Wakin' Bakin'

Cheesy grits with bacon and eggs over easy served in a bowl! Yummy. Got my southern food craving totally satisfied. Plus iced coffee on a warm day. We ate among gnomes and ghouls on Halloween morning. Service was lovely too. No wait. And the ambiance is cute and arty.

Okay a chihuahua and a Dalmatian we're sitting next to me. Def helped the ambiance. Just a cute quirky breakfast spot with a short tight well executed menu. Coffee offerings were great.

The walls have beautiful and fun art all over the place! We were set immediately. Our server was over very quickly and was knowledgeable. Our food came out really fast. I have the usual I asked for my eggs over medium and they were perfect. This grilled biscuit you see on my plate is as good as it sounds! The gravy has so much flavor! Nice and thick. Obviously made from scratch and just amazing. The hubby has the king sourdough sandwich. Says it's really good. He is even eating the tomatoes! The sourdough with a garlic aioli on it is really good. The Cajun smash hash potatos are crispy and flavorful. The grits are good and creamy. The servings are very generous. We had to take quite a bit home.

In the aftermath of the recent attack the aurora was soft and sad. Our server was great, cute lil place. Food was excellent very flavorful breakfast, breakfast being my favorite meal of the day. For our stay this was our best breakfast. No wait when we went and sat away from the door it was chilly.

Holy cow! The food was AMAZING!!!! OG Bowl was divine! Creamy perfection! The Tofu Bowl was equally delicious. And did I mention the coffee? Cafe coffee is hardly ever tasty, but this place is a delightful exception. The decor and service were just as great. Get thee to Wakin' Bacon!

Food was delicious. Enjoyed a classic breakfast. The sourdough king was yummy! The bread has a tangy taste to it. The service was fast. We went around 11 ish in the morning so the restaurant was at 60% capacity but can still have a conversation with company. Will return!

Fire all the food was good and delicious it's a hole in the wall also my advice get there early if not you'll be waiting . But the food amazing cooking

I am so happy we stumbled across this place. it's off the beaten path and definitely worth checking out. The food was incredible, especially their homemade sourdough bread and smashed potatoes. the service was amazing and folks were incredibly friendly. It is small, quiet, and quaint. A must!

Never disappoints! Cute cafe in the French Quarter with upbeat service and great food! I typically have the amazing Sourdough King breakfast sandwich, but recently tried the Confit-o Burrito. It was perfection! I was lucky on my recent visit not to have to wait, which was an incredible surprise since there is typically at least a small wait. Great neighborhood gem!

They servers were so nice! The food was amazing as well. This experience is something that I will take back home to talk about.
