste: we ordered gobi Manchurian, baby corn Manchurian, chicken dum biriyani, fish tikka (tilapia), chicken Hakka noodles, and a side order of rice. We absolutely loved both Manchurian dishes-- our favorite!!! The fish tikka was also very good and served on cabbage. Super fresh and perfectly cooked. The chicken dum biriyani was also quite good (only two pieces of chicken, so you might need to order more if people are hungry), but I wish it had a whole egg instead of just half. The Hakka noodles were also delicious-- I think I'll try the vegetable version next time! Price: everything was fairly affordable!! All-in-all, highly recommend coming here and I'll definitely come back to try more of their delicious dishes! There are so many options to choose from!"
"Jhol momo (lamb): yummy; Medium spice is just right for usOur go-to dish here is C Chili Chicken momo, which is spicy (more than what we would like even in Medium spice level)."
"This is probably the best birayni I've had in the Bay Area. There was so much flavor in every bite! Sometimes I've had problems with other biryanis because either it's not spicy enough, it's not flavorful enough, or the flavor is not even late dispersed enough. This one was perfect all-around. I ordered it through DoorDash very late on a Friday night after barhopping. The food came right on time as I got home.I got the chicken biryani. I liked the onions and the chicken meat was moist! There was not an option to customize the spice. It was extremely spicy, which I loved, but it did hurt the next day coming out. Everyone that took a bit also felt the spice hurt their tummies. One recommendation is to give options for spice levels. The mango lassi helped with cooling the spice.I'd love to visit in-person and try other foods!"

Went here for belated Valentine's Day and was super delicious! My first time trying this cuisine. You will experience the sichuan numbing effect from some of their dishes if you're sensitive to spicy! Also very nice ambiance inside of the restaurant, which you would never expect from looking at from the exterior.

Regular rice masquerading as saffron! Glad to see another food option in this Evergreen plaza. The food was pretty good! It was funny as the man at the host stand got a personal call when we walked in for pickup, he told his caller that he had customers waiting, but proceeded to stay on the phone. Thankfully another employee came out to help us from the back. Lamb and Beef Gyro: Pretty flavorful and the sauce was a nice touch! The salad balanced things out, but the small piece of pita was somewhat stale and the hummus wasn't my favorite. Chicken Kabob: Delicious, just what you'd expect from any chicken breast kebab. Falafel: Decent, but had a harder crust than most falafels. Also misleading as the item is labeled "Falafel Balls" plural, but each order is just 1 falafel for $1.99, price is fine but wording is weird. White sauce was good tho! Sophie's has a nice dining room that was empty during lunch hour on a weekend.

The food was amazing, the first bite was so delectable. It has all the flavored. Rumali roti was amazing too , it met and far exceeded my expectations. The person who cooks is very proactive in offering onions and suggests to take / try the sauce . Their green sauce was amazing too too. Overall the food and the experience at this food truck was amazing .

I've been here multiple times for a Friday lunch and it doesn't disappoint. All my coworkers have opted for the AYCE wagyu, and the beef is super tasty. The raw ingredients come from a conveyor belt, and you get what you want when it comes your way. I also liked the sauce bar and the snack bar, wish I had made room for dessert to try out the cake rolls and offerings.Service was attentive but it did take a minute to flag down the waiters but beef came in a timely fashion after we've made our request. Ambiance was very lively and filled with people busy enjoying their hot pots and their gossip.

Ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and it was so yummy! The salad on the side had a good dressing too. Fresh food, hot, and delicious. Friendly and quick service. I liked the music they were playing inside.

We've come back to Yas multiple times since our first visit, and they are always excellent!Staff are so wonderful and friendly, they always greet us warmly and have recognized us when we come in. Takeout out is just as good as dine-in, and we always have leftovers from their entrees. Such a perfect weeknight dinner for flavorful dishes that leave you full but never feeling bad. So good!

Excellent biryani! The real deal! Not oily, and not like rice has been mixed with a curry which many restaurants do and call it biryani.Located in a small strip mall. Will be coming back.

