"Internet is super fast which is a plus if you like doing work outside. Drinks taste refreshing and come out fast. Servers are nice and friendly. Great place for a lunch break because it's just some stairs down to Whole Foods."
"Great pizza plus good salads and wine. A nice place to share a pie before heading over to see a movie at the Elmwood Theater. I do wish they stayed open until at least 10. 9pm is such an early time to close, and we typically don't eat until 8:30 or so. Nonetheless, this place is cute. If you sit upstairs on a chilly night, it's nice, warm seating due to the heat rising from the pizza oven. We'll definitely be back."

"I've been here a few times and it's always great! This is one of my favorite Italian places in South Bay. I usually get their pastas and it's always so flavorful - I think their best one is the spaghetti carbonara. They also change up their specials. I've tried the salmon and enjoyed it a lot. Price wise, it is also quite decent. Each meal also comes with free bread, which is quite tasty! The ambiance is very casual, it's a great place for any occasion!"
"OMG THE CLAM CHOWDER!!!Fresh, thick, full of tender clams, hint of garlic... PERFECT!!! Tim is a great server, too. These delightful dishes keep us coming back!"
"I cannot resist ordering the Hickory or Guaco Bacon Burger whenever we stop by. Paired with a nice cold beer and garlic fries, the whole meal is complete. Nice place to watch hang out and for sports. Order at the counter and a buzzer is given to you to let you know when your food is ready."
"Live music on Wednesday and great beer! What more do you need?Great place to come and grab a beer, hangout and snack on light bites."
"Hi, there! Time to share my experience at Pizza Me! Food I ordered:Large Half Meat Lovers & Half Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pizza (4 stars)Both of them reach my taste, compare to the meat lovers, I like creamy chicken Alfredo better, the jalapeño on the meat lovers is too spicy for me. Chicken Caesar Salad (5 stars)The kitchen in the salad is so tender, it's NOT DRY AT ALL! My friend loves it pretty much! BBQ Wings (3 stars)The wings are not bad, but kinda saucy for me.Customer service: 4 starsAmbiance: 4 stars"
"An institution in downtown Palo Alto. Service is friendly and pleasant. Food is serviceable with nothing that stands out. Lots of tables inside and out. Fills up on Stanford football game days. Great beer selection!"
"I love this place when I'm craving a good burger. This is my to go place. The customer service is always on point."
"My wife and I love goto the pruneyard for date nights as they have some of the coolest restaurants (Luna, Orchard City Kitchen, ect.) Whenever we goto Luna - there's generally a 20-30+ wait when we arrive so we usually make our way next door to Out of the Barrel for a drink. This place is a small but super cool taproom. There's limited seating inside but the outdoors have plenty of bench and table seating. It's a very friendly and informal environment which makes it very approachable and enjoyable when hanging with great company over a craft beer. Every time I've visited, the bartenders have good and positive energy and will seek you out even through a busy crowd. I used to be an avid beer drinker - primarily IPA's but I have transitioned mainly to wine and whiskey over the last few years. This place sources from independent craft breweries so you'll find some hidden gems that you won't find at your local grocery store. For the wine lovers - while there is a limited selection, I'm just happy that they offer an option for us. They essentially offer one of each type of wine (Pinot noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, ect.) We ordered a bottle of red wine - Cabernet Sauvignon. It was fairly priced and delivered for its priced point. I will point out that red wine typically needs to be stored around 55-65 Fahrenheit. When we got the bottle, the temp felt like it was stored with the beers, just something to note for ownership.Overall, always have a great time here. Perfect place to enjoy company over some drinks and even catch a sports game. They also have craft beer you can purchase to go. Come check this place out!"
"Hidden little gem in a random strip mall next to a daycare center. The taproom is connected to a pizza place. They have a large variety of beer, cider and other drinks. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of sitting room, large tables, lots of TVs. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. Casual setting and great vibes."
"This is a great little brewery located in Downtown San Jose. They have a pretty large selection of what's on tap as well as serve bottled beers. Not only do they have beers, they also have ciders and kombucha drinks so everyone can pick whatever drink they like. We ordered two sours and one hazy IPA. I'm so sad that I don't remember their names but they were super refreshing on a warm day. I am a fan of sour beers so I was a big fan of the two sours we got to try during our visit. They have a good amount of seating inside but my favorite place to sit is at the outside patio. This patio is actually pretty large and shaded so you don't have to worry about getting hot or burnt on a warm day. There are plenty of trees that will keep you cool. Parking can be a little tricky since this place is located right in the heart of Downtown San Jose. We were lucky enough to snag a parking spot on the street. This breweries patio has gotten to be one of my most favorite patio areas there are just because of the seating and shade. I will definitely be returning here."

