"Pie HardLocal woman-owned pie shop located in a nondescript Willow Glen strip mall at the edges of The Mighty Guadalupe. They do more than just sweet fruit pies, but savory quiches, tarts, and egg custards. My son decided he'd rather have a fruit pie for his birthday than a cake--he is my son after all! He settled on a blackberry pie so I ambled in after work one day to place an order to be picked up the next day. The Good:*Ordering process could've been smoother, but the guy at the counter was still training so I'll cut them some slack. *Indoor seating for dining in*Tons of different flavors to choose from in almost every category. Definitely can't complain about selection. *Vegan options available *Blackberry pie filling was out-fucking-standing. Nice balance of sweetness helped bring out the natural flavor and slight tartness of the blackberries. *Crumble on top was decent, but had a bit of a raw flour taste. The Meh:*Parking lot is tight but there is some street parking, as well. *A bit pricey but everything is handmade *I'm not 100% how I feel about this part, but their crumble on top contains almond flour; I wasn't aware of this when ordering or I would've bounced seeing as my son has a tree nut allergy. Fortunately, **he** did spot a sign when he and Carissa came to do the pickup the next day, or it could've been a disaster. Now, I get that they have signs and that's great, but they really, really, REALLY should say something to you when you're ordering. Quite frankly, I've never seen a crumble recipe that uses almond flour so I would never think to assume there might be some in the pie--and I'm sure I'm not the only one. The Ugly:*While the filling was fantastic, the bottom crust was the complete opposite. Somehow they managed to overbake and simultaneously underbake the pie crust at the same time. It was stiff as a rock and pale as an albino's ass. Not sure how that happened, but mazel tov? (ノ゚゚)ノConclusion: Great filling but awful crust. Would definitely be willing to give them another shot, tho."
"I was craving something sweet after dinner so we decided to stop by for some rolled ice cream. The staff was very friendly and service was quick. The ice cream was super delicious and big with all of the toppings. It's a great value for the quality they have. 10/10 recommend!"
Order this lemon pie when you're craving a light and fresh dessert! Lemons are hand squeezed and zested. A lot of work for the same amount of pleasure! Contains: wheat, butter, egg.

"Started skeptical because it was dead inside, but then assumed that this was due to it being a holiday weekend. Ordered the glazed pork ribs, gambas, and calamari off of the starter menu; again not expecting anything spectacular. WOW food was elevated and finger licking delicious! We also ordered two cocktails and they were top shelf...not at all watered down, had all the garnishes and proper ice for what we ordered. Support this local diamond in the ruff, you won't be disappointed! Only suggestions and not a necessity. Turn up the thermostat a tad. Chop up cashews and sprinkle on the top of the ribs instead of serving them whole-whole makes them a little misplaced. PS: very friendly staff!"
"I did not expect Niles Ice Cream to be so good. I was in the area on a hot day so what better way to cool off than to get ice cream. They have a large variety of flavors and always give you a humongous scoop. - Caramel Cashew - I don't even like caramel that much but I was a big fan of this ice cream. There was huge chunks of cashews in every bite and the caramel wasn't so overwhelmingly sweet.- Peanut Butter Fudge - I love how each flavor is so distinct and this peanut butter one is no different. I love how pervasive the peanut butter was and you can definitely taste the fudge (chunky) parts.Absolutely loved my experience here and am already thinking about what flavor to get next time. By the way, the line may seem long from the outside but it moves very quickly. My only complaint was that I wanted to sit inside the store but there was way too many flies."
"Great bean pies. I buy these pies every chance I get at the Hayward farmer's market The owners also have a store on East 14th street that I will visit soon"
"Very good treats and even sweeter service! I've always felt like Alameda was missing something in the bakery department and Mrs. T's totally fills that role. Everything tastes homemade and small batch. The first time I popped in, I was with my 11 month old daughter and she dropped a bib. A few weeks later, I popped back in and Mrs. T asked ''Is this yours?'' And there was my baby's bib! I couldn't believe she saved it and remembered it was mine. I love small businesses with small town owners like this. I'll enjoy supporting this small business. :)"
"Cookies yes, yes and more Yes's please! These cookies although many try to claim are overrated are definitely delicious. They melt in your mouth and leave you wanting more. My family and I like to order the 6 pack box and get one of each that we all love. My favorite being their classic pink sugar however that was before I knew when you ordered the chocolate chip they service it to you warm! That right there is genius! We were literally fighting over the chocolate chip which is an overall classic fav. The stores are small but welcoming offering really great photo ops! I really enjoy the atmosphere of their stores just so cute like every pink lovers dream!"