"Got the lentil soup, potato bolani & kebob plate. Very delicious and still hot when served. The service was great. The atmosphere was nice too. Definitely will come back to try other things on the menu."
"They came by work for a special event last week. I went with the veggie kabob plate and it came with a salad, rice, and veggie kabob! It was absolutely delicious. I devoured the entire thing! I had to wait a while for my order to be ready. I had co-workers who got their chicken kebabs way ahead of me. It must be because not many people order the veggie? If they come back, I would definitely order from them again."
"Had another delicious meal here. Haven't been back since pre pandemic days. Came by for lunch- not too busy. Had the bolani filled with leeks and a mixed grilled platter family style. Everything was delicious - well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Right on 14 th street in downtown Oakland, easy parking. Come and support this family run small business!"
"Ordered the plate for two and the combo plate for an appetizer. The eggplant dish from the combo plate pretty much had no flavor, which is devastating. Everything else on there was decent. The filet from the plate for two was meh, no flavor, which was a big shock. Not even a chargrilled mark. The chicken was nice and juicy. The koobedieh was the best part, lots of flavor. The rice also had lots of flavor. The service overall was okay. The waitress -- not so happy. The ambiance of the restaurant was awkward. Overall, a hit or miss on the flavors. Most likely won't be coming back when I'm in the area."
"First time dining here. Restaurant is cozy and our wait person was very personable. Service was great. We ordered a couple of appetizers to start - hummus and muhamurra. Hummus was a little too 'beany' for me but tasted great. The muhamurrah was delicious and the dipping oil that came with it was delicious. I think it was a sumac infused oil. Tasted great with the muhamurrah. Our waiter kept the bread coming! Bread was more of a focaccia bread than a lavoosh, so it was a little heavier but we totally enjoyed it. Thank you! We also had a lychee martini and a smoky old fashioned. Both were excellent. For our entree, we ordered chicken Adana kebab, Adana kebab (lamb), chicken shish and the octopus salad. The kebab entrees came with grilled vegetables and rice pilaf. The person who ordered the octopus salad commented that there were a lot of octopus in the salad and said it was delicious. We were too stuffed to have any dessert! Would definitely come back again. Food and service were excellent. Note: lighting was a little dim so it was difficult to get great pictures of the menu. Rating: 4.5"
"This is the best pizza so far that I had around Union City. If I'd compare it to big names of pizza, I'd rather pick this one lol. I'll try the Afghani pizza next time. Fast Service!"
"I had the pleasure of working with Isfahan to cater a Galentine's party at our home, and the experience was outstanding. For our party of ten, the food exceeded expectations--not only was it delicious, but the portions were generous, ensuring everyone was well-fed and happy. The staff was incredibly helpful in planning the menu, offering great recommendations that made the selection process seamless. I brought my own platters to the restaurant, and they beautifully arranged the food, making for a stunning presentation. Thanks to Isfahan, hosting was effortless, and we looked great serving such an incredible spread. I highly recommend the beef kabobs with rice (kubideh, the cucumber yogurt (mastokhiar) with bread, and hummus. The kabobs come with a very flavorful rice which was surprisingly good."
"Ordered the lamb skewer, the Samsa and the milk tea and lots of drinks. Try the yuzu honey. Food needs less mild."
"My friend and I were blown away by the hospitality and food here! Both of us never tried afghan food, but we definitely plan on trying more dishes next time. The chicken kabob was extremely juicy and tender, and the rice was seasoned nicely with a touch of cumin. I loved the raisins and carrots on the rice for an added texture and sweetness. The lamb was also extremely tender and not gamey at all. I usually don't like lamb but this one was certainly delicious. The appetizer, 5pc mantoo, was also so good and I loved the yogurt with it. The man was very friendly and gave us samples of other menu items, like the squash Polani and a rose fragrant dessert, to try. He also sent us home each with a huge loaf of afghan bread that they make in house. Thank you for an incredible and filling meal! Next time I'm in Fremont, I know I'll be hitting this spot again."
