Recommended by my taxi driver, and didn't disappoint! I came here during Sunday morning for brunch, and luckily there was no wait. The restaurant was packed, but there were always a few tables and bar seats open throughout my meal. I had a very hearty meal that was great for the price - loaded grits and a small gumbo. The gumbo was the star of my meal. You get so much for what you pay for and it's delicious.

My husband enjoyed his Corned Beef Hash.Normally the Breaux Bridge Benedict is much better. This time the Boudin was too smokey and one egg overcooked. I swap bacon for the ham and add a side of oysters. The oysters were very good. Not worth the $60 plus tip when we just had water to drink.

I was worried since Yelpers say the place is packed and hard to get into, but at 8:15am less than half the tables were filled. It also was a Sunday, but isn't that a busy time? We had a nice table looking at the sidewalk, not on the Jackson Square side though. We should have asked for that table. A table of four locals held court nearby. Looked like a good diner.Server Kalef was quick and brought excellent coffee. I saw Boudin Croquettes on the menu and after our tapas tour in Spain last year, I was all about croquettes, and our family and Chef Raymond at MGSOC raved about Boudin sausage so I had to try them. They were good, but kind of tasted like every other "mozzarella stick". I think I need to try Boudin in its natural state for the full effect.I had the corned beef hash, wife had the Eggs Stanley (cornmeal-crusted oysters, poached eggs, canadian bacon and creole hollandaise on a toasted english muffin).Wife asked for fruit cup. The Server said they did not have fruit cups, but he could get us a banana they used for the Bananas Foster French Toast. We got a banana sliced up, only $1. Score, and props to the server to figure out a way.Wife loved the eggs. I liked the hash -- largeish chunks of corned beef, seared nicely. I think it was my 2nd or 3rd favorite -- def better than the usual ground hash slurry.Hit on all points: fun local spot, attentive service, great coffee, great food, reasonable price.

Our last meal in New Orleans went out with a bang. We ordered everything we could think of that seemed specifically New Orleans-style for brunch: Po Boy Eggs Benedict, Bananas Foster French Toast, Corn Beef Hash Sunny Side Up, and Loaded Grits. The Po Boy Eggs Benedict had perfectly poached eggs and sauce (definitely would recommend adding the arugula and tomatoes), but the bread was a bit tough. The Bananas Foster French Toast, to me, were special due to the ice cream mainly. I personally liked how generous they were with the toppings for the loaded grits and the perfectly thick and chewy corn beef hash with the abundance of potatoes and meat for the corn beef hash dish. Service was good. I also liked how bright and wide the interior was.

I came here early in the morning to just have some time to myself and listen to my book and I got a really nice breakfast. I was able to walk in with no problem and no wait. The table that I got was right near the window so was able to people watch while I sat down and ate. The food was very good and very simple. I thought. I got the eggs Benedict Stanley style which just included some oysters. Very simple. Very good. I would would say that the only thing that I would suggest is that maybe put a little bit more hot sauce on it. I would like to go back and taste more of the menu.

Walked in to Stanley around 10 am on a weekday and there was no wait. Host was nice. We ordered a Eggs Acadiana and an Omelet Sandwich. Bf & I both ordered one and split so we could taste both. I loveeeed the Omelet Sandwich. He loved the Eggs Acadiana. They were both honestly chef's kiss. The eggs were fluffy, not overcooked. And the poached egg on the Acadiana was amazing and that yolk explosion was nut!!!!! Love this place. 2nd favorite breakfast spot in NOLA. The restrooms were squeaky clean and the food came out pretty fast. Their coffee was also one of the better coffee's I've had in the city.

My family was recommended Stanley's on a carriage ride when we asked our tour guide for a poboy recommendation years ago! The location is so incredible that we have found ourselves returning time and time again, and bringing friends too. The poboys are loaded with oysters/shrimp and topped with a tangy coleslaw - delicious!! You can see Jackson's Cathedral and watch the street performers from a window seat!

New in town and awaiting hotel check-in, I needed a good meal! Our hotel concierge suggested Stanley's, and I'm glad we made the short walk down Charters St. to find it. The place is always hopping and bustling with activity, but we were lucky to find seats at the counter. You know a place is good when the locals fill the chairs! The staff was super friendly and willing to chat with visitors. I started with a refreshing cherry Italian soda and settled on the fried oyster Po' Boy. My non-adventurous friend decided on the single patty cheeseburger and fries. We were both very happy with our selections! I wanted to get back to try more regional specialties, but time didn't allow it. Get here and enjoy great home cooking!