"Easy to orderFast Courteous Delicious Perfect level of sweetness We will be back!"
"Took a slight detour while we were otw home from church Sunday afternoon and stopped in to the Public Market with my not so little boys. They are huge boba fans so that's all they wanted the moment we passed Baby Cafe while walking through the Public Market. My youngest and I got the Thai tea while my oldest got the Thai tea with boba Service was fast while we were waiting for our other food order Drinks were fresh and tasty and didn't have that syrupy taste that some places have when they are serving boba Definitely recommend"
"Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2024Post Pandemic Chronicles Dear Croissante,I first fell in love with you at your original location in Santa Clara for so many reasons. The first reason I fell in love with your Santa Clara location is simply for the fact you have the most delectable sweet pastries, savory pastry items, and the most amazing items for lunch like your salads and burger. The salad dressing was so amazing I wish you bottled and sold it. Your Santa Clara location is a spot where I'd meet family and friends. When I heard about your Los Gatos location I was so happy because you're extremely close to home.I wish you had your savory lunch items at your Los Gatos location. I know it's probably difficult because it's a smaller location. Yet, please consider having a few lunch items. It would be my one stop shop- my favorite pastries and a sandwich to go :)I came here yesterday after lunching at Steamer's Grillhouse. It was great to see Kaitlynn from your Santa Clara location. Excellent customer service. The ambiance is lovely- the delicious pastries in the beautiful glass displays.I bought pastries for my family and they loved them!!You're a great addition to the town of Los Gatos.I'm excited to try the stollen. In the words of the Dashboard Confessionals song, 'Stolen,' - 'You have stollen my heart :)Love in 2024,Sweet NoelleNoelle's NotesGreat pastriesAmazing customer serviceA favorite in my Yelp Notebook"
"GREAT FROZEN CHINESE DUMPLINGS HERE. If you have frozen dumplings on your grocery list don't get them from the grocery store, get them from here. Review is only for the frozen dumplings and not their baked goods. They taste fresher, the skins are thin, and it's bursting with fillings. They are located in the freezer on the right side when you walk in, they will be in black takeout containers with clear lids or in bags. They were almost sold out around 2:30 pm which means tons of people are buying them. Some pricing for the ones we bought:-Pork wonton = $6.99-Shrimp, Pork, Chive Wonton = $7.99-Shrimp, Pork, Chive dumpling = $x.xx (forgot pricing)The dumpling we pan-cooked gyoza style with oil and did the other half boiled. Both were really good and tasted home-made and fresh, like something an older relative would make.Wontons same high quality, very good in leftover chicken soup on a cold day.If you've never been here it's inside the Lion Market, just look for Lion in the plaza and walk in, it'll be down the entrance walkway on the left."
"I was looking for something filling, not the usual and nothing commercial.I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and oh my goodness, it did not disappoint. Delicious, well-made, East-African seasoned chicken plate with fresh, great quality ingredients. Huge portion size and immensely satisfying. the prices are great and the establishment is impeccably clean. I will absolutely be back. Easy choice if you're in the area."

We ordered the Apple Pie for Christmas dessert and it was a smash. Not too sweet, well balanced with filling and crust. We have also tried the mini chocolate cream pie, key lime pie, pear and cheese pie, and banana cream pie and they were all excellent fresh flavors. This is a staple for sure.

We got the sorbet ice cream and hot chocolate. Sorbet ice cream was really good - I would give this 4/5 given I am generally not into sorbets. Hot chocolate was very chocolatey and HOT. It was much needed for a very cold evening. I would give the drink a 5/5. They have more interesting aspects to their business in the ice cream rolls they offer, which I will have to come back and try, but so far this spot is pretty legit!Staff: SUPER FRIENDLY. They were well versed in all the items they offered. Ambiance: fun spot for a cute dessert date!