I love this lil gem! It's conveniently right above Whole Foods on the Alameda, and with parking onsite. My favorite weekday lunch is grabbing hot bar food downstairs then heading up for a beer at Floodcraft. They offer their own brews as well as a great selection of beers from breweries throughout the Bay Area. Happy hour during the weekdays until 6 too!

Nice Italian restaurant located at the end of Castro street. Great location, friendly staff. The lobster ravioli was colorful and cooked perfectly. The fried calamari was also great when it was fresh but later it got cold and couldn't end up finishing it, so be sure to eat it quickly! Overall it was a very filling meal and a pleasant experience.

We had lunch here over the weekend here and i couldn't believe how packed the place was. Our name was put on the list and we were seated within 5 minutes, which was quick. We were seated in a nice clean booth. We both ordered the grilled rosemary chicken sandwich. I chose the soup for my side and my husband got the salad. Our food arrived quickly with our sides arriving first. My soup was the fideo chicken and it was delicious. The salad my hubby ordered looked really good and it was big. Our sandwiches arrived shortly after that and we both thought they were excellent. The grilled chicken was moist and juicy and full of flavor. Our service was also excellent. We will definitely be returning.

I love this place! A friend introduced me to it earlier this year, and I've been back so many times since. My go to order is the Double Cheeseburger with a Basket of Onion Rings, but when I'm extra hungry, I'll go for The Big Daddy instead. The wait is never too long, and I like that every order comes with some chips on the side. The burgers are always nice and juicy, and the onion rings are delicious. The sauces here are pretty good too, I always get Honey Mustard.I'll definitely keep coming back for more!

After last minute Thanksgiving shopping, and not wanting to cook. I thought I'd try a new pizza spot nearby. "Pizza Me" had good reviews, so we ordered ahead to dine in. It's located in a strip mall, and is not too big. Inside they have large tables , with plenty of seating. The young lady at the counter was nice, and our pizzas were served quickly. We got a Combination & Pineapple, Jalapeno w/White Sauce. They were delicious with a crisp crust. We'll be ordering from here again

The least pretentious bar in downtown Palo Alto? Perhaps. Do they have Guinness on tap and fish and chips? Oh yeah. And great looking cheese quesadillas (the guy next to me had them), and every other bar menu type food. There's a lot to look at when you're seated at the bar. They have these little doors in the wall that hide various bar stuff. I'd love to know how the place evolved over time. Whenever I've gone, there were groups of friends-regulars, but I always felt welcomed.

"I discovered this hidden gem on a Friday night with my girlfriends. We saw on Yelp that it was newly opened and wanted to give it a try. Tucked away in a quiet residential area, this cozy gastropub offers a variety of comforting Korean food. It reminded me of my drunken college nights in NY's Ktown. Our favorite dish was the tteokbokki. The rice cakes were thick but pillowy. The sauce was rich and flavorful with a bright spicy taste. It was not too sweet or overwhelming. We could definitely have ordered another plate. The corn cheese and army stew were also delicious and comforting. The owner was very welcoming and seemed very passionate about Korean food. The vibes and music are 100%. We will definitely revisit again!"
"I have walked by in the past and never dropped in. I decided to visit after being impressed by their Black Lager (at Zachary's pizza), and was glad I did. Surprised too, as I soon realised that the brewer had previously been Linden Street Brewery. I'd have come sooner had I known that.I tried a 6-beer flight, my top 4 ranking being (1) The Abbey (2) New Oakland Glow Pilsener, (3) Zapatos Mexican Lager, and (4) the East Bay Nights Black Lager. The bartender was friendly and informative, she told us a lot about the beers themselves. We'll be back!Suggestions: (1) Indicate outside that this was the Linden Street Brewery, with one of the old signs? (2) Let Amtrak riders know that that there is a brewery nearby. In the unlikely event that an Amtrak train suffers a delay (:=) ."
"Cork'n Bottle have a fantastic selection of beer & alcohol. A tasting room with many many many choices that is dog friendly and open late. It has the perfect dive bar feel to it. But most importantly fantastic customer service. Which is the best reason to come in and spend money. I highly recommend you come here. Especially if you're looking for something specific."
