O’Bannon Street Cafe

Working next door to O'Bannon Street Cafe has turned into quite the boon for the local teaching community this week! As they opened on Tuesday, it's been a steady stream of people heading over there to try it out.Given it's the first week, we want to see how it develops over time, but here's the general consensus...1. The coffee - if you're ordering an espresso drink, it's a bit pricey considering it's just an all-in-one machine that creates it for you. It's not as bad as getting it from a gas station, but it's not as great as if you went to a place where they're foaming the milk and brewing espresso for you.2. The sandwiches - they're mostly pre-made on ciabatta bread. They'll throw it in the toaster oven-type machine to freshen it up, but that won't make the bacon crispy. It's like a fancier Subway sandwich without all the specializations. The price is reasonable for what you receive.3. The desserts - the baked goods have all had great reviews. The brownies were served warm with a chocolate drizzle and powdered sugar. Very chocolately and delicious for sure.We will all be definitely headed back there, with high hopes for the future.

Great coffee and some cold beverages too. Food is mostly bakery-type with some already prepped sandwiches. Service was fast and friendly. Modern inside.

The service was great!!! I went in to get a Vietnamese coffee and after my son indulged in the first one, I returned the next day to get another one! So good!!! But

Obvious rebranding of the former Subway but thankfully much much nicer employees and better food. I've had lunch here twice so far, the sandwiches are pretty good. The employees have been very nice and they greet you when you enter the store. As it is brand new, I hope they are able to maintain the "new" quality. I look forward to trying some of their other options. My only complaint, the in house premade sandwiches seem to be stored in the open case with no refrigeration. I don't know how they are maintaining proper temperature for the meats. I would definitely prefer the sandwiches to be made to order.

I received outstanding customer service from start to finish from Amanda. I was served my food and drink quickly and enjoyed the ambiance that the coffee shop brung. I enjoyed the service here.

Nice clean and very friendly service. Was pleasantly surprised by how good the quick ready-made sandwiches were. Definitely more than a step above the previous chain operation.
