For years Satsuma was my favorite go-to breakfast spot. I love that you can get almost any fresh juice you can dream up. The restaurant is also very dog friendly which I love. The service here is top notch and the atmosphere is very welcoming and free. I definitely need to visit them soon.

We enjoyed a nice casual brunch here. You order and pay at the counter and thet bring you your food and drinks and you bus your own dishes when done. The green sandwich was tasty and comes on your choice of a bagel, croissant or toast. The lemon lavender pancakes were so delicious and they were veey generous with the lemon curd. We did not even need the pancake syrup since the curd was so tasty in itself. The cinammon brown sugar latte was pretty but not sweet enough for me. They do have a section with milk and sugar etc. if you need to doctor your drinks. Others in our group got the breakfast plate, thr breakfast burrito, and the cuban sandwich. All were satisfied with the food and portion sizes.

Cute and casual spot for a quick bite before starting my vacation day. Service was quick and the food tasted great. Not too heavy and the ambiance was quite relaxing.

Food was decent, but these cookies were very good! A great place to stop if wanting to eat outside the "city" area!

Great food and coffee, especially like the pancakes with real maple syrup! Soothing music, local art beautifies the space. Staff is always welcoming and brings your food to the table.

The avocado toast was huuuuuuge. Love it! We sat outside on the shaded patio. The decor is eclectic and there's a really active community board that seems to be regularly updated.

Gosh this was a hard review to write or even number. The employees are nice and friendly and I love the ambience. It's got a great outdoors area with tables and is just such a fun place. However, the two things I tried did not make me a fan. And that's the problem. I started out with the mushroom sandwich and I'd have loved it (I think) except for the peppers. As in hot peppers, and the menu doesn't say that there are peppers. Excited for my mouth catching for I really like the sandwich. So when I returned it I had to come up with something I wanted to eat. That just was such a compromise that I didn't like it. And we had to adjust it because of my being pescatarian. So it was doomed to failure. They do have some cool breakfast items and I plan to come back and will revisit this review then.

It had been a while since I last went to Satsuma, and I'm glad I did. This was my first time visiting the Dauphine St. location (I went to the Maple St. one a handful of times) and enjoyed the location. I ordered an iced dirty chai and the Mexican breakfast plate. For the most part, I enjoyed the breakfast. However, the tortillas were cold and stiff and there was hardly any salsa. If you are going to prominently list salsa as one of the ingredients, I would expect more than a teaspoon of it.Overall, I'd be happy going back and trying other things from the menu. I saw a few people eating pancakes that looked very very tasty.

Great location, great atmosphere, wonderful service and friendly environment. And the portions and quality of the food are outstanding. Whenever we visit our child in New Orleans we always ask to go there.

Ordered bagel with lox. Got the bagel with no lox. Inquired why I didn't get lox and was told you have to order lox separately. Maybe the lady who took my order did not hear me correctly, but they seemed apathetic to me wanting lox and willing to pay for it. Long story short I ate a decent bagel without lox this morning. This was just my experience and there are lots of places to grab coffee and a bagel in NOLA.