"Weird food seems great .. I order fried fish and jicama Fresca.. .. but half hour after I ate here.. I had a major diarrhea.. my friend also had tummy pains..,my other friend saw my video n notice the waitress wasn't wearing mask ... aaahhhh ..."
"This place is wonderful ! The staff is kind, attentive, and even let the community make art in the walls ! We had an iced mocha and a vanilla latte, the coffee here is amazing!!!!!!! The garlic potatoes are yummy!!! We ate a bacon egg and cheese croissants and they were delicious!!!!! I will for sure return to this place!"
"Just a quick little update! 5 Tacos And Beers, Never disappoints! Every time we come here the food is always on point. The staff are so welcoming, hospitality at its finest. I did a recap for my husbands birthday. The restaurants team came out with a flan surprise. So nice ! The whole team at 5 Tacos And Beers are top notch at its finest. Yeimith is the best bartender! Hibiscus martini !! yummy. The whole Staff team, from Robin, Yesenia, Yeimith and others such great customer service."
"My friend and I came to this place during lunch on a weekday. The restaurant was empty, maybe about two tables. Two staffs. Upon walking in, I think you just self sit, ask for menu, then order at the counter. Their menu seems very Indo-Chinese with a hint of Szechwan spices. So if you love spicy, I would definitely try this place! My friend and I ordered: Egg Lollipop, Mumbai Egg Bhurji, egg butter masala. Everything was very delicious. The egg lollipop is spicy but is manageable. I really love the egg butter masala! Eggs do get filling in your belly so we did had left overs at the end. The staffs were very nice, parking is a little small. The restaurant is a good size and very clean. Overall, I highly recommend this place, I would definitely come back and try the rest of their menu."
"Out of the Barrel is exactly on the corner of North Santa Cruz and Los Gatos-Saratoga Road. For easy and ample parking enter from Los Gatos Saratoga Rd. The beer selection on tap is nothing short of amazing. There is a taste for every palette. Seating is mainly outdoors. There are a few seats indoors. Seating is attractive and comfortable. You drink FROM a barrel and ON a barrel!! It's okay to bring food in to enjoy with your beer. I think they sell a few food items, but it is absolutely not a restaurant. It's an extremely friendly interactive environment...mostly male, but all ages and genders can have an enjoyable time drinking delicious beer on this patio."
"Delicious drinksEmpowered staff (meaning, they will correct your shit if you don't drink the drinks right)Pool table is set up like King of the HillDon't go if you suck as a person.. that messes it up for the rest of us"
"My boss wanted to get together at a cafe and recommended we try Awaken Cafe & Roasting since they open early and stay open late! This was an ideal spot for us as coffee and tea lovers, though they also offer boozy drinks. As you enter inside, customers are met with a semi-quiet environment. The high ceilings, dark-colored walls and decor, and sizeable inside area provide a good cafe option. Plenty of customers were chatting like us and working but there was no WiFi. Service wasn't special or welcoming, drinks were made and called swiftly. You will become awakened at Awaken Cafe! Aside from classic and specialty coffees they also serve tea. I couldn't pass up on their Iced Chai Latte which I got with Soy Milk. The drink was on the more watery side and gravitated towards spiced versus sweet. It was fine but not my favorite. This is areturn good option for Downtown Oakland--good for pick-me-ups, spacious setting with lots of seating, and a central location. You can also order ahead online. Parking is limited to the street but close to public transportation since it's off-Broadway Ave. I don't think I'll come back but would suggest it for workers or people to gather at."
"Absolute gem in the neighborhood. If there were more businesses like this in the Town, Oakland would be a better place. Its owner operated so they literally never miss on food, experience, and cocktails. This is my new go to spot."
"5 stars for the food, 3 stars for the service.Food was amazing. Oysters, trout dip, and lobster roll (with Caesar salad) were standouts. Our server was either frazzled or spaced out or both. He couldn't remember anything that wasn't written on the menu. He asked if we wanted hot sauce/horseradish for the oysters, and then took literally 10 mins to bring it over. Halfway through our meal, he cleared a few plates and asked us if we had more food coming? It was very strange. Otherwise great experience."