If you haven't tried Treats by Mrs. T yet, what are you waiting for? :)Some of my favorites are the: 1. Signature Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies, 2. Classic Crispy Treats, and 3. Funfetti Cookie Bar with Brown Butter Frosting.None of these tasty treats are ordinary (but they are all addictive). The ingredients are obviously high quality and utilized by someone who has mastered the nuances of baking for maximum flavor. The buttercream, in particular, is melt in your mouth delicious, and I look forward to ordering a custom cake for my next birthday.I highly recommend supporting this local small business that is both woman and BIPOC owned, whether you are treating yourself or gifting some sweets to friends, clients, or colleagues. The professional packaging and excellent customer service are a bonus.

"Great spot for to grab dessert after a meal and hang out. There is one kiosk to order so depending on how many people there are in front of you and if they know what they want, it may take some time.Chocolate monster Sulbing! Tons of Oreo and chocolate powder! If you like chocolate, this is a great go to!The honey butter toast does take a bit of time to prepare compared to their iced desserts but once's out, it's freshly toasted and very flavorful."
"Oh my Golly GAWD DANG, this place... ooooh this place.Been here two times now, and I'm getting closer to the big prize. The Prize being almost everything on the menu cuz it sells out stupid fast.We came here one night, not long before closing, and were only able to get a few things, because everything was SOLD OUT!Tried again a week later, but came around 1600, and wouldn't ya know it, most of the dang things were sold out again! We were able to add a few others to the list of "Tried's", but still missing out on the really good stuffs!I guess I'm just gonna have to come here when they open so I can beat the rush, but hey, they must be doing something right if they keep selling out EVERY FREAKING TIME I GO THERE!!! GGGRRRRRRR."
"Tried the banana coffee with herbal jelly and it was sooo cute. The herbal jelly was shaped like giant boba and the coffee was the perfect balance of strong coffee flavor with a hint of banana milkThe hazelnut americano is not on the best seller menu anymore but cashier said they can still make it anytime. I love finally founding a place in the Bay that serves Korean style sweet americanos."
"Came here after a show at the Fox Theater (which is only a few steps down). SO FRIKIN GOOD!!! Service was friendly and welcoming. I love their casual, laid back, quick stop vibe. Both their gyros and shawarmas were sooooo good!!!! A must try!"
"10/10 loved the food, ambiance and the service. Despite this being a new place and having not many reviews, there was quite the crowd that trickled in on Sunday evening at ~5.30 PM. The food appeared to be prepared fresh and was the right temperature for most dishes. What we tried:1. Bhel puri - the mamra/kurmura was still crunch with cold chutneys, boiled potatoes , onions, tomatoes and crush puris for crunch. 5/5 2. Aloo samosa - piping hot! The stuffing inside was so well spiced and tasty. Loved the sweet tamarind chutney it was served with. I didn't like the green chutney personally. The cover of the samosa was crispy but had some cracks which makes me think they freeze their samosa and fry on demand. 4/5 3. Bombay sandwich- grilled sandwich with standard Bombay sandwich vegetables including beet root. Some light grated Amul cheese on top really makes this sandwich very close to grill sandwiches from Mumbai. Best so far compared to other Bay Area places doing sandwiches. 5/54. Their newly opened live pani puri station- the puri was crispy and fresh. Ragda was not as hot as expected though, next time I will ask them to heat it up even more. The puri was filled with ragda and green/spicy pani and the sweet chutney was optional which you could add on your own. There is also an option to add chopped red onions and grated carrot to pani puri which is not a thing for Mumbai pani puri but I guess other places in India eat it this way. 4/5 Overall a great new addition to Bay Area and the UlavacharU brand. I am impressed with their diversification strategy on how their original restaurant has the best paneer biryani and a decent buffet, their tiffins restaurant variation has good idli, dosa and uttapam along with good sweets and now this place excels in chaat, other snacks and sweets. I can't wait to come back to try other items on the menu next time."
