"I've been to Curry Up Now, three times. Which is a surprise because I've been getting pizzas at New York Pizza for years. But myself and my mother "discovered" this little place one day on a walk when we couldn't decide what to eat. And we are so glad we did! We've ordered the big share platter. The Tikki Masala and Butter chicken are just chefs kiss. The naan bread is so warm and fresh out of the oven. We tried their chicken tacos for the first time yesterday and it's definitely going to be a dish that I order for future visits. My mom loves the mango yogurt drink. The very kind lady working the register (I forgot your name I'm so sorry) is always polite and helpful when trying to decide what to order. She gives us such a warm welcome when we visit. I recommend this place 100%. The food is fresh and you can tell they put effort and thought into their ingredient and dishes."
"We had such a nice and delicious time here! The atmosphere is welcoming, service is friendly and attentive, and the food rocks. The cauliflower appetizer is a must if you enjoy cauliflower. Maybe even if you think you don't care about cauliflower. My husband loved the lamb skewer. Everything we tasted was delicious, tbh. Try it!! This place is an asset to the neighborhood and your palate."

"Small unassuming place. But don't pass on this place. The food was amazing. Chicken 65 biryani and tikka masala both medium heat was perfect. Naan good. And mango lassi good too. Definitely was glad to give this place a try. Very good and from the amount of takeout people were getting from the short time dining in was pleasing to see. Definitely would return."
"Beautiful spot in Ardwnwood plaza to enjoy authentic flavours of South! We tried their podi idli ,biryani ,methi chaman curry and naan!Double ka meetha is exceptional in taste, highly recommend this place!"
"Ordered around five dishes- crispy baby corn, chicken lollipop, chicken chowmein, chilli chicken sauce and egg fried rice. I placed my order over a phone call and my order for egg fried rice was misinterpreted as szechwan fried rice. All the dishes tasted almost the same- sweet and sour with a very prominent taste of vinegar. Maybe if I got my correct order of egg fried rice it would have been better. The fried rice had strong overtones of old unwashed rice and was not very pleasant. The salt content in all the dishes was high as well but not enough to be called salty. Some pluses- they have more menu choices compared to other such trucks, meat was not overcooked. My experience this time was close to three stars but rating it at four as I had better experience earlier."
"My fellow Vegetarians, it's a go to place for sure. I would definitely recommend and say this at par with the Anandh Bhavan name and claims it's rightful place amongst my list of vegetarian food go-to restaurant list.Food ordered : poori combo, parotta comba, combo 3 , vada sambhar"
"Bombay Street Food opened where Anda Lari was. expanded menu with a carry over items. some vegeterian eats. spacious dining area inside. outside dining under a tent. menu is a medley of Indian/Bombay Street Food.offerings: eggs only, non vegeterian specials, frankies, Bombay chowpatties/pannins, style, beverages, maharashtrian.eats: pani puri (6/8)-hollow, crispy fried puffed balls with opening on top, -fill with accompanying fried grains, vegetable items, tangy water solution, chutney with mint or tamarind flavoring. eat all at once in one bite/gulp.-interesting taste sensation, probably 2d time having this, lst time at buffet. -not enough experience to rate accurately. just giving a novice rating. 3.5 stars for food. owner/cashier helpful with instructions on how to eat/assemble. quick service.take outs:-no other patrons. farmers market happening at same time.indian food truck there may have attracted possible patrons.-parking scarce when farmers market is on."
"Food is authentic. But a bit in the salty side. Tell them to keep it on lower side. It's a hole in the wall really and will take time to improve to a level where it's for even. I came here second time. So worth a try."
"Not much to mention about this place. Decently priced and food was just ok. Nothing really stood out aside from the rice. Chicken Masala, Garlic naan (pretty good), lamb curry and Tikka Masala are some main dishes we tried. Make sure to ask if they can make some dishes not too spicy. Felt like every dish we had that night was overly spicy. Flavor was decent. Not sure if we'd be craving but it's super close to the house so eventually on the way home or something we'll probably try again."
"I had recently ordered parippu vada and Pazham pori. I was given ulli vada and pazham pori and they were kind to follow up with a call via doordash. The pick up was smooth and the food tasted excellent. Their pazham pori was spot on and chai is a must try. Would definitely recommend this. Looking to taste their other specialities on menu."
"I think this place makes pretty good North Indian dishes - like chole bhature. The street snacks like dahi poori, papdi chaat, etc are good as well, but they lack a twist in taste, maybe if it could be a bit spicy, had some chaat masala then it'd taste even better. My pav bhaji tasted well, but next time I'd recommend adding some more chili to it, to up it another level. Similar with Dal Makhani and chole. The service is pretty slow but the staff is very nice. We had ordered one dish with no onion and no garlic and we found some onions in the dish so the staff was nice enough to even replace the bhature with chole instead of just chole. Next time I come I'd want to try their parathas with dal makhani."

