This fast paced, yet stylish southern bakery, bar and restaurant is bright, inviting and serving the BEST BISCUIT I'VE EVER HAD!!! It was warm, flaky on top with the perfect amount of salty and sweetness. We came for breakfast for the first time without any expectations. We made reservations so there was no wait. They did have to split our party of 6 into a group of 4 and a group of 2. I can't remember the reason they couldn't put the table together but it wasn't a big deal. they were nice about it. The service was great. The drinks and food were delicious. We went back on a later date just to buy biscuits to go and they were equally delicious as eating it at the restaurant.

So bad baby, yeahThinking here, about the good time...I know has passed..It ain't the old ravishing meBut, it got me looking for gameWe settled into Willa Jean for a mid morning meal..We started w. a "Bloody Mary" for the Lass. And a "i'll need a wake up call" (tequila + espresso + kahlua + shaved chocolate + orange zest for the Lad..quite good..:) The Lass, then ate "grandma's sausage gravy" for breakfast. She enjoyed the plentiful sausage in the creamy well seasoned gravy. The Lad had the "fried chicken + tabasco honey" w. "crispy potatoes". The chicken, though over cooked, and the potatoes, though flavourless, met minimal expectations..:)Service was spot on. This was an "ok" spot for breakfast grub..:)Well, the world turnsAnd a hungry little boy with a runny nose..Plays in the street as the cold wind blows..In NOLA..:)Best, Avram Mardigras Jr.

Came here for brunch on a Thursday, we were visiting New Orleans and were really excited to try the dishes. We ordered the sausage gravy, shrimp and grits, shrimp toast, corn bread and coconut cake. Corn bread: amazing, and with the whipped butter and syrup to die for Coconut cake: huge, definitely share it, really good and moist As far as the entrees we got we thought the flavor was great across the board but all 3 dishes were very salty, would recommend they use a bit less salt on the dishes. Service: 10/10, staff were very friendly Food, 9/10, just overly salty but flavor was great besides that Would recommend to anyone, if I stayed in New Orleans longer I would have came back to try their breakfast biscuit sandwiches and their pastries which all looked delicious

We came here for brunch one morning (definitely take advantage of the standby list while you're walking there). The biscuits are amazing (flaky, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside), and their shrimp and grits were tasty with a side of deliciously crisp bacon. I was excited to enjoy a matcha latte as well, perfectly made with oat milk. We walked out with some fresh-baked cookies and a slice of coconut cake for later in the day. I think the cookies really won the late-night snack game as the cake slice was too large for us to finish and not quite what we were expecting, but still delicious. Service was fast and efficient, and the space is bright and inviting.

Went to Willa Jean for brunch, and it was decent. I got the croissant chicken salad sandwich, which comes with chicken salad that has pecans and cranberries. I was very confused when they served it with Zapp's Voodoo Chips?? It was a really weird food combo and lowkey made my stomach hurt. The menu just said "chips," and all the other yelp photos just had reg chips...If you want to order this, I would ask for clarification. I wouldn't order this again. The service was good and so was the ambiance. It was more casual than I expected. I also loved the milk honey latte!

The best breakfast I've had since moving here and that's saying a lot considering New Orleans has some of the best food in the world!! Highly recommend the WJ breakfast and Fleur di lis espresso drink (basically Vietnamese iced coffee). Parking is tricky around this area and service was a little slow, but it was super busy when I went. Loved the decor and natural light.

This is one of the new hot spots in this revitalized part of town. Always busy so you might have a wait.Huge menu.Party of 3. Benton's bacon-egg-pimento cheese on a biscuit - came luke warm at best; avocado toast and granola were fine.Add some coffees and tip and damages were $85.Good service!

I recently ordered takeout from Willa Jean restaurant, and while there were some highlights, there were also a few disappointments.First, the convenience of their online ordering system was fantastic. I was able to easily navigate the menu and place my order for a chicken cobb salad, which was fresh and generously portioned. The combination of crisp greens, juicy chicken, eggs, and a medley of toppings created a perfect balance of flavors. I truly enjoyed every bite! However, I also ordered the Frosé, and unfortunately, it tasted purely like alcohol and lacked the refreshing flavor I was hoping for. If I had dined in, I would have definitely considered returning it for a different option. One thing that stood out during my visit was the beautiful holiday decorations. The festive decor added a nice touch to the atmosphere, making it feel warm and inviting, even for takeout.Despite the drink disappointment, the overall experience was still positive, especially with the proximity to my office making it a convenient choice for lunch. The pickup process was seamless, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Great breakfast spot. All the brunch greats done well with delicious coffee. The shrimp and grits with poached egg was fantastic. Shrimp a tad too salty for my liking but the grits help neutralize things. Can't go wrong with any of the bowls or fried chicken. Walk ins only, so put your name on the list and grab a coffee and pastry at the take out counter for the wait.

Dined alone and was able to find bar seating. Smaller dining area and there was always a wait while I was there. The Bloody Mary was tasty and could actually taste the alcohol. This place is known for its baked goods so highly recommend any of their entrees with bread. I made the mistake of trying to be healthy and ordered the grain bowl. It had great flavor but a strong kick that made it difficult to finish. The hangover bowl and sandwiches next to me looked amazing. Definitely opt for more savory dishes here