"I've been coming to Nuoc Mia Vien Dong 2 for years, and it's always a go-to spot for me! Their nuoc mia (sugarcane juice) is super refreshing and has the perfect amount of sweetness--never too watered down like some other places. And the waffles? So good! Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, with that perfect touch of sweetness. The quality is always consistent. FYI, It is on the pricier side for a beverage. They have a $15 credit card minimum, so bring cash if you're only grabbing a drink. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area!"
"One of our hangout spots with good friends late in the evening . Wait time today was longer than expected. It seems like everyone is here on a Saturday night for dinner. Service during this visit was mediocre not attentive , understandably, busy night for all the staff . Our group's favorite dish were pork ribs, bitter melon with black bean sauce cooked in clay pot. We could order another plate of their crispy tofu with black pepper & jalapeno. Follow by stirfry ong choy with fermented tofu . who would've thought fermented tofu goes so well together with the leafy vegetables. Hainan chicken dipping sauce were so delicious except I didn't like that. The chicken was refrigerator cold, I know that's how it was supposed to serve . Our two least favorite dishes were the shrimp vermicelli clay pot & the roasted duck noodle soup. MM mom NBCOf course we finish off with waffle balls with fresh fruits, light airy, a little fluff, and the Asian says not too sweet. It's a good thing."
"Tindahan Pinoy is located in a strip mall that has Pho Dao, Đại-Thành Supermarket, Popeye's Louisiana Chicken, T4, etc.The parking isn't too bad. Small place with a couple of shelves full of merchandise for sale. They have a steam table for some food and a kitchen in the back to quickly cook other foods.I came in here to try their breakfast meal of two scoops of garlic rice, a fried egg, tomato & cucumber slices and one meat (Tocino) (3.5/5). It was prepared in about 5-6 minutes. It's usually crowded but not at the time I visited."
"Honestly don't know why the rating is at a 3.5 because this place is so good I gatekeep it from everyone and its SO hard because its SO good to where I have to tell everyone about this place. The service is always so amazing and the workers are the BEST. Me and my boyfriend are basically regulars here HAHA. Our go to order is the Pesto Cheesy Bread (100/10) ask for a side of the hot honey they put on the corn bread i promise you, it is AMAZING. We also share the one pound burger they have which is super underrated. (10/10) The Cornbread is also very delicious. The ambience is amazing theres usually a DJ when we go haha, and it has a bar which is usually busy. Its the perfect little date night spot yet also a casual spot for lunch/brunch."
"Wow !! Their cakes are always so fresh !! One of the nicest bakery in Fremont. They have a variety or breads and snacks, but I mostly go for their cakes. They generally dont keep cakes ready, but prepare fresh for you in 15 mins. Their mousse is melt in mouth. Sponge so soft and fresh. We always enjoy their chocolate and Mango mousse cake. They staff is always nice and friendly.I ordered a special cake for my Sister's baby shower and that turned out perfect. Would always recommend their cakes."
"I decided to come here after work to focus on writing an essay. I arrived around 4pm and instantly noticed that it was crowded. I started scanning the not-so-big place to see if I could sit anywhere. There was a long communal table and a free chair in front of a man, so I asked him if I could sit, and he kindly nodded. I put my stuff down and headed to the restroom (which was clean! Thank you!). I returned from the bathroom, saw an empty table, and moved since I was waiting for my husband to arrive. I tried to log into wifi, but there was no sign with a passcode, so I asked, and the manager said the wifi password is on the receipt after you purchase something. I told her I hadn't bought anything yet, returned to my space, and logged into my hotspot. I wasn't quite ready to order anything yet. About twenty minutes later, my boo arrived, and he ordered a coffee and sandwich while I stepped outside for a phone call. When I returned, I tried his coffee and was inspired to order the same thing. I asked him what it was, and he told me macchiato, so I went and ordered a macchiato and was presented with what looked like an itsy-bitsy cappuccino. I said um, I tried to order what my husband ordered, and this is not it. I looked towards him, and they said oh, that's a caramel macchiato. I asked if I could get that instead, and they said I'd have to pay for the new drink. I said it was an honest mistake, especially since my husband's first language is not English, and the employee said no, so I turned into a Karen and asked for the manager. The manager specified that it was my bad and couldn't do anything about it. I tried to explain about the honest mistake and him not speaking English well, so she then resorted to charging me the difference, which is fine.I honestly refrain from complaining or causing a scene; the thing is that tiny macchiato was like two tablespoons of espresso with some foam on top--tiny. It was bitty, and I would've drank it, but it tasted like tar, and I wasn't in the mood for tar.I paid the difference and got my new drink, and I swear you'd think that I had just asked them for twenty free drinks...they were so annoyed by me. I almost didn't want to drink the coffee because of the bad mojo, but I blessed my cup and drank it anyway. Instead of writing my essay, I am writing this review, and in this time, I've had to use the bathroom again. This time I noticed a sign on the hand dryer (no paper towels are provided) that says to not dry your hands with toilet paper. Um...I will dry my hands with TP if I want to."