The prawn tikki masala and garlic naan are my go to comfort food. The rich, flavorful masala brings together a perfect blend of spices, with the tender and juicy prawns being cooked just right. It's simply the perfect combination! The staffs were very attentive and welcoming. Everything was served with a smile. I just love this restaurant :)

One of the best food truck with authentic taste. My favorites are Momos and chicken lollipop, best in town and haven't seen anyone nearby who can come close to taste and price. Worth it.Ask Dominic for any specific instructions and he follows. The only place that uses green chilies to make food spicier instead of chili flakes or siracha. But be aware that this place get overwhelmed on weekends so please order food before time.

The worst Meal I ever had is at this place. They will pack you rotten food. Would never recommend anyone to go at this place. Protect your health. They don't even take order properly. Ordered the Rava dosa and they gave Masala Dosa. Also the side chutney's they packed was all rotten. Wish there was an option for Negative star.

This place deserves a chance ; don't know why unfair ratings !!! Things I tried:panini sandwich, Egg Ghotado, frankie, Pav Bhaji. All are five stars !!! Really awesome food; and cool ambience. Worth to try out . Even restaurant owner gave complementary indian flavored roll-up ice cream and it was really yummy.

"10/10 loved the food, ambiance and the service. Despite this being a new place and having not many reviews, there was quite the crowd that trickled in on Sunday evening at ~5.30 PM. The food appeared to be prepared fresh and was the right temperature for most dishes. What we tried:1. Bhel puri - the mamra/kurmura was still crunch with cold chutneys, boiled potatoes , onions, tomatoes and crush puris for crunch. 5/5 2. Aloo samosa - piping hot! The stuffing inside was so well spiced and tasty. Loved the sweet tamarind chutney it was served with. I didn't like the green chutney personally. The cover of the samosa was crispy but had some cracks which makes me think they freeze their samosa and fry on demand. 4/5 3. Bombay sandwich- grilled sandwich with standard Bombay sandwich vegetables including beet root. Some light grated Amul cheese on top really makes this sandwich very close to grill sandwiches from Mumbai. Best so far compared to other Bay Area places doing sandwiches. 5/54. Their newly opened live pani puri station- the puri was crispy and fresh. Ragda was not as hot as expected though, next time I will ask them to heat it up even more. The puri was filled with ragda and green/spicy pani and the sweet chutney was optional which you could add on your own. There is also an option to add chopped red onions and grated carrot to pani puri which is not a thing for Mumbai pani puri but I guess other places in India eat it this way. 4/5 Overall a great new addition to Bay Area and the UlavacharU brand. I am impressed with their diversification strategy on how their original restaurant has the best paneer biryani and a decent buffet, their tiffins restaurant variation has good idli, dosa and uttapam along with good sweets and now this place excels in chaat, other snacks and sweets. I can't wait to come back to try other items on the menu next time."
"I loved the butter chicken and naan dish. It's a crowd pleaser for a reason! It has a smokey, creamy flavor that goes great with chicken or vegetarian options. I enjoyed talking to the manager as well. I'll definitely come back to try more dishes here or at their other restaurants in the area."
"The best budget indian by spades in the bay area. The Indian food in CA sucks so bad, I can't tell why. But the saag here is one of the best I've ever had."
"Decided to try out a new Indian restaurant apart from a few of our usuals just to give it a go.We ordered lamb biryani, lamb saag, and butter chicken plus two orders of basmati rice.First of all, they are GENEROUS in their serving portion. It's so much food that for two adults, we are having them for 2 whole meals. So definitely it's value for the money spent. However, why the 3-star rating? Both the lamb saag and the butter chicken taste very sweet. It's sweeter than what we are used to with Indian food and so it just didn't taste right for us. Both of the entrees had a good amount of spice flavor still, but just too sweet for our palate. It would have been great is they say half the sugar/sweetness amount. Not sure if this was a fluke where someone made a mistake, but definitely not something we would have unless the owner or someone can assure us this was a day where sugar was used instead of salt? The lamb biryani rice was good, however. A little on the spicier side, but when you eat it together with the yogurt side, it is SO good! So this saved our meal for us where we'll have some curry and then some biryani rice to remove that sweet taste."
