I barely had time to take it all in before being promptly seated in the bar area.And wow, what a bar--elegant, with big, beautiful screens hovering like trophies overhead. My lunch order? A half-pound of all-natural beef perfection, nestled on a toasted sesame brioche bun, with crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and red onion. At first glance, I thought, "Huh, this burger's a little small," but then I noticed how satisfyingly thick it was. Bonus points for putting the lettuce and tomato on the side (I like to DIY my burger toppings).Now let me tell you about that first bite. OH. MY. GOD. A flavor explosion of perfectly cooked medium-rare beef and that glorious, smoky charbroil goodness. Seriously, it's like the charbroil gods blessed this burger. It's been a long time since I've had one this good.The fries? Solid natural-cut classics--good enough to keep eating, but let's be real, the burger was the star of this show. It's a bit pricier than say, Cajun Crackin' in Milpitas, but the flavors are pretty good.We ordered mildly spicy SS House Special sauce *cajun, garlic butter, lemon pepper. Not hot, the hot link sausages were spicier. Go medium & beyond if spice is your life. Sauce is thicker here, like at Ray's Crab Shack.*Combo #1: 2 fresh crawfish +$4 & 1 shrimp (choose 3 lbs from shrimp, crawfish, clams, mussels) includes corn, potatoes, sausage*Combo #3: Dungeness crab + crawfish, shrimp, clams plain boil (choose either crab, snow crab legs, or lobster & 3 lbs from combo 1 options)*Dungeness crab plain boil: they give the option of cut/clean but without the main shell*Garlic Noodles: happy with this because of all the delectable garlic!I was a tad upset I found 3 inedible fresh crawfish (rubbery/easily crumbled with a sandy taste) but the rest of the 3lbs was fine. Shrimp was cooked well. The house special sauce had a slightly sweet taste that I'm not accustomed to with seafood boil.No wait at 5pm on a Saturday. Nautical interior with spacious seating. Staff is nice too. Waters were refilled, they checked on us, and also offer hot water to drink. I really enjoyed whoever's music playlist was playing on 5/20/23 around 5pm! I wouldn't mind coming back."

I recently went to Metro City Restaurant & Bar for my cousin's wedding reception and had such a great time.First things first: there are TWO Metro City Restaurant & Bar locations in Sunnyvale so make sure you're checking the address and going to the right one. Or else you'll be like me and you'll unintentionally crash someone's 40th birthday (lol oops sorry if that was your party!!!)Anyways, this location is the larger venue. It's located in a plaza with other restaurants, shops, and a grocery store. Lots and lots of parking for your events.The space is separated into two parts. It was fine for the party as one side had a dancing/DJ area while the other side had the buffet and more seating/tables. The food was pretty solid - a variety of handhelds like quesadillas, sliders, garlic fries (the best!!). They also had pasta and our family brought in some food as well. The bar was serving up drinks all night and their one bartender held it down for our very eager to drink family.The bathrooms were very clean, though there was only two single-bathrooms so you just might have to wait a bit. Looks like they also have pool tables available, but we didn't use that for the night. Solid venue for a fun night of dancing and celebrating!"

"This was the perfect place for my wife and I to enjoy our Valentine's Day dinner. Like so many we encountered who didn't reserve or previously plan in advance to go to a particular restaurant our options were limited. Thankfully, Hayashi came to the rescue. Although there was only 30 minutes until closing, management quickly seated us, and anyone else who followed, happy to serve them. The service was excellent. The food options were decent. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our combo meal which consisted of a delicious rainbow roll and teriyaki beef. In addition to that we ordered some alcohol, but I cannot recall unfortunately, the drink my wife ordered. It came in a really cool bottle that had ice cubes centered out in the middle to keep the alcohol nice and cold.Both of us were more than satisfied. Not just in the quality of food, great service, but beautiful scenery that carried an aura of happiness for each customer that was seated in their restaurant. We look forward to coming back here again, and I happily write this place a 5/5!"