"Food and service were super good! Portions are definitely small though. Butter chicken with naan-4/5 more tomato-y than im used to, but still good! I wish there was more naan so i could dip it in the sauce.Tandoori soya chaap -5/5 delicious! It has a creamy, nutty flavor and the texture was really nice. It has a small kick which is barely noticeable but nice."
"We were so lucky to have a party of 11, come on a Sunday evening ,and get seated right away. The host and staff were very accommodating of our small children and quick to help us. The food was easy to order through our phone and surprisingly affordable for being in downtown Redwood City! I love the self serve hot tea station. It smelled of cinnamon. The heaters and lights outside made for an enjoyable atmosphere. The interior transport you to a nice Mediterranean diner. The food was just as delightful and fresh. I love the baba ganoush, the tabouli salad, fluffy pita bread, and chopped chicken skewer plate with rice. The garlic sauce was so perfect. A surprising favorite was their giant charred cauliflower, seasoned and cooked perfectly. This was a sure highlight of our trip!"
"Quick and delicious. They have a great $10 plate that has rice, meat, veggies, and dressing. You can barely find any $10 meals anymore these days. Please help support local small business!"
"We unexpectedly based our plans to be in Berkeley for most of the afternoon/evening. We wanted some good Mediterranean food and Berkeley is one of the best cities to eat Mediterranean food. Therefore, we came across Rojbas Grill. I am genuinely so happy we did! I would go back for sure. *Overview: Food: 8/10 ratingService: 10/10 rating Ambiance: 7/10 rating*What we ordered: Dolma (4pcs)Chicken Gyro Plate Adana Kebab Plate FOOD: 8/10 ratingThe food was so flavorful. The proteins were juicy, seasoned well, and tender. I love how they served a platter of piping hot soft pita bread. It paired so well with our food. I was shocked by the complimentary hot tea served post-meal. It was not an average brewed Lipton tea. The tea was a yummy subtle herbal tea and perfect for digestion since we were so full. SERVICE: 10/10 rating The waiter was SO attentive. He was not overdoing it as well. He was very chill, kind, and attentive without us asking. He refilled our napkins and water without us asking. It bothers me when people say "It's their job and also they're just being nice for more tips". But, you can always tell when it's genuine!Ambiance: 7/10 ratingI love how "homey" the ambiance is. Rojbas Grill has a lot of intricate details on their curtains, artifacts, etc. My favorite pieces were the Mandala art hung up on the walls. Parking can be decent. There is a lot of meter-based parking. However, on a busy weekend, it can be hard to find parking."
"This is such a top quality spot! Mediterranean food is my go-to and as a vegetarian I found their meal incredibly delicious & satisfying touching on a lot of different flavors. I can tell they function on high standards because the freshness and care of packing of everything my falafel plate order was top tier. I especially loved their homemade sauces and the texture of the falafels -- you can tell when a place cares about the way they make their meals from how good the falafels are! Very amazing service -- 10/10 would recommend"
"Came here twice after the seeing the reviews and they are spot on! Everything we ordered both times were absolutely delicious. Fresh, clean, good portions and pricing is very reasonable!I've been to a handful of indian restaurants in the Sunnyvale/Santa Clara area and this is by far the best one. Staff is friendly and restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Something about white paper tablecloths really gives it that elevated look. I had one of their January specials, the Baigan Mazedar Chaat and it was super flavorful and not to mention spicy. My boyfriend and I love spicy foods and they did not disappoint. The Lamb Seekh Kebab was one of the best things I've ever had. it's with minced lamb, onion, garlic, ginger with spices and herbs. Lamb was not dry and very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Garlic Naan and Roti were fresh and warm as if they were just freshly baked. The Naan had crispy garlic bits and were crispy. Fish Masala was also A+ well balanced and consistent with the sauce. i am definitely getting that again next time."
"This is a decent Indian food place overall. They had special food items advertised at the table but it ended in December & they no longer had the food items. They were on every table, but they still didn't take them off the tables. I had several entrees as seen in the photos. The food was pretty good, the chicken was a bit salty for some reason, but not terrible. The service was ok, the waiter wasn't friendly/but wasn't unfriendly...they were just there to do the job and I get it. I'd come back & try other items on the menu for sure. If you enjoy the heat of spice, this might be a place for you to check out."