"When I went to place an order for pickup, I didn't realize they were a cloud kitchen. They don't take orders online or over the phone. You have to go in-person to order. That can pose a bit of an inconvenience. I got the masala dosae. It's not the paper thin crispy dosa that I was expecting, and instead it's almost like a pancake batter with a spongy texture. The red chutney and potato filling were excellent, at just the right heat level for me. The coconut chutney brought a refreshing balance to the rich dosa, which was a bit on the greasy side. You also get a tangy spice infused oil as condiment. Both complement the dosa perfectly. The order comes with a small side of sambar, a lentil tamarind based soup. The only vegetable I saw in it was stewed onions, but I nonetheless enjoyed it. Love that they use compostable to-go containers!I will definitely be back many times. You get a filling amount of flavorful aromatic food for the price."
"Fast pickup makes this a good stop when you're really hungry. I usually order via Bytes app. Everything here is delicious. Must try is podi idli. My fav is thatte idli sambhar."
"I was driving to work when I saw a new food truck I haven't seen before, and I got excited because it was my home food! I went and told everyone on the team that a new truck was here and whether we wanted to try. Some of us even already brought lunch but we were okay with saving that for later to taste some South Indian food, especially made with millets so it's healthier! Usually you use rice and daal, so millets gives the effect similar to brown rice where it has better nutrients and fills you up healthier than regular or brown rice. The beach sundal is a must try! It's pretty simple, yet tastes so flavorful. Right amount of tart, masala, and the crushed poori, fresh onion, and cilantro add to the flavor! The dosas tasted pretty similar to regular dosas, which was such a huge plus and means it's made really well! The chutneys and sambar also tasted super authentic, where the sambar was just a tad too watery to my liking. Very home style tasting and not unhealthy. The pongal was interesting and where you can tell the millets the most, and it tasted pretty authentic as well. I think this is a must try if you like healthy South Indian food and want to try a new food truck in the neighborhood. I think this will gain great traction!"
"Delcious unlimited Thali's!!!!! My boyfriend and I had a an amazing time at Rajwadi Thali Chaat and Sweets. Since it's unlimited, you can literally get refills on anything! My favorite was their shahi panner, I love how creamy it was. I just ended up drinking it at the end haha With your unlimited Thali, it also comes with dessert! My boyfriend loved the mango ras!!!I highly recommend this place, not only was the food amazing. The staff was so friendly and very attentive. They came around bringing out refills of the thali's, roti's, samosas,... and more!Thank you so much for inviting me to come enjoy delcious Thali's. I had an amazing time"
"My wife and I was craving Indian. My daughter was craving dosa. Not many Indian restaurants around Fremont serve dosa. My friend recommended we give GumaGumalu a try. We took his suggestion. We arrived a little after 6pm on a Friday evening. Finding parking was no issue, as this restaurant is located in the Ranch 99 Plaza. When we walked in, we were the first customer and was greeted with a friendly smile and the lady told us to sit anywhere. We sat down and ordered our food. Daughter got her dosa and mango lassi. Wife and I got the garlic naan, andhra chicken curry, vijaywada chicken biryani, and a samosa chaat. Food arrived in a reasonable time. First came the dosa platter with 3 chutney dipping sauce. Then came the samosa chaat. Then the andrha chicken curry. Then the garlic naan. And last to arrive was the vijaywada chicken curry.Everything tasted super delicious. My daughter really enjoyed her dosa and mango lassi. My wife and I enjoyed everything else. The food portion was great. When we were full, we still had plenty of the rice and chicken curry left over to take home. The complimentary chai tea at this place has a distinct sweet after taste, even though no sugar was added. It did not taste like other chai tea from other restaurants, but was still quite nice. I really enjoyed the dosa and the garlic chutney is hands down my favorite dipping sauce. The spice level and flavor on the rest of the dish was perfect for our taste. We definitely will come back again next time we want Indian food."
"I don't know why this place has terrible review but I tried the jalebi from this place. In my opinion, it's better than some places in India.I don't know if this place is a one shot wonder (only make great Jalebis), but even if that's the case I will go back. The Jalebi is amazingly crispy and juicy. The size of each jalebi is not too big and thin and of even diameter throughout."
"I was fortunate to stop by since I was on my home from Mtn. View. I was craving vada pav and wanted to treat myself by splurging on a very big dinner that I can enjoy a few sittings of. The service was quite fast. Luckily, I was only behind a couple, but as I was waiting for my order a few people came and stood in line, so it might be busy. I ordered chicken biriyani, vada pav, and chicken momos. I am a little ashamed to admit that it only took me 2 sittings to finish everything. Everything was that good. The vada pav was my favorite. The momos took me back to Bini's Kitchen in SF. It was so juicy! The chicken biriyani was flavorful w/ each bite. Accepts cards. I loved it!"
