Tastee Donuts

We were greeted by our shuttle driver at the airport with these sweet donuts. What a treat and a special gesture! We appreciate the thought! Donuts were very sweet and the colorful sprinkles were definitely NOLA!!

Decent sliders, donuts and king cake. I get the same thing every time. Service is fine at the drive thru. And although there's no "ambiance" per se, but both locations have free parking.

They displayed one price on the display and charged me $2 more at the register then would not refund my $2. Rude cheats. Would not recommend.

The best things come in small packages which is definitely true with this shop. My best friend who is native warned me you probably are going to spend close to 30 dollars on just the pastries and she was so right. I got a coffee cake since it had just come from the back. I also got a few buttermilk drops. Then I got one of everything from their display case. Their kastleburger was also savory and helped break up my sugar rush.My one regret is not tasting more of their menu.This was an amazing place. I can't wait to return again to try more of their menu.

I'm giving one star because we got a refund from the guy in the photo. He was very nice. However, the woman in the photo was totally unprofessional,when I called about the defected "blackout cake" which had mold spores... I open the cake when I got home, + called the bakery about the problem. she told me on the phone, "You didn't buy the cake from here, you bought it from somewhere else... I was here all night & nobody bought a blackout cake from Clearview!" I decided to drive back over there immediately! She never asked for proof. She just assumes I never went to the bakery at all! She was there at the counter looking stupid, + I had my receipt

It was the first day of King Cake season.. all through New Orleans everyone is out and about getting their first taste of king cakes. So you know being a foodie and all I HAD to have my fav McKenzie king cake from here! I called early in the morning around 7 am. The lady OFFERED to take my name down because the king cakes were going fast. I told her I would be in closer to 5:30 that evening. I chose this location because of my king cake preference, the fact that it's closer to home and I needed a drive thru(due to the fact That I would have my baby with me and it makes life so much easier). On my way there I called and GUESS WHAT! They still had my king cake on hold! After a bad day at work these people seriously made my day! What great customer service and of course the king cake was as usual amazing! For all your king cake needs this is where you want to come (if you're into this type of king cake)

Just don't eat. It's gross inside. We didn't get two of the things we ordered and the other two were wrong.

So I'm not so big on Tastee donuts and never have been...well, except for maybe their cake donuts. That's pretty good. But more importantly, Tastee is where you can get your old McKenzie's Bakery fix. They sell the McKenzie's recipe sweet rolls, jelly roll, buttermilk drops, coffee cake (which I'll be sampling tomorrow) and KING CAKE! I know, I know. For the folks who didn't grow up here, they just don't understand the love that many of us have for this simpler, sans icing king cake. But this is what King Cake was growing up, all that filling stuff was for fancy folks and probably didn't appear until the 80s.So go get your McKenzie's fix today!

I don't consider myself a donut aficionado, buuuuuuuut I do know good donuts when I taste them. Since McKenzie's has closed, this is all thats left of the REAL Naturally N'Awlins Donut Shops. I actually prefer some of Tastee's Donuts over McKenzie's; just my opinion. This Tastee Donut is in Metairie in Clearview Parkway & this location has a sweet, sweet drive thru, just for "lazy little ole don't wanna keep getting in & out the car" me :) So much to my delight, this location has: *a drive thru*sweet lil grannies that take & push out ur order*best king cake this side of heaven*DONUT HOLES &&&&&& wait for it *Kastle Burgers (not white castle, but they'll suffice for a temporary CASTLE BURGER fix - notice the difference in spelllllling)Did I just go unconscious, regain consciousness & go BACK under again???? I mean really...whats NOT to love about this place... Grannies, donut holes & Kastle burgers???? I gotta stop, I'm yearning for some donut holes RIGHT NOOOOOOW!!!!

Horrible customer service. They took my order three different times and still got it wrong and then accused me of not paying for my food. She asked me who rung me up when she is the person I literally gave $7 to.