"I had heard such good things about this bakery, but the truth is that I don't ever find myself in Oakland in the morning. However, here I was walking on Grand Avenue on Friday around noon. The door was open, and the sandwich sign was out. There was already a steely woman with two boxes of baked goods. I was just hoping she left something for the rest of us.I quite like the idea of a female-run bakery that serves goodies with a dim sum twist. There are no cafe tables in here, so I decided to get three things to go. The first was the $5.25 Lilikoi Milk Bun sprinkled with black sesame seeds and shaped like a concha (photo: https://yelp.to/Z05tT9fmFP). The passionfruit provided a nice tropical zing. The second was the $2 Thai Tea Mochi Bite (photo: https://yelp.to/TZ_f96CKSI).It was definitely a bite much like a mochi mini-muffin. Quite good but you probably need a half-dozen to be happily satisfied. I have to say the most satisfying item was the $4.50 Ube Cookie still soft and warm from the oven (photo: https://yelp.to/vnCitixzu9). I think it was really a combo ube-coconut cookie which frankly made it even better. There are other delectables to try next time like croissants and an okonomiyaki danish. Music to my palate.FOOD - 5 stars...nicely crafted and quite delicious dim sum-style baked goodiesAMBIANCE - 4 stars...nice space, no tablesSERVICE - 4 stars...polite, a bit minimal due to waiting customersTOTAL - 5 stars...unique enough to seek out, for sureRELATED - Exploring Oakland? "I stopped by for *cheap gas next door and stumbled into this unassuming place! Glad I did bc they had a banh mi that I never had before...Bo la lot (grilled beef in betel leaf) in a sandwich form. Yass! Sandwich had all the usual stuff, but the star was the meat. Right texture, hot, and flavorful. Glad I stopped by and will be back!"
"Came here for a late night sweet tooth craving. When you enter Vietnam Town, it is towards the right side that is closer to Grand Century. Marco Polo offers a variety of Asian flavored gelatos like Black Sesame and Thai. Love the rich consistency."
"My wife and I was craving Indian. My daughter was craving dosa. Not many Indian restaurants around Fremont serve dosa. My friend recommended we give GumaGumalu a try. We took his suggestion. We arrived a little after 6pm on a Friday evening. Finding parking was no issue, as this restaurant is located in the Ranch 99 Plaza. When we walked in, we were the first customer and was greeted with a friendly smile and the lady told us to sit anywhere. We sat down and ordered our food. Daughter got her dosa and mango lassi. Wife and I got the garlic naan, andhra chicken curry, vijaywada chicken biryani, and a samosa chaat. Food arrived in a reasonable time. First came the dosa platter with 3 chutney dipping sauce. Then came the samosa chaat. Then the andrha chicken curry. Then the garlic naan. And last to arrive was the vijaywada chicken curry.Everything tasted super delicious. My daughter really enjoyed her dosa and mango lassi. My wife and I enjoyed everything else. The food portion was great. When we were full, we still had plenty of the rice and chicken curry left over to take home. The complimentary chai tea at this place has a distinct sweet after taste, even though no sugar was added. It did not taste like other chai tea from other restaurants, but was still quite nice. I really enjoyed the dosa and the garlic chutney is hands down my favorite dipping sauce. The spice level and flavor on the rest of the dish was perfect for our taste. We definitely will come back again next time we want Indian food."