"Staff is always so knowledgeable and helpful here! Wish they had more sour options but everything I've had so far has been amazing. When they don't have sours, I'll just go for a cider! Feel like they really take the time to curate a great selection with a wide variety. Some of the beers have a little mark up though. Taste away! Staff is always willing to help you find the right beer! Got some samples last time and they did such a good job I had a hard time choosing just one! Lots of indoor seating but I always enjoy taking my beer and sitting outside :)"
"Go here. Just do it. You won't be disappointed. It was getting late and most places were closed or near closing, but this place was open late, and they rated 5/5 stars across 27 reviews -- this is unheard of! So I came here because of that; I had to find out what the heck elevated the food to such a level.I had heard of birria a while ago but never have tried it; it's kind of rare in Minnesota to see it on a menu. I was talking to a customer of mine in southern cal about this, and I decided to try it if I could find a good version. So when I saw it on the menu here, I thought, "if they get 5/5 stars overall, this would be the place to try it". To be specific, I tried the birria nachos.O.M.G. So good! The plate was loaded with all sorts of goodies, and all of them were delicious. Lots of meat. And very little of what usually serves as filler, like refried beans. See photo.Oscar was manning the bar, and he is super friendly and dedicated to seeing that you are enjoying yourself. He verified what I had suspected while I was eating the nachos -- the recipes are authentic Mexican family recipes (his mom's).Check this place out, and tell your friends too. Give them your business, so they are here to stay. The restaurant business is tough, and this is one of the places that I want to survive so I can eat here next time I am in San Jose (a selfish wish, admittedly). And it deserves to be here because it delivers. They get 5/5 stars in every category from me."
"With the sad news that my favorite crawfish place closed (Crawdaddy in Milpitas), the fam tried out Shell Shock. It's a bit pricier than say, Cajun Crackin' in Milpitas, but the flavors are pretty good.We ordered mildly spicy SS House Special sauce *cajun, garlic butter, lemon pepper. Not hot, the hot link sausages were spicier. Go medium & beyond if spice is your life. Sauce is thicker here, like at Ray's Crab Shack.*Combo #1: 2 fresh crawfish +$4 & 1 shrimp (choose 3 lbs from shrimp, crawfish, clams, mussels) includes corn, potatoes, sausage*Combo #3: Dungeness crab + crawfish, shrimp, clams plain boil (choose either crab, snow crab legs, or lobster & 3 lbs from combo 1 options)*Dungeness crab plain boil: they give the option of cut/clean but without the main shell*Garlic Noodles: happy with this because of all the delectable garlic!I was a tad upset I found 3 inedible fresh crawfish (rubbery/easily crumbled with a sandy taste) but the rest of the 3lbs was fine. Shrimp was cooked well. The house special sauce had a slightly sweet taste that I'm not accustomed to with seafood boil.No wait at 5pm on a Saturday. Nautical interior with spacious seating. Staff is nice too. Waters were refilled, they checked on us, and also offer hot water to drink. I really enjoyed whoever's music playlist was playing on 5/20/23 around 5pm! I wouldn't mind coming back."
"As a new resident of Oakland I'm such a fan of this brewery. I love how there's indoor and outdoor seating for those warm summer days, as well as a burger joint connected to it for when you need a bite to eat. Just make sure you come early cause that line can get quite long. They are known for their fruity radlers which are some of the best I've had. My favorite one is the Nordic jam. It's light, fruity, and refreshing. Some other favorites would have to be the radler and weekender. I've been here multiple times now and have enjoyed the vibes and the staff are great. Another great brewery in the bay."
"Friends and I happened to stop here after ordering Fikscue Craft BBQ. Alameda Brewing doesn't offer food but they allow outside food as long as you support and order a beverage which is great! This visit I ordered the Build Your Own Flight: option of 3 or 5. I couldn't decide which but the guy at the counter, Patrick was helpful, friendly, made some recommendations and ended up with Ube Ale, Calamansi Pilsner and Its a Gruit which was a good try considering I'm not a beer drinker. I would say the Calamansi was my fave of the 3 as it had a hint of citrus. Plenty of beer options along with "not beers" (Michelada, mimosas), canned sodas and custom seltzers. So something for everyone. Place is great to hang out with friends, watch sports while dining on food from next door (Fikscue and Monkey King Pub). Definitely a chill spot with families and pets."
