I'm generally a fan of American bagel but this location has the bagels sitting in bins, precut and they were stale. Usually they are made fresh and sitting in the case etc. not here.

I was prepared to be unimpressed. But I asked the staff what their favorite bagel for a turkey sandwich was and she told me which and why. Service was efficient and staff were nice to me. It's listed as around $10 for I was charged $14 so I guess the bagel was an upgrade. Anyway it was really good and I didn't feel like I had a greasy gut bomb. In an airport that's a win.

The lady did not acknowledge us when we walked up, we had to just say "excuse me" and then she looked up (but didn't reply) so we just went ahead and ordered. We were the only people in line. We ordered 2 BLTs on jalapeño cheddar bagels, one cinnamon crunch bagel and 2 coffees. We got one BLT with the correct bagel, one BLT with a cinnamon crunch bagel (ew) and the coffee, which has clearly been brewed early in the morning and tasted like shit. Then asked again for the cinnamon crunch bagel.... boo

One of many poor establishments at MSY. Walk up. Place an order to include a BLT. Now that's a bacon, lettuce, and TOMATO sandwich. They proceed to accept my order but share after the fact that they have no tomatoes. Well...that means you don't have BLTs available at the moment. I mean, would toy pay $10-$12 for a bagel sandwich that's missing a third of its ingredients? Make it make sense. And it's the nonchalant attitude rather than offering an alternative that just made me say forget it. Sigh. If your flying out of MSY -- eat before hand.

REALLY wish I saw the reviews for this place before I got food from here. Service is atrocious. It's absolutely clear that these girls don't give AF about their job or customers. Turned on the lights so I asked if they were open. Said yes but I still had to stand and wait for them to finish off their phones and then move at a glacial pace to take my order. It was extremely clear I needed to leave but she made zero effort to move any faster. It's sad that airports allow companies like this to represent NOLA to foreign travellers. Yelp needs a negative scale for The Great American Bagel. Seems most people would have rather scored on that than stars.

Bad service and very rude attitude from the staff. This morning I went to get a bagel, somehow the printer did not print out the receipts correctly. The female staff did not want to fix the paper , two customers' receipts were ill- printed, and mine was not out at all. I politely ask the staff to fix and print for me. She replied" I need to ask my manager to do it. You need to wait a few minutes if you want your receipt" . I told her I could wait, and she can move on serving other customers. 5 minutes later, a male staff came to the checkout area, chatting with her constantly. I thought he would help her on printing out my receipt. Another 8 minutes later, this female staff went to the back room, when she was back, nothing happened on my receipt. It had been almost 15 minutes and she did not update with me on my receipt at all! I took the line again, in order to speak with her regarding my non-print receipt. When it came to my term, she rudely said " it is up to my manager, you have to wait! Next one! " . I asked her how long she expects me to wait, she said " I do not know! Do not ask me! " well, this is too rude and I even do not know what I can say. I told her this is not the correct attitude, especially she is so young, she should learn how to serve customer correctly. " I need to catch my flight and I left. But because of this young female staff member's rudeness, I will never step in this shop again!!!Do you want to step into a place like this???Manager, do you want to turn your customers away even your shop location is in the airport???

I'm not sure who owns or operates the Great American Bagel at the New Orleans International Airport, but I would hope their intention is not to make money or provide good customer service... because pitiful customer service and a bad attitude are what I've encountered every time I've gone to this establishment on Concourse B. Let's give credit where credit is due. The food and the coffee, if you actually can get anyone to serve it to you, aren't bad. But the employees' attitudes are horrendous. For example, I went there at 9 a.m. this morning and waited in front of the counter with about six other people. I even gestured for one to go ahead of me... but then when he walked up to the counter, the employee working the register announced they were closing for 30 minutes and he would be the last person they served, despite the fact that six more of us were waiting at that time and no one had said anything about closing in the 10-15 minutes prior to that. The reason for closing: "We have to restock, and we can't very well work the front and restock, too." What kind of reasoning is that? There were two employees behind the counter, and one of them appeared to have already made progress with restocking (nothing appeared empty) and was still working on it... I could go on and on with other observations, but the bottom line is that it's absolutely crazy to close a breakfast restaurant in an airport for 30 minutes at 9 a.m. -- prime time for bagel and coffee sales. As I said in the beginning, it appears the owner/operator/manager of this establishment doesn't care about making money or serving customers. If they did, I don't think I would have had the same bad experience with different employees on at least four different occasions.