"FLAVOR (5/5): Been to different Feng Cha locations and they're all consistent in quality! I'm super caffeine sensitive so I really appreciate their selection and substituting for caffeine free options. I have their strawberry overload with sparkling water and it tastes like a strawberry soda! Their breezes on the menu are also a favorite when I feel like treating myself. INSTAGRAM WORTHY (5/5): I love the aesthetic of Feng Cha, super clean and modern with just enough decor and design! The store itself isn't too big but enough for a few tables and photo ops! SERVICE (4/5): Came for their grand opening day, waited about 1.5 hours. The staff stayed positive and the wait for the drinks itself didn't run too long! TAKEAWAYS: One of my favorite boba chains, so happy to have a location closer to me! Right next to subway at the end of the Trader Joe's mall."
"I don't know why this place has terrible review but I tried the jalebi from this place. In my opinion, it's better than some places in India.I don't know if this place is a one shot wonder (only make great Jalebis), but even if that's the case I will go back. The Jalebi is amazingly crispy and juicy. The size of each jalebi is not too big and thin and of even diameter throughout."
"This is a a very good restaurant, the staff are very very friendly and nice, they got the food out in a reasonable time and the restaurant has a laid back and easy going vibe to it. I totally recommend getting food here, it was fresh and piping hot. Also flavorful and great tasting. I ordered a vegetable korma and mango lassi and its super good"
"Excellent fruit teas. I got mango, lychee, and peach teas with passion fruit popping bobas and lowest sugar level (10-25%). They have a buy 2 get 1 free deal. I paid $4.50 per drink + 0.50 per topping. Really affordable, but more importantly, very delicious teas. Their fruity teas are perfect treats on a hot day. The lychee tea has bits of lychee fruit in the drink. I really like the snacks too: takoyaki are my favorite. Service is great: nice and friendly. This is my favorite boba tea in San Jose."
"This place is great is you have a sweet tooth or if you want a quick bite for lunch. They have a good variety of Agua Frescas which in fact they go crazy with their tortas. I grabbed a turkey torta Today, must add queso fresco for the all time experience ."
"We always enjoy Crumbl offerings. Today we picked up dessert for a small dinner with friends. We got four so that the four of us could sample several cookies. I ordered ahead and thank goodness I did. A soccer team descended just before we arrived, but because I placed my order ahead of time, I got most of the cookies I wanted. Word to the wise: Saturday is the last day of the week for them and they are closed on Sunday, so this is when they were most likely to run out of stuff. They had run out of semi-sweet chocolate chunk cookies, but they substituted mini cookies instead. We also got fudge brownie, cornbread cookie and peanut butter crisp. They were all moist and delicious, as we have come to expect from Crumbl. When all you sell is cookies, you have to do it right, and they do! The service is friendly, and the store is always clean and pristine looking even when there is a flurry of activity going on behind the counter."
"Whenever I am thirsty and want a really fresh drink inside Valley Fair mall, Hui Lau Shan is a great option! The watermelon juice with aloe jelly is absolutely delicious, so is the strawberry yogurt drink. They use so many different fresh fruits for their drinks and you can absolutely taste it.What's more incredible is that their drinks are much more cheaper than other options inside the mall. Some of the drinks are under $7. There are other drink shops inside the mall and some of the drinks are $9 and up, even borderline $11 which is absolutely insane nowadays. The staff is always friendly and you can find their little stall in the Valley Fair food court. Next time you're thirsty, I highly recommend for super freshly made drinks from Hui Lau Shan. You won't be disappointed."
"One of my top ice cream stops. Always has interesting flavors and their classic flavors are always good and consistent. They had "Thanksgiving" inspired flavors but the only one I found good was the Parker house rolls with salted buttercream. A trick if you're indecisive and not a huge fan of sweets like I am, is to get a split single scoop, a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Line is always long but goes by fast. Service was great. He let me try all of the special flavors."