"Chomp at the PitAnother quality BBQ joint by this family-run operation that has multiple BBQ restaurants** located throughout Norcal. This location might be my favorite of the bunch, tho, as the Q on our last visit was out-fucking-standing.This is their newest location at the former location of The Burger Pit (RiP), which had been in operation here for over fifty years. The Good:*It's nice to see another restaurant take over the building, as it had been reported by hacky local "journalists," San José Spotlight, that the building was to be razed. *Making the name similar as the OG was a classy move, as well as keeping the iconic neon sign. *Friendly service*Fast-casual order at the counter and the food is brought out to your table. *Interior looks mostly the same and I'm sure that was on purpose and appreciated by locals. I believe they added some nice TVs for watching the sports, but I'm not 100% if they were there before. *As with all their restaurants, they always have a fantastic selection of rotating local beers on-tap.*Carissa loved her Santa Maria Tri-Tip Salad, as the beef was cooked tender and tasty, and the greens were nice and fresh. *Burnt Ends were omfg good. If they're still available--get them! Tender, beefy, meaty, and just the right amount of grease combined with the char was amazing. *Ribs were fall-off-the-bone terrific. Nice smokey flavor, tasty rub, and a nice sweet glaze from the BBQ sauce. *Housemade BBQ sauces weren't amazing but they'll get the job done and that's good enough. The Meh:*If I have one complaint on this local chain, is that's their sides are always a bit on the "Ehh.." side, but I will say that this location did a much better job than usual. The Mac & Cheese was decently cheesey and the BBQ beans were (mostly) cooked thru, which is a typical issue at these places. The Ugly:*Brisket had a great smokey flavor and loved the rub, but the slices were a bit dry for my liking. Maybe I just came on a bad day for them, because they're *almost* there. Conclusion: On a personal note, it's nice to have some fantastic BBQ in South SJ, as it's been sorely missed since The Art of BBQ closed a few years back. Welcome to the neighborhood!**Here's a full list: Aptos St BBQ (Aptos), Trail Dust (Morgan Hill), BBQ 152 (Gilroy), South Winchester BBQ (SJ), Salinas City BBQ (Salinas, duh), Wagon Wheel (Mt View), Mission St BBQ (Santa Cruz), The Crossroads (Carmel-by-the-Sea), The Barbeque Pit (SJ), and Real Smoked BBQ catering."
"Excellent selection of craft beers from IPAs to stouts to sours. They stock some of my favorite breweries including Tripping Animals and Evil Twin. You can buy cans from the case (singles or 4packs), pay at the register, then enjoy them at home or in the store which doubles as a cozy bar. There are also a handful of beers on tap in pint size or growler. Happy hour before 5pm has some $5 beers!"
"Walking up to Jack's for lunch, I couldn't help but admire the vibe--this place knows how to catch your eye! The sleek design and inviting outdoor seating were calling my name. Stepping inside, I was greeted with a classy, spotless interior that immediately set the tone. I barely had time to take it all in before being promptly seated in the bar area. And wow, what a bar--elegant, with big, beautiful screens hovering like trophies overhead. My lunch order? A half-pound of all-natural beef perfection, nestled on a toasted sesame brioche bun, with crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and red onion. At first glance, I thought, "Huh, this burger's a little small," but then I noticed how satisfyingly thick it was. Bonus points for putting the lettuce and tomato on the side (I like to DIY my burger toppings). Now let me tell you about that first bite. OH. MY. GOD. A flavor explosion of perfectly cooked medium-rare beef and that glorious, smoky charbroil goodness. Seriously, it's like the charbroil gods blessed this burger. It's been a long time since I've had one this good. The fries? Solid natural-cut classics--good enough to keep eating, but let's be real, the burger was the star of this show. Jack's, you've officially made my lunchtime legendary."
"I've always passed by here to Hmart but never visited. One parent had organized a team basketball dinner here and I was surprised. Clean, decent seating, draft beer and wine. Cashiers were very pleasant and really accomodated our large group that consisted of 40 people. Ordered a half steakhouse/ chicken pesto pizza and it was delicious. Highly recommend."
"Stumbled on this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and was so glad we stopped in for lunch. The food was great (recommend the Italian sandwich!). Large portions, authentic ingredients. Full bar! Plenty of seating. Clean restaurant. There's a patio, so I'm excited to come back on a sunny day. Good service as well."
"UPDATE: it's not very often the owner of a business takes the time out for a 30 minute conversation, but she did! Marlene, thank you for listening and taking the time to connect with me. I will take my kids back to get their pizza replaced, plus a 2nd one! Marlene you have what it takes to run a well loved franchise, hang in there the food service industry like many others is recovering from "after covid desocialization effects". Keep working with your employees, hopefully the hiring pool improves! You still have a loyal customer raising your next generation of Bronco Billy's customer s! I will update the pictures when we pick up the replacement s. THANK YOU Marlene!"
