Good tacos at a great price. For $2 tacos, they really load up each taco. The meat is tender and juicy. The tortillas are a soft, street style. 50 cent extra to add cheese to it. The red sauce is HOT! I usually can handle hot sauce well but this one had my mouth burning. Great bang for your buck food truck. But I must say, I was on the toilet all night after eating this

Finally tried this taco truck and I've been thinking about my food ever since. I had the lengua burrito and steak taco. The taco was so simple, just meat in a soft corn tortilla without onions, yet it left me wanting more! The steak was nice and tender and I didn't expect to enjoy the soft corn tortilla. The lengua burrito is a must try. Another review pushed me to try it. I was a little nervous trying beef tongue but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very very tender and flavorful. Verde salsa came with it but it really wasn't needed, it can hide the amazing flavor. Lastly, the burrito tortilla was delectable. It seemed buttery and had a slightly sweet taste with a light crisp. I look forward to trying their other items. If you are in New Orleans East, stop by #3. This one is located on Chef in front of the Winn-Dixie. Until we meet again!

The best taco truck! Right in front of Winn Dixie on Chef Hwy. I know they have a few other la coyotas around the city and they are just as good. They just upped a few of the prices, but I'm not complaining bc everything is made to order and always delicious. The red sauce is my favorite! Most of the time it's super spicy and I drench it on everything. The green sauce is more mild and good too. Gorditas - I always get the beef and they are always super juicy. Cheese, meat, onions, cilantro inside of a fried corn tortilla. The red and green sauces mixed together with some lime make it even better. Tacos - tortillas are corn. The meat you choose is usually cooked with onions and topped with cilantro. They're so simple, so easy to eat, and you'll always want more. I've tried all the meats and the beef and lengua are my favorite. Quesadilla - can't go wrong with a beef or lengua quesadilla. Beef and Lengua - always super flavorful, juicy, yum as you can tell from above. Lol. Lengua is beef tongue, btw. Really depends on your preference Al pastor - I've tried this meat a few times and sometimes it's a bit too salty.

My bf and I would probably vote this place as the best taco truck in New Orleans. We live around the corner so we are always here. The prices are pretty awesome. The line is sometimes long but don't worry! It runs pretty fast. I can't even tell you my favorite taco from this place because everything on their menu is good. The are tacos are pretty flavorful and juicy. Let's not forget their sauces. Be careful, the red one is super hot. Like it clears my noise just by smelling it. Every time I recommend a friend to come here, everyone always come out satisfied. Therefore, this place will not disappoint you.

Wow - totally awesome Mexican food.If they had some brick and mortar with a little patio decorated with Christmas lights they would be best restaurant in the city. I go out for Mexican food all the time at some of the best places, (velvet cactus, don Jose, los jefes) and this truck could easily run them up the street any day of the week...

This is my favorite taco truck in the city. It sits in a parking lot near Winn Dixie on Chef Menteur Highway. This taco truck never disappoints!I always get the lengua tacos, burritos, or quesadillas. Lengua means tongue in Spanish and you literally get chopped up beef tongue (which is much more tender compared to regular beef). The thought of it may sound weird, but you'll be surprised on how good it is! With each to go box, they will give you a small container that will contain either green salsa (salsa verde) or spicy red salsa. My personal favorite is the salsa verde, which I add to every bite I take! Sometimes you'll order multiple tacos for your family and you'll end up with just one salsa container for like 4 orders of tacos. I like to make sure each person gets their own salsa container, so don't be afraid to ask for more! I love the fact that each taco is 2 dollars EVERY DAY, so you don't have to wait for Taco Tuesday to get cheap tacos. This may not be the healthiest food to eat, but oh man is it worth it. Don't be afraid to come up to this taco truck and experience the greatness!

Came here last Sunday. Always excited to try and support new taco trucks. Unfortunately this one was not a winner. I'm the type to never leave a taco behind. However, I just could not stomach these. Tried the Barbacoa, Lengua, and Pastor. All the meats were dry and a bit bland. Maybe they were "off" that day. Definitely did not like the tortillas. Need a different brand or suggest making your own. Rarely in the area so definitely would not return.

My nephew loves the gorditas here and wanted it for dinner. We arrived in the early evening and order ed 10 gorditas - not a long wait at all. I liked the spicy red sauce and lime that came with it! I ate two and my nephew ate FIVE! Lol. I would come back and try other items on their menu.