"This was an excellent Thali meal with amazing value! The variety of curries was fantastic, offering a great mix of flavors and textures. The food was prepared quickly, and the online ordering process was super easy and convenient. The takeout packaging was flawless--everything was neatly packed and stayed hot. The staff was polite and welcoming, with everything ready to go in what appeared to be a very tidy interior. Definitely a spot worth returning to!"
"From the tame to the exotic. Parktown Pizza is a pleasant dining experience. The thin crust pizza we had was excellent. The handcrafted cauliflower crust was thin - just as we had ordered. The toppings and sauce were well balanced and was in one word delicious. The service was AAA+++. Give Yourself a pleasant break from the day and enjoy a night out at Parktown Pizza ."
"If you're Craving Authentic Fijian Curry, This is the Spot. Drove an hour to get 2Chicken + 1Lamb Curry and an order of Chicken Curry Taco which is the Star of My Show. Everything was Superb and Flavorful! We will be back as I add FijiFry to Our Faves List. Thank you for having our order ready in less than 15mins. See Ya Soon!;)"
"If you're looking for authentic Indian food this place is well worth the visit. There is a lot here worth unpacking and plenty of good options for food on the menu to enjoy."
"Vegan Mushroom and Cauliflower Peas Curry & Vegan Momo Super flavorful! The warmth from the spices is what gets you full without being over-the-top full!"
"Got to know about this gem of a restaurant through the TGTG app. Right from the get go these guys have had their food better than most if not all Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. It's a small place at the intersection of Bascom and Newhall in Santa Clara. Let me talk about the food I got through TGTG - Pongal, sambar, chutney, cauliflower 65, kesari bath, garlic naan and curry for naan. My wife and I shared this for dinner and I kid you not - we were both full!! The pongal was amazing - but sambar was out of this world! The Kesari was good too. The curry for garlic naan and the naan itself were good too. Overall I would recommend and revisit this place. BTW, they were giving patrons free Masala Chai - which was among the best chai I had in the Bay Area! Kudos to the management- maintain the taste and quality and you will not run out of customers!"
"This is a a very good restaurant, the staff are very very friendly and nice, they got the food out in a reasonable time and the restaurant has a laid back and easy going vibe to it. I totally recommend getting food here, it was fresh and piping hot. Also flavorful and great tasting. I ordered a vegetable korma and mango lassi and its super good"
"Delicious did, beautifully decorated, and amazing service. Great with kids and fair prices for such a nice restaurant."
"Craving butter chicken and went to Rangoli's only to find out they are no longer in business. So Yelp to the rescue! I been seeing adds for Off the Record, but never bit. I actually didn't realize it was Indian fare. They were closing in 52min and would reopen at dinner time. I was not waiting. Very cute location with cool outdoor seating/patio area. Walked in and felt kinda nightclub-ish. Lights were warm and inviting, walk up bar, nice padded booths. The menu is pretty vast. I can comfortably bring my vegan kid and we would both have lots of options. Great smells wafting from the kitchen. Ended up with butter chicken, butter naan and rice. I'll be back to update on the food. Update: butter chicken was just that...nice and buttery and creamy. And boneless. I have a dislike for bones. Nice chat to the meat and very tender. Basmati long grain and butter mama to go with it. I like my naan a bit more flavorful so I will try the garlic next time. All in all good experience. Will be back for the outside dining"
"Wow. Flavor bombs, brilliant spice levels and great size per cost!! What else do you need. The Bay Area is no slob when it comes to ethnic food, but there aren't a lot of Himalayan food options. A wonderful fusion of South and East Asian flavors (think Indian food meets low mein) I had a bit of it on the East Coast but was happy to see Everest in a small shopping center near my home. Ordered a smattering of their very large (and Veg friendly) menu to go. The City chicken was slamming and the chicken was not dried out. The tandori momos were very unique and packed with flavor while the classic momos were clean, straightforward and delicious. The goat Biryani was packed with flavors and chunks of meat. The final bill was the best bang for the buck I've had in San Jose in a while. Differently on my rotation when I'm home!!"
"The lunch specials are back as of about a year ago, but I've only eaten here maybe 2-3 times in the last year. Decent size lunch for $13-$14. Not overly filling but it will hold you over until dinner time. It took about 10 min for my food to be ready and in the meantime, I just sat at a table a scrolled on my phoneThe lunch is pictured and is very tasty. Really can't mess up a staple of a dish that chicken tikki masala is, and they're spot on with the flavor. My only wish is that they put more than 3 cubes of chicken in the lunch. It almost looks like a plastic cup of soup, but there were 3 small cubes of chicken in there. I could have given this a 3 star but the naan was good and of regular size."
"I went to VKR after couple of years. They have made all the dishes less spicy which is really good for kids. Food is delicious and they come to the table to serve rotis and poori which makes the experience very enjoyable. Neat and clean."
