Went for breakfast and the menu had some good options as well as the sweet counter. Got a coffee cake and it was still cold from whatever box it came out of. The BLT was also a little plain for the amount of money it cost. The potato's were very basic and I didn't finish any of the meal. The coffee was pretty good but it would be better to walk a block and get a good breakfast.

Beautiful location in a gorgeous hotelMake sure you have plenty of time as the service was a super slow! Very courteous staff but the length of time to get my order was disappointing. I also wasn't served what I ordered (chocolate sauce not raspberry) but is was still delicious! I'll try it again as maybe it's just an off day. I just expected better from the Waldorf!

Cute little cafe. Liked it very much. This was my favorite place to eat in the Roosevelt Hotel. Service was quick, and even after a mix up with my coffee order, service was very good. The baked goods were amazing! We were there on Christmas, so only baked goods were available. But I understand that they usually offer more breakfast items normally. We tried several of their options, and liked them all. Favorite was easily the orange cranberry muffin. Delicious!! Coffee was fresh and delicious as well. Nice relaxing place to grab something to eat or a snack. I'd recommend it.

Cute little coffee shop and cafe in the Roosevelt hotel. The atmosphere is full of holiday spirit and decor that spills from the hallways of the beautifully decorated Roosevelt hotel. The desserts looked delicious, but I did not try any. I did have a white chocolate cappuccino, and it was yummy. The service was quick and friendly.

Teddy's is the casual coffee bar & breakfast/lunch spot in the beautiful, historic Roosevelt's lobby. If you're a hotel guest, by all means, check it out. However, with all of the amazing food to be had in the city of New Orleans, there's no reason to go out of your way to come dine here. Full disclosure, the only reason I ate here twice during my recent 5-day stay at the Roosevelt Hotel was that I had a daily $30pp credit to spend as part of the AMEX Fine Hotels + Resorts program. Teddy's can be great for a couple of reasons beyond convenience. They have a full-featured espresso machine and can make most "mermaid logo'd" coffee options, awesome to have if the in-room Nespresso machine doesn't meet your needs. They offer an array of grab & go snacks and bottled drinks to toss in your day bag before you head out to explore NOLA. The pastry case has some tasty croissants, danish, and pretty fruit-adorned desserts. Finally, there is a limited hot meal menu with some decent options that you can eat in the dining room or have prepared to-go for a great picnic elsewhere. Your best experience will be before 8a on weekdays before the crowds have begun to form. After that, service & food quality becomes spotty as the staff is overwhelmed. I'd avoid altogether on the weekends. Our first visit was on a Friday morning around 8:30 am. There was a line of about 5 parties waiting to order at the counter and one harried person working there. When it was finally our turn, I ordered the "fresh pressed juice blend" and the single counter person searched in back of the mini fridge to pull out a pitcher covered in saran wrap with about 3 oz of juice in the bottom. She said, "It looks like they forgot to refill it." Thoughts I had but did not say: Umm, ok? That doesn't seem "fresh pressed" to me; is that pitcher from yesterday? I did say, "No worries, how about a bloody mary instead?" Again, rustling to the back of the fridge and pulling out another almost empty container of juice. "Ok, nevermind, I'll have a small coffee." :-/We'd heard on Yelp and through the hotel front desk that the beignets were great, so we ordered "The Roosevelt" to share (2 eggs, 3 beignets, homefries, fruit cup, and choice of meat) plus side of avocado and wheat toast. Our assessment: beignets were just okay, a bit dense and not the light & fluffy texture you know if you have had the best. Everything else on the meal was pretty good, especially the crispy, thick bacon and the ripe, fresh fruit. I was annoyed that my toast was served completely dry with no butter and no way to get any without waiting in line again. The food servers come from the kitchen, drop off your plates, and never return. How hard would it be to put a couple of sealed butter pats on each table along with the other condiments in the center holder, or at least in the self-service utensils/condiments station at the front? Better yet, just butter the toast before serving. :-/Our 2nd try at Teddy's was about 7:30a on Monday morning. This time, we hit the sweet spot: no line and the dining room was in pristine condition. This time, we wisely ordered coffees, a warmed croissant, a breakfast BLT (brioche bun, Crystal hot sauce mayo, fried egg, BLT, plus homefries), and a side of pork sausage (2 links). Our order was served promptly and the food was warm. All tasted fine, especially the high-quality meats. A note on condiments. You'll find a little tray on each table with Tabasco, salt, pepper, and a random couple of single-use, glass-jarred items such as honey, ketchup, mayo, and jam by Dickenson's. If you need other things not on the table, try the station at the door where there are packets of mustard, other jams, plastic utensils, etc. Beware that the jarred items may have been opened, half dished out with someone else's knife or finger, and put back into the tray. No thanks, e coli, typhus, & salmonella! Just make sure you are opening a still sealed container.

Arrived to find five staff (cashier, barista, trainer, busser, and manager) and a crowd of folks trying to figure out where to stand to order. The manager seems primarily focused on arranging the baked goods and distracting the staff, until some folks started getting annoyed. The cashier was trying, but the registers kept glitching and she had to have people spell everything so she could understand them. Any real coffee shop would go out of business at this price point and service intersection. The convenience of the lobby location keeps it afloat.

The Roosevelt Beignets are craaaazy good, like waaaay better than Cafe du Monde. They just look/feel/taste a lot more premium, which also comes with a premium WA price tag of 3/$9 (Cafe du Monde = 3/$3.85). High quality beignets + nutella raspberry sauce = foodgasm.

Picked up a couple coffees. Service was quick and the coffee was pretty good. Didn't try the food. Atmosphere is good given the architecture of the hotel lobby just outside.

Service was great for a walk-up counter. I did expect more from the food at the world famous Roosevelt (now called Waldorf Astoria New Orleans). We had a bowl (about 10oz) of gumbo and a chicken sandwich with French fries. The gumbo was forgettable, but the price will linger in my mind for a while at just under a dollar per tablespoonful. The fried chicken sandwich was crisp yet tender. It was accompanied by pickles and lettuce. There were tiny bottles of katsup, mayo, and mustard on each table. Unfortunately, I found two opened containers. The opened mayo had what looked like katsup mixed into it (probably from someone sticking a French fry into the bottle).I am one of the only people in the country who admits to not liking fries much. With that said, the fries that came with the sandwich were amazing! They had a crispness and seasoning that truly impressed. With all of this said, the business is known as a bakery and coffee shop. I do intend to come back and give their coffee and treats a go.

Beautiful hotel, especially decorated for Christmas. Great location. We had breakfast and the food was very good, very abundant (large servings) and very expensive. Mid-$20's for scrambled eggs, but you're in a beautiful high end hotel, so that's to be expected. Coffee is good -- not watery or weak, but very flavorful and hot.The knock-down was our service. We were there on Sunday morning. Our server seemed not that happy to be there. She didn't welcome us or engage in any way. I ordered OJ along with my meal and it didn't come. I reminded her when she served our meal. After we were finished eating and another server had cleared our table, she delivers the OJ, to a cleared, empty table. When I told her to please take it off the bill, and that I no longer wanted it, boy, did she give me the nasty look! Our bill? She literally chucked it on the table as she walked by.Good place. I think our service experience must have been an exception.
